Summary
There's 1 in 70,000 people on the planet who have the gene needed to survive the Hail Mary's expedition. In that limited pool, 1 in maybe 1000 had the necessary skills needed for the mission — more dire still, even less people were willing to volunteer for what is essentially a suicide mission.
When an explosion killed not only their science officers but also their engineers, Eva Stratt makes the tough decision to put 2 people on the spacecraft that no one was expecting to be even be candidates.
One is a middle-school science teacher.
One is a convicted eco terrorist.

“Big news! Statement.” Rocky chimes brightly.
“Okaaaay. Lay it on me.”
“Two things. First thing.” Rocky begins, holding one arm up, “Eridian crew return safe and sound from mission!”
“That’s great!” He nods.
Rocky holds up a second arm.
“Second thing: Eridian crew find strange moon. No landmasses. Consisted entirely of an ocean of blood.”
“That is...decidedly not great."

Ever since Simon was brought to Erid, he and Grace can never find themselves on the same page and they do not get along. But Grace is determined to befriend him. Can they learn to live together under the same roof?
I feel guilty having written this because it is so completely self-indulgent and probably inaccurate. It was supposed to be shorter and wayyyy more angsty, but it quickly devolved into a bunch of cheesy, cliche moments with some eventual smut. I’ve literally never written a fanfiction before, so there’s not much of a plot besides these two space dudes falling in love.
If that sounds like your cup of tea, then I hope you enjoy!!

Grace is rather pissed with the concept of an impossible. It’s not really professional of him but his same-species colleagues are light years away from here to criticize such responses, so. Grace is pissed.

One second Ryland sat beside the fire, breathing crying beneath the stars. The next Simon shoved into him hard enough that both of them crashed backward into the sand. Ryland made a startled sound as the blanket twisted beneath them. Sand scattered. The firelight jumped gold across Ryland’s shocked face.
Simon didn’t know what he was doing.
He had never done this before.
Not really. Simon just suddenly could not survive the distance between them anymore.
So he closed it.
And kissed him.
Hard.If you are scrolling late at night with your morals in one hand and your phone in the other and you just want to get to the smut, start at Chapter 11.
Sneak Peek: “The metal thumb of the prosthetic pressed lightly against Ryland’s mouth. Ryland opened for him immediately.”

Simon knew better than to trust the intentions of the man who saved him. Everyone wanted something. Even Ryland Grace, who had a ship full of everything a man could need. The only thing the scientist lacked was human company.
Which meant that Grace wanted something only another person could give.

Grace was a chemistry guy: his world was provable and predictable. Every quantum physicist that Grace knew had a wild-eyed, pulling-my-hair-out kind of energy, so it felt like a very bad sign that the most grounded explanation for Simon's presence here might be "wormholes."
Grace knocked his glasses off his nose to scrub his eyes, leaving them dangling from one ear. Talking to Simon had given him more questions than answers. What else could he observe about the man? What were the objective facts?
He picked up his marker and wrote:
-Handsome
Really, Grace?

Simon didn’t expect his savior to be exactly his type.
What a welcome sight. Even if this stupidly handsome man ends up being evil, or working for the C.O.I, at least he’d die looking at something good.

When Stiles returns home to help his father recover from an injury, he discovers that things have changed somewhat in his absence: Derek is working closely with Stiles' father, around the house and underfoot, generally annoying and disconcerting Stiles with his presence.
Well, Stiles isn't sure you could call all the sex they end up having annoying, but he isn't really willing to call it anything else, either.

"Holy crap! Why the hell did you lie to incredibly powerful magical beings with trust issues? How was that Plan A?"
Derek says, "We're not arguing about this, it's already done."
"Like hell we're not fighting about this," Stiles says, indignant. "What were you thinking?"
"I was thinking it was worth the risk if it kept you alive! And it worked, so drop it."
"You had no idea that it was going to work!" Stiles throws his hands up. Why is Derek the most frustrating werewolf in the history of ever, why is Stiles even helping him, why is this his life? "Why did they even believe you in the first place?"
Derek says, "You reeked of me," which is unfair. Stiles only smelled because he'd gotten covered in Derek's bodily fluids trying to staunch the bleeding.

Summary
Jim wrote a romance novel just to prove he could. Then someone leaked it on the public Starfleet server, and suddenly his embarrassingly smutty and sentimental Human/Vulcan love story is all over campus. Luckily for Jim, no one knows that he’s the author. Unluckily for Jim, someone forwarded the novel to the staff of the Vulcan embassy. Now, every Vulcan in San Francisco is reassessing the logical merits of taking Human bondmates.
Spock reads a Human/Vulcan romance novel because he can hardly avoid it. Suddenly, he is consumed by the need to locate the author, ascertain their wellbeing, and instruct them in the way of Vulcan mating bonds. Luckily for Spock, it doesn't take long to identify the author as Jim Kirk. Unluckily for Spock, Jim is unconscious and surrounded by interested Vulcans who also read the book.
