One often pictures hope as a gift bestowed upon us— almost divine, like a strength that keeps us pressing on in a corrupted world.
Yet as an angel descends from the Heavens and hands you the coveted treasure, the waning flicker of its lambent glow only seems to accentuate the darkness still surrounding you.

“No apologies,” the white haired man sat up, his legs hanging over the edge of his shared bed (his toenails were painted a pretty purple, Collei and Tighnari had done it earlier that evening), “did you have a bad dream?”
She nodded.
(Collei has a bad dream, and it leads to some late night snuggles and a deeper conversation between Cyno and Tighnari.)

“You’re crying, honey,” Tighnari says quietly, breaking Collei from her thoughts with a gentle hand on her face, wiping away the tears that pour from her eyes.
Collei sniffs. Involuntarily, she leans into his touch. “Am I selfish, Baba?” The name slips out before she can stop it, but Collei makes no effort to backtrack.
Tighnari’s gaze softens to something melancholy, and the emotion that fills it is so intense that Collei has to tear her eyes away before she begins to sob.

Taking this as the ultimate betrayal, Rumi goes to Jinu and decides to accept her demonic nature, joining to the Saja Boys to bring an end to both Gwi-Ma and the hunters forever. Both hunters and the demon king will have to join forces to bring everything back to normal. Will they make it?
