Summary
Henry doesn't want to admit it, not even to himself, but he's terrified of thunder and lightning. He knows it's stupid and irrational - lightning can't get him in the shed, and thunder is nothing but a sound - but he just can't help it. He hates it, not just because the terror it puts him through but the shame he endures as an engine scared of something so harmless.
One stormy night in Tidmouth, when the thunder and lightning prove too much to handle, he's comforted by the last engine he'd expect. Or perhaps, it isn't so unexpected after all.

Murdoch had taken a rest near a snowy field, but after he left, every engine he met suddenly seemed to come down with a case of the giggles. Murdoch can't understand why, and his irritation grows with each bark of laughter. Can he figure out what's gotten into everyone?
