Paddy's Pub is the hottest gay bar in Philadelphia. Everyone is on board for it except Mac, who suspects something sinister is brewing beneath the influx of cash and attention. “Mac,” he hears, and looks down at Dennis’ tiny smile. “You’re still here.”
I’m going, Mac wants to say. I’m gonna go. Most importantly, Mac actually does want to go, let Dennis sleep this imminent hangover off and go back to the bar to play darts with Charlie. Mac wants to forget he was ever here even, wants Dennis to just turn around and stop studying him like this, as if he can see him in the dark.
Mac doesn’t know what he wants, in the end. He knows what he should want, and he can try and say that it’s what he wants, but it’s not. Mac doesn’t want to go, and that’s scary, confusing.
or, mac's mission is to dump a drunk dennis home, but as always, nothing goes to plan

"You're a pretty boy, aren't you?" The large one croons, grabbing Dennis' jaw.
He nods. "I'ma pretty- good boy, yeah."Mac's chest tightens. It didn't seem right. Dennis there with his eyes closed, slurring his words. He can't leave his friend alone like this. Besides, after giving those two dudes an ocular pat down he's decided they can't be trusted.
"Woah, woah." Mac says, walking towards them.
Mac realizes he doesn't have the heart to leave Dennis blackout drunk with two strangers. He takes him home instead.
