Summary
Rolan could recall, with complete clarity, the first time someone touched the dark red handprint on his chest.
He didn’t need to look down to know it wasn’t a match. How many times had he pressed his own hand against his chest, trying to make his long, clawed fingers fit the much smaller handprint, so that he could burn the feeling into memory?
Or, AKA, "Rolan has a soulmate"

Summary
Gale was an eruption of movement before she could even finish, flinging the tome at her, the only thing saving her head from colliding with its thick spine was her quick reflexes.
“Don’t,” he spat. The veins of lightning on his forehead pulsed, the orb tattoo on his chest seething with a purple light. “Don’t you dare speak of her as if you know her wishes.” His hateful expression crumbled, revealing something hurting underneath. “You think I want this?” He swung his arms wide, to the state of his room. “You think I want any of this? I wanted her. I wanted a life together with her. We planned for a life together. I had bought books for her, to carry back to Waterdeep. I took her to the market one day, and she picked out curtains for us.” His voice wavered and he paused, sucking in a breath between his teeth. “I wanted her. That was all I wanted. But...apparently that was no simple request.”
“So what’s the plan here?” Shadowheart asked. She kept a wary eye out for any more flying tomes and gentled her tone. “Become a god and then, what? Bring her back?”
She waited for him to laugh at the ridiculous notion.
He didn’t, he only met her stare with his own.

Summary
It was not uncommon for Gale to experience the tinge of jealousy at the hands of the woman that had become his obsession — he had become used to admiring her at a friendly distance, the spare moments in which he dared to flirt playfully special but fruitless. And he didn't need them to be fruitful, he didn’t need to risk everything again for a woman.
Not even for the most unique one he would ever meet.
After all, he had little time left in the realm.Except, after successfully rescuing the tieflings from the Grove from their lackluster fate at Moonrise Towers, the apprentice wizard starts to become a tad too thankful to her.
He just wished it was him Sissia looked at like a midnight snack because his drunk self had far too much imagination on what he would love to do to her.
Little did he suspect he'd have the opportunity to act upon his perverse ideas the moment he tried getting rid of them. -
