This is Toriel's first Mother's Day on the surface. Monsters have been on the surface for almost a year now, while Frisk, Asgore, and Toriel have all been very busy working with (and sometimes around) the human governments to make life better for all of monsterkind. Meanwhile, their friends started new lives on the surface near the town at the base of Mt. Ebott.
