“And you’re saying you know me?” Sirius drawls, leaning back in his chair. “You’re the only one?”
The half-arsed derision in his tone doesn’t seem to surprise or intimidate Remus. He only smiles, knowing.
It is one thing to love a person; it is quite another to see them as they truly are and to love them all the same. And sometimes, Sirius thinks, he’d rather die than let anybody see beneath the defensive facade of his brave face.
From 1971 to 1978, the Hogwarts years of obsession, betrayal, recklessness, lies, too much drink, insecurity, and all eclipsing sexual frustration. Seven years of Sirius Black’s insufferable god-complex, of Remus Lupin’s most private shames, of secret relationships, awkward hookups, James Potter’s blunt advice, and more yearning than sense. Seven years for Sirius to finally admit to himself that what he wants is not only to be loved, but to be known entirely. And therein lies the difficulty.

Something like a love story from the summer of 1978, full of Southern Cuts and Old Style, shitty motel rooms, and questionable decisions. Poor excuse for poetry and late night dancing, a trip to Vegas, and one too many honeymoon suites.

Remus is living a good life, he is. He just has to block his mind from lusting over his best, very straight, mate and it's bloody brilliant. But of course, when Sirius' behaviour starts to shift and comes onto him one night, "just to help each other out", Remus can't deny him. He should, this is a very very bad idea, but Remus is only human, and very in love with him.

They aren't in some sweeping, beautiful romance across the country. They haven't discovered they're only a town away. All he has to show for finally connecting is a nonsensical nickname and a lot of sad poetry too late at night.

“It’s the same as mine.”Sirius and Remus decide to take it slow after finding out they are soulmates at 15, so as not to muck everything up with their teenage hormone-addled brains before they even finish school. It’s admirable, really, the amount of restraint they have. Enter heartbreak, espionage, and so, so much yearning.

After months of dancing around a drunk confession, Will finally gets a weight off his chest - leading to a night of tension-filled games.
“What about– cause, I mean, I know that you haven’t– um, you know, with the past few…”
Will’s jaw slammed shut - deciding that shutting the fuck up was the better idea. His skin flushed red, heat rising above the collar of his shirt, and his eyes darted around in desperate search of anyone. At the opposite end of the hall, Lucas spoke to Max with matching dopey grins. Though, both of them were too distracted by each other to notice Will’s discomfort.
His attention re-met Mike as he was about to spurt out some lame excuse why he needed to leave immediately: only for his mouth to remain shut at the sight of a small smile pulling Mike’s lips. The muscles in Will’s stiff body relaxed a degree.

Appointed to drink and test their horrific concoction, he manages to give the entire house a crush on him - except, bizarrely, for Sirius, on who the potion seems to have no discernible effect.

Lily might be stuck playing the lead role in a musical alongside the man who is single-handedly ruining her life.
Remus might be writing a musical about how he's in love with his best friend.
Once out of secondary school, the Marauders decided they wanted to make a full-fledged musical before graduating. Lily ends up swept up in it as choreographer and lead role where she has to act alongside James, whom she has a long-standing grudge against. Remus is writing the musical and working with Sirius to make each song, as he gets closer and closer to the end product, he struggles more and more to understand his partner.
