Summary
The five Virtues, unyielding in their roles, brought the world of Earthbread into a new era of enlightenment and progress. So successful were they, that their power began to rival that of the Witches themselves. When the Witches caught wind of a plot to sever their control over Earthbread, they locked the Virtues away, fearing the power that they themselves had granted.
They separated each soul jam into two parts, scattering these new halves into the lands of Earthbread for new cookies to find. It seemed like such a mercy to allow even a fraction of the power to return after such a betrayal. However, this sentiment was short lived, as it did not take long for everything to collapse into chaos.
To challenge your very creators was certainly a death wish. Maybe they'd gotten too comfortable with their power - too confident. Was it always going to end like this?

Disposing of the to-be archival assistants was the easy part.
Scar caught the first one on the seventh floor of their apartment complex, and with a little coaxing, all it took was a little nudge to send them out through an open window. Their scream was swallowed by the sky, as was the rest of them. They never hit the floor.
Grian found the second drunk at a bar. New to town, new to their job, cut off from all family… No one even noticed when they went missing - the poor thing - and Grian took their seat, pushing what remained of the wispy mist out of the way.
All the two needed after the fact was a set of fake work badges, which Scar happily provided with the help of some glue and scissors.
The hard part was getting past Cub. Because nothing got past Cub.

Summary
After the whole 'the exit was just an adventure' fiasco, Caine has a crashout over how his humans see and treat him. Instead of realizing he's the god of this digital world, however, Caine chooses a different path: to walk a mile in their shoes to see what their issues are first-hand. He comes up with an alter-ego: C.A.M.I.E., or Caine's Anonymous Mascot Imitation Experiment! Now, he just needs to pop into the circus as a newbie and see how the others react to 'her' and look into his all-too-human issue.
Note: Zooble x Gangle is canon but not really a focus. I just think they're cute.
There will be art in this, including Camie's design!
We're all coping with episode 8 in our own ways, huh?

Pomni wasn’t really sure what to expect when she threw her hat in the ring for Operation: RETRIEVE CAINE. All she knew was that someone had to do it, and she sure as fuck didn’t think any of the others would do it.
The entire thing hinged on the hope that his file still existed somewhere in the bin since for some reason, Kinger couldn’t just find the file directly from their new computer. Some explanation about indexes and file corruption that went over her head- but because of this, someone needed to be deleted and dropped into the bin to interact with him and hopefully get a file reference to him, so that hopefully, when they’re brought back, he (or at least something Caine-adjacent) gets dragged back as well.
Hopefully.
God, this is beyond fucked.

In a last-ditch attempt to stop the circus from falling apart, Pomni gets sent into the bin to retrieve Caine, which, if everything went well, should restore functionality to the Circus. It should be fine, probably- it’ll be just like some convoluted high stakes adventure! Easy-peasy lemon-squeezy.It’s too bad computers don’t really work like that.
