Rumi looked to Mira for help. She found none.
“I was talking to Zoey, but uh. I can call you babe too, if you want.” she drawled. Rumi groaned and buried her head in her arms. Zoey’s laughs died down, her attention now intensely focused on Rumi’s form.
“I was gonna say I wanna call her honey ‘cos she’s so sweet, but maybe I should call her glowstick?”
Zoey and Mira make a discovery about Rumi. Things spiral from there.

She pushed her fingers down.
The rib shifted.
The thing about telling one very big lie is that it requires a foundation of hundreds of smaller lies to hold it up, lies such as "I'm fine," and "nothing's broken," and "it doesn't hurt."

Summary
“Rumi?” Mira questioned uncertainly. The demons had frozen as well, staring at Rumi as she stared back. The tense silence stretched. The hallway felt like the oxygen had been sucked out and the dim lighting cast shadows all around.
“Rumi, there’s no such thing as half demons. We would know. Celine would have told us. It has to be a trick….” Zoey said but it was clear she still had her own reservations.
And what could Rumi say to that? Celine had said she could find no records of any other half demons, not anywhere in the archive. How could hunters have never encountered a single half demon in the nearly 800 years since the honmoon was created? What were the chances they would meet them now, in this generation, when Rumi herself was one? It felt like a trap. It had to be a trap.
But…
“Rumi?”
“She’s bleeding.” She said softly. “Demons don’t bleed.”

Summary
After a night with way too much Soju, Zoey and Mira gave Rumi mating bites. The only problem, they aren't all dating, Zoey and Mira are but Rumi isn't. Rumi is confused, distraught, and hides what they did, thinking it will ruin them. The two don't seemingly remember, thus when a tear opens Rumi is distracted during the fight. Rumi is injured leading to the reveal of not only her patterns but her other demonic traits.
Rumi escapes badly wounded.
Before she does something rash, Rumi finds another Half-Demon. A teenager by the name of Maeve, who the Honmoon has already chosen to be a part of the next generation. How could the Honmoon think this was a good idea?

Ara and Yi-seo exchanged a look, ruminating on Jennie's idea with different levels of interest.
“And tell them what?” Ara prodded sceptically.

“The force isn’t really a… thing. It’s not nothing, but it’s not something. It’s everything.” She answered confusingly.
“That sounds… complicated.”
Rumi continued, to correct herself. “The force connects all living things. Everything in the universe… is a part of it. You can feel it. If you’re sensitive, like me.” Rumi added.
“So you can feel… everything, through the force?”
“Yes.”
“Without doing anything?” Mira asked.
“No, not really. I feel a connection to the force, the universe. But, it’s only when I reach out with intent, that I… feel things,” Eyes cast up and down Mira’s body on instinct. “Feel… people. With the force.” Rumi explained.
“So… if you reached out, with the force, you could feel me?” Mira asked innocently.
“I… yeah, I guess. Like- what-how do you mean? Like your mind? Your-your presence in the force? Or did you just want me to lift you in the air to reach something?” Rumi smiled.

Summary
(long title is paying homage to the inspiration for this fic, "The Guy She Was Interested In Wasn't A Guy At All")
The Idol Awards has damaged Huntr/x terribly, ruining the ease with which they’ve leaned on each other. Rumi, haunted by the memory of Mira and Zoey's expressions lit up by their weapons, dreads the possibility of being faced with them again once they come to their senses and realize all that's she ruined by existing.
In the wake of a recent discovery, Rumi does what she does best in order to avoid being crushed by those expressions again. She runs, pretending to be something she's not, if only to prolong the inevitable.
(or, Rumi pretends(?) to be a random normal guy working at a records store with varying levels of success, while her girls, Celine, and the world try to to hunt her down (lovingly).)

So that’s it, huh.
Mira does a better job at stifling her tears than Zoey, but she still feels a few warm drops run down her cheeks.
The hopes and dreams of being an idol at Sunlight Entertainment—hell, of being anything—are gone with a handwave from some guy in a suit and a paper that says “Thanks for auditioning”.
Before she can storm out as quickly as possible to save what little face she has left, Mira turns on her heel and freezes at the sight of Celine, the CEO of Sunlight Entertainment, watching her. That odd woman with the purple braid and mask floats behind her, eyes gleaming.
“Mira. Zoey.” Celine steps towards them. “Before you leave, I have an offer I’d like you to consider.”
Or: When Mira and Zoey, both running from difficult pasts, audition to become idols at Sunlight Entertainment (famous for its mysterious headliner idol Hunter) and fail, all hopes of meeting and training under Hunter go out the window until Celine makes them a different, surprise offer: train under Celine’s unknown ward Rumi instead.
(“Why us?” Zoey asks.
“Honestly,” Rumi says, “I think you're both really weird.”
