Call me anything, Call me yours

Summary:

JudeLow is bad at feelings. The only thing he knows is to trap others and to make traps. He wasn't like other people on Strength, he was always quiet and never had teammates. That was until one specific person fell into one of his most obvious traps yet.

Notes:

This is like my first time writing ever so lowkey ts might be corny. Also to apologise in advance, english isn't my first language, so sorry if there's any mistakes with the grammar and that bs. This is probably also really ooc ummm. Anyway, I have been writing this for like a month now and didn't expect for it to be this long..

Work Text:

JudeLow never liked communicating. He liked keeping quiet and alone so nobody could figure him out. The only thing that was his purpose was making traps on the spawn grounds of Strength SMP. Trapping and his passion for it was the only essential that kept his deadly title alive, so he deeply wanted to keep a routine of assembling his traps while nobody was online. His dedication for constructing traps was one thing, then came the actual trapping and killing part which have been the only things that maintained his satisfaction for the past few months on the server.

Something held him back though. Not something, someone. Jude wasn’t the greatest at feelings, he wasn’t even a tad bit decent at them. Sometimes while manufacturing his traps, he used to find himself in some type of thought. A thought of loneliness. Every now and then he just wished he had somebody next to him. Who could laugh at his jokes or not even talk at all, just exist right next to him.

Eventually his wish was fulfilled. One day he found himself trapping a deadly player, a very stupid one.

“Gotcha.” Jude quietly whispered to himself in satisfaction. He hasn’t spoken much to the player of the name Sharpness before, only knew that he swung his swords really good.

“What the hell? Please don’t kill me, Jude!” Sharpness yelled surprised of his surroundings.

Even though the swordmaster was pleading not to get slaughtered Jude couldn’t not kill him. He was taking every chance at gaining more strength and getting more powerful. He doesn’t know of the word empathy or at least doesn’t want to. Yet just for a second he caught a glimpse of himself caring. What the fuck? Jude doesn’t care about others– or at least he didn’t, like ever.

After all, he did kill Sharpness. Picking up Sharpness’ strength and loot the trapper felt this god-awful feeling that he never got before. A feeling? Jude wasn’t great at those. The only feeling he liked was satisfaction but that isn’t really the case here is it?

Jude pulled out his communicator.

JudeLow whispers to Conexion: Come back.

Sharpness came back. Unfortunately, he came back with ideas.

“Come on, we could get so many kills and strength together. Nobody would even give a thought that we would ever be teamed!” Sharpness said out of excitement, looking at the trapper with puppy-eyes.

God, Jude couldn’t. He couldn’t team with his enemy. He doesn’t even trust Sharpness, and there’s no doubt that the fighter doesn’t trust him either. The rabbit was so close to his breaking point. Too many thoughts had filled his mind.

“Fine.” Jude spitted out intrusively. Before he could even start regretting his decision Sharpness was jumping with such excitement he himself has never seen on anybody before.

“Hell yeah! We’re going to make such a good team!” The other boy screamed. “Can I have my loot back then…?”

Ever since that simple sentence Jude had written, him and Sharpness had become teammates. The only logic reasoning for their allyship was due to the fact that they would serve as the most dominant team on the server. Actually, that was the only thing Sharpness basically rambled about in their entire conversation.

And for the first time in a while Jude was happy to finally have somebody beside him. Now he just had to figure who Sharpness actually is.

-

Jude had started another one of his days being greeted by no one other then his new teammate. After all he couldn’t even expect anybody else since he doesn’t usually converse with others if it isn’t when he traps them. He doesn’t mind the quiet though, which was weird because rabbits are supposed to live in groups, that’s how they are protected and content. He was different and he knew that. But that’s why he liked trapping. Jude didn’t have to communicate with anybody for weeks on end if that meant he could just form traps. Until now.

Looking through his shit ton of goods he dissembled from his old used trap he felt his teammate coming from behind. He knew that today the fighter would be overjoyed since they had just won a 2v2 against Tai and N00B a few days ago. You could say he was preparing for the daily Sharpness yap.

