How am I going to play this? I could fall back on old habits. I could sneer. I could insult him. That always worked when we were in school, but now I fear he’d see right through it. The act only worked then because it wasn’t an act. Not at first, anyway. I did, at one point, actually hate him, and he never had any reason to believe that had changed.
Now, though. Now he knows that was all fake, that I was just overcompensating to hide my true feelings. Now it’d only be a sign to him that I’m hiding something. That I still care. That I’m still hopelessly, tragically in love.
I can’t let him know that. Not after I broke up with him.Or: Two-odd years after the events of Carry On, Simon and Baz have broken up and gone no-contact. A chance encounter unearths old feelings.

Early in Simon and Baz's relationship, they kiss. The first time Baz's mouth gets anywhere near Simon's neck, Simon tenses up--and Baz, of course, is immediately five feet away before Simon can even apologize.
And Baz, being Baz, is still very convinced this whole thing is going to end in flames. Simon, meanwhile, tries to convince him it's a little bit hot.

Summary
Sapnap’s childhood best friend, Clay, has always been a little bit mysterious and secretive about what he does in his spare time. It’s never really bothered Sapnap before, but the older they get, the more Clay seems to be hiding from him.
Not to mention the odd way he always reacts whenever Sapnap brings up his favourite streamer and celebrity crush, Dream.
Sapnap’s starting to think that Clay might be hiding something big, and he really wants to know what it is.

Summary
Sapnap was so done with his own thoughts.
It had started just after he had moved in with Dream, catching himself staring at the man, or thinking about kissing him late at night. Instead of addressing those small thoughts and feelings, he repressed them deep down and hoped they would dissapate.
Long story short- they did not.
