One horse.

“ We will be riding hard for the next few hours, we need to get…,” He paused, waiting for his mate to deign a glance, “organised.” He finished with a sigh before hopping off the chestnut stallion. Elain kept her eyes trained on that maple tree ahead, focused on the beading rain, she kept her eyes there as Lucien manoeuvred their bags, securing them. He walked around their mount, Chestnut, as he ran his large golden hands down its flanks. His shoulder brushed passed her thigh as he walked around to the front of the horse leaving a searing blaze of heat in its wake.
