Summary
Mother Magic had Fucked up. Her decision to give magic to the young Riddle boy had brought unforetold consequences, and she put plans in place to destroy him. Yet when her plans fail, a forgotten deal with her husband is her last hope at destroying the wizard that she had once had wonderful plans for. She only hopes that he can be destroyed before too many of her precious children are slaughtered by his hands.
Hermione had backup plans for her backup plans. Failsafe's she put in place in the off chance they failed. It was all unnecessary planning in her mind, as she was certain of their eventual victory.
Then they lost. Her backup plans failed, and her last remaining failsafe was crushed into her chest. Every plan she ever made for her future was lost, but she never planned for the past.
When a deal between Mother Magic and Father Time rips her from her present, she is tossed back to the year 1979 with one goal in mind, prevent her future from becoming reality.
Can Hermione use her knowledge of the future to prevent Voldemort's victory? Could she prevent the deaths of her best friend's parents? Can she overcome her grief and learn to live in the past? -

Forced to return for an 8th year at Hogwarts, war veteran and member of the Golden Trio, Hermione Granger plans for a year of studying and keeping to herself. A growing divide between herself and her long-time friends pushes her to the outskirts of her group, and she takes the opportunity for some long overdue peace and quiet. This is her second chance at enjoying her time at school and learning as much as she can.Draco Malfoy, disgraced and ostracized from society, hopes to prove how much he's changed and continues to change with this 8th year. After spending a summer on house arrest, narrowly escaping Azkaban with testimonies from the help of the boy who lived and the brightest witch of their age. He does not want to squander this second chance at life and plans to do everything he can to prove himself.
I own none of the Harry Potter universe or the characters, that privilege unfortunately belongs to J.K. Rowling. I only own my storyline and any random OC's I add along the way.
