Jayce Talis had met Natalia Dvorak in his freshman year of college at the University of Piltover. Her father, Dr. Dvorak, actually studied the same area of science that Jayce was currently studying. He’d had Natalia when he was still a relatively young teen but had persevered and not only graduated high school and college but was also able to get himself a PhD. It wasn’t until his senior year of college that he properly met the man. He and the rest of their friends went over to Nat’s house for pizza and drinks. When Jayce first laid eyes on the man he… well he knew he was fucked.

His heart was pounding in his chest, it drowned out everything in his hearing. Viktor. Gods, where was he? After stumbling off and searching frantically he found him, his husband. He looked like hell. His arm had been crushed, and his tail was definitely broken by the looks of it, but he was breathing— just barely. Jayce screamed for help, for someone… anyone to save his husband.

“So?” It’s Viktor’s turn to slam his palm on the table. The wood cracks beneath it; across the bar, Vander looks up from his table, Silco beside him. “It doesn’t matter, he’s still a traitorous idiot. He still fucked with my head.” He jabs a finger against his temple hard enough to hurt. “If he’s up here, Sevika, it’s because he forced it. Biology is irrelevant, he’ll never be my mate.”

With Piltover and Noxus at war, both sides know securing Zaun is integral to coming out on top. Viktor becomes an integral figure in deciding how the war will end. Jayce hopes to convince him to fight on Piltovers side - if he can get Viktor to talk to him.
