“It’s something else. I’ve been mad at myself.” He admitted, letting out a little defeated sigh. He was aware of how frustratingly vague he must’ve sounded, but his words were the last wall he had between Jedidiah and the contents of his raw, sluggishly beating heart.
“...Why?” He queried, furrowing his eyebrows.
Sydney chewed his bottom lip. “I’ve been–hm, well–I wouldn’t quite call it keeping a secret. I just haven’t found a good moment to bring it up.” He found himself abruptly letting the words begin to tumble from his lips quicker than he’d expected.“It’s about Elijah.” Jedidiah flinched when he spoke his real name, the one hidden underneath the man’s overly theatric facade.
Or, somethings been off about Sydney since his last run-in with The Elephant Man, and Jedidiah’s noticed. Sydney gets something off his chest that’s been bothering him.
