Jax (now Jade) decides to resist the urge to push others away, and things go very differently. When Pomni arrives in the circus, Jade and Ribbit both get to know her, and feelings get caught all aound. Amazing Digital lesbian sex ensues.
This fic is almost entirely inspired by this post by Gooseworx on bluesky, I love this ship a lot and the three of them deserve the best (at least in an alt universe where Jade chooses to not be a jerk)

Spoilers for the finale, obviously. Read at your own risk.
After everything that happened life at the Digital Circus is... better. Of course with one big exception: the abstracted state of their friends. Luckily after trying hard to figure out a way, a bug fix is developed to uncorrupt the data and bring their friends back from abstraction.
From Pomni's urging Jax is the first one brought back to and given a task. Help them bring the others back from abstraction and make up for the mistakes they mad. It's Jax's shot at last redemption. And maybe, just maybe Jax is done running and ready to face who they are and what they did.

Jax is simply a barista to people- nothing more, nothing less. He doesn't make a point to get to know customers. The concept of being known to these people is unnerving to him.
Pomni is an aspiring writer, working on her first novel. She loves sweet cream cold brew. And he always spells her name wrong.
