He got jack low and to the ground and pulled him in close. He’d learnt that the first time that he’d found jack like this. He needs to be grounded, safe, loved and held. ‘You’re safe’ he murmured, rubbing circles around jacks softly clothed back. ‘You’re safe’ he repeated. Over and over again, as his husband sobbed into his jacket, the tears seeping though to Robby’s own scrubs, soaking his skin. He didn’t care, he never would.

That meant not only being awake during the day but also being on, prepared to network, interact, and provide insight without having his hand in someone’s chest cavity. ---He was honored to be asked, but it was a bigger ask than he had been anticipating.

His right hand got caught between the wheel and the cockpit, and his left hand jerked upward so fast that his wrist bent at a sickening angle.
