It's been a few weeks since Vox kind of, maybe, potentially tried to kill everyone—including himself—with his doomsday weapon. And he would have succeeded, if it hadn't been for Valentino ripping his head from his shoulders. He accepted it at first, somewhat anyway. Hoping that Valentino and Velvette would eventually cool off, apologize to him, and everything would go back to normal. Well, that couldn't be more further from the truth. And after nearly a month of being stuck like this, he's beginning to lose his patience!
TLDR: After the storm has passed, Vox is trying to earn back his colleagues trust and forgiveness. But can he do it without further isolating himself in the process? Guess you'll have to read to find out.

“I’ll go then,” Val announced, grabbing a purse and moving for the door. “After all, I’m such a fucking slut. We wouldn’t want anyone to see us together.”
It was in that moment that Vox knew he had fucked up. “What?”
“You heard me. Since I’m so humiliating to be around, I’ll do you a favor. I’m never speaking to you again!” Val had shouted, wings spread out in a desperate attempt to seem like more than he was.
“You don’t mean that,” Vox said, completely confident as always. The fluttering of his pulse meant nothing. He wasn’t worried.
“I do. We’re done.” Then Val slammed the door behind him.
Vox could do nothing but stare blankly.
So yeah, Val throwing a tantrum was nothing new. But never before had it felt so…final. Val seemed less angry and more hurt. Never before had Vox worried it was the end.
