Summary
A rewriting of the story of Veilguard helping Rook and Taash find themselves and giving them and the story some of the depth they deserve. There will be some divergence in how events play out in the main story, but nothing that changes the main story as a whole.
I am but a humble fan who wants to see more than what we were given, so I will over invest myself.
Will contain spoilers as some chapters will be named directly after their quests in-game.

She snorts a surprised laugh, causing Taash’s eyebrows to shoot up.
“Why the heck are you wearing makeup?”
Rook swears she sees the qunari’s pupils reduce to slits before an inhuman, draconic growl emits from her throat.
“Fuck you.”
Rook hears Harding’s disappointed sigh and Bellara’s sharp inhale as Taash palms her face, lifting her head slightly before smashing it back against the stone, turning her whole world black.
(Starts after "Act 1" a few days after the double whammy dragon attacks)

Summary
Calliope, a violently depraved drow warlock, rises from the nautiloid crash with no recollection of her past. Demented and aching for slaughter post-wake, she seeks aid, but she seems to find only more chaos - the one thing she knows best. With wilted sanity and a strong enmity against all of her selves, Calliope must piece together her old identity while accepting her new one, all the while solving the problems of Gods' and Goddesses among her companions. With all of that in mind, apart from the tadpole and the variety of entities that haunt her, Karlach remains the most beautifully taunting one, driving her past the brink of madness where she's compelled to make unforgivable choices.
- This fic is intended to be really intense, full of smut, and, in multiple ways, heart-shattering - but as the tag says, there will be an *eventual* happy ending. :)
- Written in first and second POVs with narrative switches (currently only Calliope and Karlach, considering others down the line.)
