Summary
Blue was his favourite colour, blue brought him comfort. But just looking at blue things wasn’t enough to make him feel any more content of being there, of doing things, of being him. Because his walls were blue, his clothes were too. If he paid attention, he could find blue all around him. Yet nothing was changing.
He took a deep breath, tried to move. Sometimes he felt like he was blue, too.
A hesitant knock caught his attention, simply mumbling a quiet 'come in' and waiting for his door to open. Wavy hair filled his vision, shiny eyes looking into his tired ones.
Caleb. The new guy.
“Sorry, I didn't know you were asleep,” the boy instantly let out. "I just... Wanted to ask you what you wanted for breakfast?”
“What?” He questioned, sitting up slowly. “Why?"
“Didn’t your dad tell you?” Aidan wanted to roll his eyes. Obviously, he didn’t, or else he wouldn’t be asking. "I'm gonna cook for you from now on."

OR,Aidan is struggling, Caleb gets hired to cook for him. In an otherwise predictible world, the change of routine forces him to confront his perceptions, using colors and concepts to explain the world around him as he tries to figure life out.
