Summary
Despite this, there are cracks at times—invisible to the naked eye. A sharper edge to his usually detached voice, sometimes laced with dry sarcasm. A slight narrowing of his eye. An eyebrow raised. Such signs of annoyance and irritation are carefully noted and catalogued in Subspace’s mind—who, after years of feeding off Medkit’s sour mood, is too well-versed in. He can detect Medkit’s frustration like second nature.
But being soft, guard down—even just scarcely—especially with and around Subspace, never fits Medkit. Especially now.

Medkit dared to hope that maybe, just maybe, he had finally outran the past that threatened to haunt him forever. That is, until he received a letter with a Korbloxian seal.
They had found him, he was apparently needed, and he is not being given a choice. Successfully recover Subspace T. Mine from his erratic state of illness and receive a full pardon of all criminal charges.
If that was really all it entailed, despite the dread at the thought, maybe Medkit could endure a final trip to Blackrock.

Medkit agreed on joining Sword and Rocket, going to THE party of the year,the Event Party, which takes place after the themes of the event got revealed and after the event of this summer finally came up.
Loosing them in the crowd, while also a tad bit drunk, he gets overwhelmed by the loud and crowded partyroom.
Somewhere else on the party, Subspace is also having a bad time, also a bit drunk and also overwhelmed by the loud and crowded partyroom.
Going outside into an alley behind the location in which the party takes place inside, Medkit calms down but his thoughts are stuck thinking about "someone"./> He would rather forget about him entirely.
Life likes to see him pissed off though, so it lets him meet this exact person in that alleyway.
Or: They are dumb, miss each other and are slightly tipsy so they argue but end up kissing, Medkit revealing some feelings he tried to hide

Summary
The Hadal Blacksite operates in tandem with a writhing ecosystem that only expands with every wave of clueless expendables sent to their doom. It thrives off the push and pull of its own rapid decay, and the absurdities that come with it.
The facility houses a food chain which leaves the expendables at rock-bottom. Even the parasites infesting the dark waters hold more leverage than the criminals who throw themselves at death's door.
Yet, there remains an unknown variable: a shopkeeper who holds the power to make or break any expendable's attempt at getting the crystal. A saboteur who uses the enemy's methods for his own.
It starts with a discount, and ends with a sawed-off double barrel shotgun pointed at your skull.
…at least, you thought it ended there. For now, Sebastian seems pretty interested in keeping you around.
