In 1967, a man went into a swamp in New Orleans and made a deal.
In 1977, Vox Tonite has been one of the highest rated late-night talk shows for years, its host coming out of the woodwork to instant fame. Now after ten years on the air, a bill is finally coming due- one Vox sees fit to ignore with what he believes will be a spectacular Halloween show to launch him into the status of a legend
The end result is sure to be one hell of an hour of live television.

But then why? Why is he now breaking down in a bathroom during one of Caine's stupid award shows? Why does he so desperately NOT want to be the problem (even though he doesn't know how to be anything else, even though his whole character now is built on being the problem.) Why does he wish he could just not be real?

Elias Bouchard is strange in the same way that his archive is, perpetually placid and so upper management that he seems almost like a caricature. It would be bearable - Martin has dealt with far less personable personalities - if it weren’t for his business partners.