“Can you show me how your traps work?” Sharpness asked blissfully while Jude was obviously still remarkably busy messing with his shulker boxes full of trap materials. Now that caught him off guard. Jude briefly glanced at his teammate, avoiding eye contact. He wasn’t expecting that question. Actually, he didn’t expect for Sharpness to be interested in him at all. He was more so expecting a full-on rant of their next plan for an execution of their enemies or a blab of him overglazing himself. And Jude didn’t forget the fact that he did show him the location of every trap he had built in case of Sharpness possibly being jumped alone. Although he did know that his teammate was pretty capable of beating anyone on the server by himself alone. So why was Sharpness interested in him at all?

“Right now? Why?” Jude asked back with a double question including slight annoyance. It’s not like he was upset with his teammate, he was just missing his free time sometimes. And Sharpness kept acting like a princess. He always wanted something from Jude and the trapper never had the balls to say no to other people. Well actually that’s a lie, he never had the courage to say no to his only teammate. Ever.

Jude still hasn’t gotten so used to this everyday-dialogue-teammate-thing yet. Especially when Sharpness has been saying every one of his last thoughts out loud. The trapper had his days where he would purposely hide from his teammate. It was only to breathe for a bit though. He was always so full of thoughts he needed to get out when he was with the blond. Jude just didn’t know how to properly talk with him like they were friends. He was so confused if they even were friends. And to clear up he generally did like Sharpness’ company, he just had to learn how to trust him first for a proper conversation.

“Well, I want to see them, you know wanna see how they work and stuff, I guess.” Sharpness spoke out quieter and more disinterested now that he picked up on Jude’s annoyance.

Jude sighed awkwardly, not knowing how to respond. He held his breath. The trapper still had so many questions like: Why is he interested in my traps? Does he want to somehow get revenge on me for killing him? Does he want to betray me? Are we even friends? Okay now Jude was definitely overthinking it. And to state the fact, no the trapper obviously knew they weren’t friends and that this is probably a two-week allyship before the swordmaster actually gets revenge on him. Before he could even say one word the guy next to him was speaking.

“You know what, clearly you are so busy you can’t even verbalize, so forget about it.” Sharpness huffed clearly not bothered to speak to his teammate anymore. The trapper deeply exhaled, hurt, watching his teammate head out of the base, probably to go mess with somebody else on the server. Well now Jude just had to make traps in a bad mood. He only had himself to blame for what just happened. Sharpness clearly trusted him and wanted to hang out like a normal teammate and Jude just ghosted him like some jerk for what, not trusting his ally even a little bit?

Jude was now about half an hour in into setting up his new 2x2 base trap. Or at least trying to set it up. Why was he setting it up in the first place again? He couldn’t really remember, couldn’t really even care. His mind was entirely overflowing with ideas how to make up with his clearly irked teammate. Which was his fault, again. He wished his brain would fully shut off, just for a minute. It was like his thoughts were doing some type of tug of war game, which completely drove his mind insane.

Before he could think any more a close explosion was going off. It was all so sudden and minor he almost thought he was going mental. I mean what did he expect, he made his base at spawn. Of course fights would befall near him. The trapper sighed.

Jude then started to zone out, forgetting that an explosion even happened. Pacing over the floors of his base he tried sorting the feelings in his brain again. Just thinking about Sharpness made his head hurt. He didn’t even know why. The answers for every question he had today were blank. It was like an exam you didn’t study for. The trapper at least wanted one question answered today. Why did he act weird towards his teammate earlier? Why did he get so baffled with Sharpness’ question? Never mind, he could try a double question then.

He knew that his usual overstimulation over traps got to the best of him, but he knew that wasn’t the only reason. Something obviously had to trigger him. He then thought about it deeper. And then in just a matter of minutes something snapped in him. He clearly never had somebody care or be curious about what he did, like ever. Maybe that explained his actions. The questions were just so casual now it made Jude even more insane. He was filling with so much embarrassment in such a short period, he genuinely thought he was losing it.

