Chapter Text
Rin wasn't a very clean person. He certainly wasn't as bad as Nagi (as he heard endlessly from Barou) but it wasn't something that mattered. He never made it a habit to clean up after himself, there was a maid, hired by his parents, who would visit once a week and clean everything in the house . After all it was mostly him at home, after niichan sae left.
Barou on the other hand was very particular about his stuff, Rin noticed. Putting them together in one room was devious of Ego. Perhaps he enjoyed the drama that seemed to occur whenever those two interacted, Rin mused to himself.
The main reason for the thought process behind this was the fact that only the two of them were in the room.
Rin isn't someone who would share a room. Preferring to do his routine in private away from prying eyes. However all the other rooms had been taken and Barou has been in this room first.
He did not have enough energy to argue with him today he barely had enough energy to breathe .
Setting down his mat and bottle he let his eyes wander to the other person with him to find him polishing his boots. Ignoring the lukewarm player ,he ignored me first ,he started his routine.
Midway through he realized the silence and glanced at Barou to find him staring back at him with one eye twitching.
"What do you want?", relaxing from his previous pose and easing into the next one.
Instead of responding Barou started grinding his teeth together and that's when Rin noticed he seemed to be staring at a specific point.
Glancing down at his mat he spotted what seemed to be disturbing the man.
A stain.
A stain from where he had practiced yoga with freshly applied skin care.
"It won't go, so there's no use in staring holes at it."
"Give me that shit I'll make it go" ,Rin startled as Barou suddenly began stomping his way forward until he was standing directly in front of him.
"Huh?"
"I said Give. It. To. Me"
What the fuck. Was this normal with this guy? Asking for other people's belongings to wash them?
" You have to mix 3 parts of warm water, a mild dish soap or essential oil, a squeeze of lemon juice, damp the cloth with it and dab the spot with it"
Rin just blankly stared at him as Barou went on and on about cleaning stains and using various removers for better results and still managing to use insults within it. His hand twitching as it seemed he wanted to drag the mat from under Rin.
"Oi aren't you number 1? Forget that, you seem like you've been doing this shit for a long time. Shouldn't you know how to remove stains then?"
"I throw them out"
Now it was Barou's turn to stare at Rin.
"..."
"..."
"YOU HUH?!?!?"
It wasn't a lie. He never really bothered with cleaning yoga mats. Sweat was bound to stain his mats, (and the few times he got other stains on them he couldn’t stand to look at them) the sweat resistant ones always made the surface slippery and Rin HATED that. So he simply got rid of them on rotation. His parents leave him enough money anyway.
Shaking away any thoughts about his parents he stared at Barou who went on and on about how spoiled he was. Seeing him cuss out others wasn't new, however this time seeing caused him to be somewhat emotional. then suddenly,
"Teach me"
"What?"
"I'm number 1 so teach me"
"Teach you how to remove stains....?"
"Yes." He wasn't gonna be here in a few years, at the very least he could not waste his parents money
Barou stared at him face full with disbelief. He did not want to interact with this brat. ...Though it was bound to happen with how much he reminded barou of his own little sisters. They were in a phase where they seemed to hate everything and everyone. Of course they were still his cute little sisters so it was easily forgiven. He suspected Rin's issue wasn't simply a phase but something deeper which made him hesitant to interact with the kid, given his personality.
"Hmph! Come meet me in my room all my supplies are there"
"I need to finish my routine"
"After that you brat!"
Rin nodded and headed back into his routine.
