Summary
Park Seonghwa is a paramedic in the less privileged part of the city. He takes his job very seriously, and he spends most of his time alone. When an ambulance call leads him to a wounded gang leader, he treats the man with kindness and gentle hands despite his reputation. Against his better judgment, he finds himself continually entangled with the gang, and its leader most of all.

“What?” Jeongin prompts, leaning with his palm against the bar counter. “I said Minho hyung’s name, and your face got all red. Do you guys know each other?” he asks, and then— “I got a sense that was the case earlier in the firehouse. He’s not usually so relaxed around new people.”
But Jisung’s mind is stuck on one thing. “My face got all red?” he asks, subconsciously bringing a hand up to his cheek to feel the warmth of his own skin. He does feel a little hot under the collar all of a sudden, but in that moment, he chooses to blame it all on alcohol. Even though all he’s had is maybe three sips of beer.
“It did.” Jeongin grins. “So, what’s the story?”
(For a firefighter with years of experience under his belt, Jisung should probably know just how easy it is to rekindle old flames. Alas.)

He'd propositioned with the most even face anyone ever had when suggesting something like this. "Purely platonic. We'd hold hands, maybe the occasional kiss on the cheek. I'm not big on shows of affection, so no one will think that weird. I'm not opposed to being affectionately bullied, I know you prefer that."
