The book he was currently holding had multiple sticky notes sticking out, which were quick scribbles he made when he found something that would possibly portray his feelings towards the florist.
He knew that this couldn’t just be for the aesthetics; the petals themselves could hold meanings. In the past hour alone, he learnt about how even the colour of the same kind of flower can change the meaning completely, and he was taking extra care to categorize them right.
He was giving flowers to a florist after all.

The rain had started up again. Fat droplets drummed over her hood, drenching the fabric. Her horse’s reins were wet and cold; though her fingers, numbed from continued exposure to the elements, could hardly feel them.
Following the sound of the explosion, they’d arrived at a clearing. It was a mess of blackened, shattered wood, and the wagon, a skeleton, was little more than a smoking husk. Beyond the wreckage, a titan lay prostrate. Felled, its limp, hulking form was barely visible through the rain.
As soldiers shouted, pointing at the creature, one of the horses still tethered to the ruined wagon, writhed. When the beast screamed a broken, panicked wail, her own horse shifted, flanks twitching with unease.
Hanji barely noticed.
The soldiers' voices, the poor beast’s screams, even the heavy, even thrum of rain - had silenced as she looked to the river.
A body lay at the edge of the dark, white-capped water.

Levi opens his eyes, finding Hange on the floor, blinking up at him with shock. I pushed her, he realises a second later, very roughly.
His blood has smudged over her sleeve, and she’s giving him a look he can’t be sure of but it seems angry. Rapid heartbeat is roaring in his ears, the back of his eyes hurt and the only thing Levi can manage, in a voice full of venom is, “I told you to shut the fuck up!”
