Summary
Modern AU. Having struggled to meet people in more conventional ways, a slightly dodgy reality show brings Patsy and Delia together on New Year’s Eve for their first date. Complete with camera crew, an infuriatingly obnoxious show runner and a nation watching on. What they’d previously thought were problematic personal issues (like OCD, childhood trauma and the after effects of a bicycle accident) turn out to be the things that make these two nurses click.
This first chapter is in joint collaboration with the holiday meet-cute series. The rest is still cute, just not meet-cute.

Summary
The pupcake fandom on Ao3 has always been a lovely and supportive community, and in these days when many of us are necessarily limiting our real life socializing, that community has become even more vital. So a few of us have banded together to bring you a patchwork of (very) loosely interconnected stories, based on the surrealist drawing/writing game known as exquisite corpse.
Each author is given just the final sentence from the previous story in the series and from that alone, they construct their own short fic. The stories can be canon era, AU, genre fiction, fluff, angst, smut - whatever the prompt might inspire! Then they pass on their own final sentence and the game continues. There is no set order, and anyone can claim a prompt that strikes their fancy.

“I’m sorry, I think you’ve got the wrong number,” the woman cut her off.
Vi felt her face go so hot she was sure that it was visibly steaming in the winter air. Of course it was a fucking wrong number - just the cherry on top of an already shit morning. She struggled to conjure up some sort of apology. Instead, what came out was, “Oh. Well, thank god, because I was feeling really bad about yelling at someone who sounds so sexy.”
As soon as the words left her mouth she wished she had a spare hand to cram them back inside. She was considering just abruptly hanging up when a breathy chuckle filtered across the line.
“Awfully bold for someone who’s ranting about cement to a stranger at eight o’clock in the morning.”

Summary
They stay that way for a long time, Catra’s face tucked into Adora’s shoulder, Adora gently cradling Catra’s head. Adora is careful not to hug Catra too hard or make her feel restrained, anticipating the moment that Catra will start to pull away — but Catra doesn’t. She hangs on so tightly it hurts, her claws digging through Adora’s jacket and into her back, latching into her like she did when she was a kitten and didn’t know how much her claws could hurt. Adora tries not to wince, tries not to move a single muscle, worried that if she does the spell will break and Catra will struggle away, appalled at having shown weakness.
But Catra doesn’t let go. And so neither does Adora.
