Zaeed wasn’t a fool. He put his glass down. His gaze was surprisingly alert for a guy who’d spent the last couple of hours drinking the night away. “Any particular reason you’re asking?”
“That’s not a no,” Shepard said, aiming for casual.
Zaeed’s gaze was steel. He looked Shepard up and down. “If you want to know if I’m gay, I’m not.”
“All right.” There had been no hostility in Zaeed’s words.
Zaeed held his gaze. “Doesn’t mean I don’t fuck guys every now and then.”
