Summary
Louis took a while to wake up, post-events in Prince Lestat: Blood Communion.
Lestat waits and worries through the hours until he does, and David is there to help.
A lot of comforting and blood sharing ensues.SPOILERS for Blood Communion, obviously.
And I think I want to be extra careful and WARN that while Louis sleeps there is some cuddling and kissing on him.

All is going well at the end of the first official year of operations at the Court of Chateau de Lioncourt. Louis is passionate about supporting Lestat in his role as Prince of their people, Marius is cautiously excited about inviting Armand to visit for the holidays, Benedict has left Rhoshamandes for good, and Gregory is thrilled to be one of Lestat's closest advisors.
But when disaster strikes the Château following the lavish Christmas Eve ball, and their world is torn from them, the vampires of Court are left to navigate a state of existence they never thought they'd know again—mortality.

Summary
When Zenobia admits to celebrating the death of her Maker, Gregory is taken back and overwhelmed by his conflicting feelings in relation to Akasha. Unable to find rest with his little coven, he takes to speaking with Marius, whom he feels shares some similar emotions in relation to the original Queen of the Damned.
Along the way, he makes peace with the loss of Sevraine, and tries to remind vampires who were affected, directly and indirectly, by her whims, of how lucky they are that Akasha is no more.
A small character study for both Gregory and Marius!

Summary
Lestat revisits Louis’ suicide attempt and the arduous healing period that followed. In the retelling from his point of view, it becomes clear that David’s accounting of events minimized the damage, in an effort to conceal the grim truth -- and the lasting damage Louis and Lestat did each other.
In this confession and investigation, Lestat casts his lure out to draw his lover back to him, baited with pain and, for once, honesty.

Summary
When Lestat asks Louis to come join him at the new vampire court, Louis assumes he wants his support for expedient reasons rather than romantic ones. It takes Louis a surprisingly long time to notice he's in a real marriage and not one of politics or convenience.
