It’s almost Valentines Day for Ben and Callum. The first one that they will share together and Ben is adamant that he wants to make it special. Sometimes special isn’t a million different plans or luxurious gifts, sometimes it’s just family.

“I mean…” he pauses, moving his hands to Louis face “If nobody but us knew? Could that work?” Harry asks, bringing their lips closer
Louis doesn't say anything he just closes the small gap between them and captures Harry's mouth with his own. Tea on the tip of their tongues as Harry pushes Louis backwards against the cupboards behind him
“What does this make this then?” Louis asks between kisses
“Ours,” Harry mumbles into his neck as he slides his fingers down his sides “If you want it, ours”

“He’s an idiot!” Louis says with a smile “Like he is an actual idiot, he tells stupid jokes often and he always has a pun ready for pretty much any situation, he’s gentle and kind, he’s smart and he knows stupid facts that he will tell me randomly, like last night I woke up for the toilet at about half 3 in the morning and he told me that the average person spends 6 months of their life waiting for a red light to turn green,” Louis grins to himself at the memory.
He thought he was sleep talking at first, then he turned around to face Louis as he climbed back into bed and he just said “Did you know,” then he yawned and Louis just thought he was asleep until he carried on “That the average person spends 6 months of their life waiting for a red light to turn green?” and honestly? No. No, he didn’t know that. He also didn’t know how the fuck he was supposed to reply to that, so he just smiled and snuggled back under the covers, only letting himself grin at just how cute he is once he had turned back around.
“He’s a great guy and I'm glad that it's me that somehow got paired with him!”

The only problem is that with the silence comes more thinking and he can’t believe that it’s taken him this long, he can’t believe it’s taken almost 10 minutes from seeing Louis to actually make the connection. This time it’s his own face he can feel burning up.

Harry’s not so sure it’s fear he’s feeling. Maybe it’s something deeper. Ever since Louis walked into his house, he’s felt on edge. He’s just being himself after all, and that’s usually enough to get just about anyone to drop their pants. But...it’s clearly not working on Louis Tomlinson. It dredges up something oily and unpleasant inside Harry. He doesn’t like it.

“Well,” Louis says, searching for something to relieve this tension. “I think if a bloke gets kicked out of his stats exam for a knock knock joke, he deserves to hear the punchline, yeah?”
“Oh!” Harry says, beaming. “I forgot where we left off, what was it again?” He looks overjoyed to be exchanging a shit joke.
“Ah, you said knock knock, then I said who’s there, and then you said Noah,” Louis supplies helpfully. He hates that he's actually curious about the rest of the joke. “So, Noah who?”
“Oh,” says Harry, in a much different tone, dragging out the syllable. He looks bashful now. Louis cannot keep up with this boy, it's going to kill him. “Right, well.” He shuffles his feet. Fuck, what kind of knock knock joke gets a boy nervous? “Noah a good place we could get something to eat?”
[Harry and Louis get kicked out of a statistics exam for passing a knock knock joke note, and subsequently fall in love. Harry's a virgin, there's a cat, a hot cocoa date, a lot of sex, even more knock knock jokes, and everything is lovely and happy.]

“Right, so like, remember my kitten Graham?” At everyone’s nods, he continues, “Well when I got him he was a bit of a prick. He was just scared, but he wasn’t very pleasant to be around. So my friend Harry comes around one day to hang out and he just, like, bonds with him. After an hour he had him snuggling in his lap. He’s going to school to be a vet I think, and he volunteers in an animal shelter so he’s got lots of experience I guess. But anyway, he developed a bit of a reputation after that and now everyone calls him the Cat Whisperer.”
“You have a friend everyone calls the Cat Whisperer,” Louis says, “And you’ve neglected to tell me this until now.”
