Star Trek Modern Novelverse Fanfic
There's plenty of analysis, review, and even Treknology fandom around the modern Litverse, but sadly little fan content that I've found, especially as compared to the wider Trek fandom. This collection will gather up anything that could be considered Treklit Fic!
Specifically, this collection is for any Star Trek-only fic that is set not just in the onscreen Trek universe, but in the wider Trek EU canon as originally established by the DS9 Relaunch. (It unfortunately doesn't include fic set purely in the 80s Novelverse, though anything that bridges the gap would be up for inclusion!)

Summary
When the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine TV series ended in 1999 after 7 seasons, Pocket Books continued the story in a series of licensed tie-in novels, beginning with 2001's Avatar, by SD Perry. These books captured the essence of the TV series so perfectly that many fans considered them to be 'Season 8' of the show.
As an aspiring writer, I decided to take those novels and adapt them into screenplays, as if they were indeed more episodes of the TV show. Thus were created my DS9 Season 8 and DS9 Season 9 projects (26 eps covering the novels Avatar to Unity, and 24 eps covering Unjoined to The Soul Key, respectively).
In 2009, however, the DS9 novel line went on hiatus due to editorial upheaval at Pocket Books. This happened just as a major storyline, hinted and prepared for across multiple novels, was just about to begin in earnest.
Although the novels did return in time, several years had passed in-story in the meantime, and the aforementioned major storyline had been and gone. At the time, the editors and authors seemed to have no intention of explaining what had happened.
So I decided to answer that question for them.

Bookmarker's Notes
This fanfic is an amazing expansion on the reference in Fearful Symmetry's prologue to an assimilated Benjamin Sisko serving as Emissary in his universe. It's a great portrayal of an AU where the Borg have gone on the attack in local space not in the vicious, vengeful Destiny style, but more akin to their usual tactics, and all those included in the fic are portrayed excellently. It's unfortunately unfinished, but what is there I love.
Also, the author does appear to be on AO3, they just haven't uploaded this (or other Trek) fic to their account here. Check them out! https://archiveofourown.org/users/mabus101/profile

Criminally few New Frontier works on the internet!! Here is a little rendition of what might have happened in those 5 minutes before the Excalibur blew up between Dark Allies and Requiem. I made an effort to include all details Shelby dropped in Restoration, if there are notes on this in later books then I don't know about them because I have not read any further yet.
