Olivia Heist se preparó por un largo tiempo para la entrevista que tendría ese día. Todo pareció ir bien cuando entró hacia el sombrío y silencioso lugar. Subió por el ascensor y al llegar al piso donde su entrevista comenzaría, se halló con cierta cantidad de alfas y betas desconcertados por su presencia. Nadie dijo nada en lo que la bonita chica se sentaba a esperar a la secretaria.
─ Discúlpame, hola─ ella levantó la mirada, y todo su ser se sacudió. Era un alfa, era de lo único que estaba segura. Su aroma le atrajo y pudo notar que el hombre era diferente a cualquier otro allí. Sus ojos se perdieron en los de él unos minutos, el silencio no parecía incomodarlos, pero ella pronto entendió que debía moverse y ahí se encontró notando unas gotas rojas, muy rojas manchando su impecable corbata blanca.
El sonido de unos gritos interrumpió sus presentaciones, Alastor Maddox no pareció importarle el sonido de aterrador de un golpe en seco y la persona desangrándose en el suelo detrás de él a unos metros. Simplemente se encargó de empujar a la chica asustada hacia el elevador y bloquearlo por fuera.

Taeyang was nice to everyone. Except Anaya. They were like oil and water—constantly at odds, and he made sure she knew it. Anaya, however, was done with this one-sided rivalry. If he’s going to be difficult, she’ll meet him at his level.
