    The last thing she expected was Mr. Farouk of all people to walk by and see her sobbing.

    For some reason, that makes Tara laugh. “We should stop bickering and … we should … actually we should make out, or something, instead, it’d be a better use of the time.”

    Tara Jones and Darcy Olsson have been best friends since Year 7. Darcy definitely doesn’t have a count of Tara’s kisses. Best friend kisses don’t count.

    Darcy doesn’t know why Tara is being weird. As if she, suddenly, out of absolutely nowhere, has a problem with Darcy. Locked in the practice room, Darcy has to start a new count of a different kind of kisses.
