“Blitz,” Stolas whispered back through his gritted beak, “the lingering pain is not a problem, it is a perk. Didn’t you say that other men do this kind of thing regularly?”
“Well yes, but–”
“But nothing. Would you fret over their comfort afterwards like you are with me?”
“Of course not, but they weren’t dukes.”
“But they were noblemen, yes? Why do you think I’m so much more delicate than them?” Stolas asked, then lowered his voice an octave, “Besides, you’ve seen what I can handle now.”
