Summary
Going to an abadoned building on Halloween night to look for ghosts? Cool. Exciting. Thrillingly spooky. What could go wrong, right? - That's what Crystal and Niko think, at least until they get locked in said building and realise not all ghosts are friendly.

It’s not that, Crowley comes to realize. It’s not lethal in the way that hurts physically. It’s the way it makes him aware of everything that was taken from him when he fell. The purity, the feeling of belonging to something, the feeling of living for something, not just against it. The warm glow of stars building between the tips of his fingers.

His hand dangles over the edge of the seat he's laying on, his palm open (a palm she could fit her whole hand into once. Laura, he'd said, Laura, and for the first time her name had sounded like something worthy of love. So this is what it feels like, he'd whispered, and then his grasp had some slack around her fingers).
Laura is not that little girl anymore. She's grown out of it, she's stronger now (buried the little girl under a pile of rocks and a wooden X) but the broken whine that tumbles out of her throat sounds small and helpless and suddenly she doesn't know anymore if she's really in this forest or another one entirely.
Or: Laura finds Logan in the Void.
