When Stan brings home his first straight ‘A’ report card, he almost looks embarrassed.
Ford watches as his brother fidgets awkwardly, sitting at the kitchen counter, picking a stray thread in the smokey-yellow tablecloth.
"I just….” He looks like he did when they were kids and he’d get caught in a lie; nervous and awkward and vaguely waiting for the other shoe to drop. “We’ve only got a year left of high-school, and… I guess i just realized that I wanted to make more of myself.”Stan tries to fix things, but breaks other things in the process. Go figure.

Summary
Gwaine knew Merlin meant well, so, Gwaine left him to his secrecy.
That didn’t mean he wasn’t curious, of course. That he didn’t watch Merlin closely when he favored one side over another or came in with a bandaged wrist and an absurd story of tripping over a barrel. Gwaine couldn’t deny that the desire for answers didn’t chew at his fingers every time they fell in together, tracing over bumps or patches of rough skin that felt uncomfortably similar to scar tissue; even if, as promised, he never looked to confirm it.
Gwaine tries to put it out of his mind as much as he reasonably can. But between the two of them, Merlin had always been the better liar.
And that’s exactly what worries him.
In which Gwaine makes a lot of discoveries, just in an odd order.

Summary
Now Stan feels it vital for any extra-dimensional beings listening in to know; he doesn’t always remember how long he’s lived. In fact, right now, most of the time, he’s just Stan: high school senior doing his fuckin' damndest. But sometimes, other things creep in through the edges. Like a boat slowly taking on water through a million infinitesimal broken seals in it’s underbelly. And it… collects.
Stan tries to fix his many, many mistakes. Ford wants to know what the hell is going on with his brother, and Fiddleford is just along for the ride.

“Rocky saw.”
His mind races. The what, the ship cams? Did they record Stratt’s men dumping him comatose and still and scared in the ship, did they talk about what they’d done to him? No, that would make sense. Besides, the Hail Mary was in orbit around Erid, not impossible to get to, but not worth it for a nose around. Or – maybe he’d said something in his sleep, and Rocky was only just talking to him about it. That also makes no sense. Or maybe –
“You… saw.”
“Eridians see dream-memories sometimes.”
“That literally makes no sense,” blurts Ryland, and Rocky stamps his feet. The way he’d done back on the ship when something was painfully obvious and Ryland failed to get it. “Sorry. You’re gonna have to explain.”
“Eridians are linked to all Eridians. Erid is like – word need word – database. Database for all Eridians thought memories events. When Eridians sleep, they see other Eridian memories. Didn’t happen on ship because no tie to Erid. Didn’t happen on Mary because no tie to Erid. Rocky saw Grace's memories.”

Or: Rocky finds out Grace was forced onto the Hail Mary without his consent, but not really in the way you'd expect.