Then it hit him. Explosion. Spawn. Sharpness. Connecting the dots, Jude fell into a state of concern. For Sharpness, his teammate. He certainly couldn’t catch a break today. It was like every player he has ever trapped was praying on his downfall. In just a matter of minutes he fixed his inventory that prepared him for a fight and made it out of his base quickly. Moving fast, his eyes were everywhere trying to find his teammate. He thought about every single bad state he could find his teammate in which most definitely didn’t help. When he finally saw the explosion and Sharpness next to it—unharmed, he exhaled in relief. Next to his teammate was Spongs. Spongs who was no one other than Sharpness’ old teammate. They were laughing, together.

For some odd reason Jude felt his heart ache. Still, he pushed it away because he knew it meant nothing good. While making himself walk over to them he only hoped he could talk to his teammate normally this time. Thinking about being alone again made his stomach uncomfortably weak. Sharpness was the first one who noticed him. Every worry about their talk going wrongly went away when his teammate gave him the biggest smile. He fully observed the guy lunging towards him, while counting the seconds he saw Sharpness smile. Jesus. He couldn’t do this.

“Jude!!” Sharpness yelled joyfully, running over to his teammate.

“Just breathe,” Jude murmured to himself before the sword master was in front of him. He had to calm down if he wanted to make this work.

“Oh uh— hey Sharp.. What are you guys doing?” Jude spoke out softly while clearing his throat. He  noticed that he was closing the proximity a bit too much for their usual distance. But for some reason it didn’t bother him being this close to Sharpness.

“Oh! Nothing much really, me and Spongs were just messing around.” The swordmaster stated, his voice quieter now. When Jude went to make eye contact with his teammate, Sharpness was already looking at him innocently. His stomach tightened. “So uh, why’d you come here? Did you run out of something for your traps? Do you want me to get you something?” Sharpness added, clearly ready to do chores for his teammate who was being nothing but a jerk today.

“No I- Um. I came to apologise. For earlier.” Jude announced, now clearly worrying what his teammate might think. Seeing Sharpness lose the eye contact with him made his stomach tighten even more. At that moment he so desperately just wanted to just shove himself six feet deep underground.

“Oh.” Sharpness replied, not showing any type of emotion now, which worried Jude even more. Before he could think any more his mouth was already opening.

“Listen, I’m sorry. Like really sorry. Usually when I focus on my traps I try to be fully concentrated to not fuck anything up. I mean it clearly messed with my mood today which fucked up our conversation and it made me more unfocused now. And for some damn reason I cannot stop thinking to apologise because I really didn’t mean to come off mean and I want us to be friends—“ Jude said, all in one breath.

“Dude, what are you talking about? We are friends, and teammates, and like the most powerful duo on the server.” Sharpness cut him off, confused and grinning at the same time. When Jude looked up again, he saw his teammate looking at him already—for the second time today.

He was left without words, again. Okay then, this was way easier than he thought. A smile corrupted the trapper. For the first time in a while Jude felt content. He didn’t have his heart aching badly anymore. All he had was a friend. He had a friend now and that’s all that mattered.

“Still wanna see how my traps work?” Jude spoke out, hearing his own heart, still beating quicky by the cause of excitement.

Before Sharpness’ could even get a chance to answer, his obvious smirk gave it away.

-

Jude’s mind was a mess again. There was no point in denying the fact that that every time he was around his teammate his heart felt ‘different’. The presence of the swordmaster was making him go ballistic. Not in that bad way again, though. He even more than liked being next to Sharpness. It didn’t matter if they were taking out-numbered fights on the server, building together, talking together or just being quiet when in the same room alone. Jude had always appreciated that he had somebody next to him who he could trust. He sometimes just couldn’t control himself around the blond.

The trapper smiled to himself while rearranging the most random stuff in his base. He got lost in his thoughts again, whereas Sharpness was in the other room quietly brewing potions. For some odd reason his teammate decided to move in with him. Sharpness didn’t officially declare that he was moving in, but every morning Jude would wake up with his teammate pondering around their base without armour, while humming to himself. That didn’t bother Jude, though. He was more than happy to have somebody protecting him and making him company 24/7.

Today was one of their usual days. The base felt peaceful, even a little bit too much Jude could say. He had this feeling that everything was too quiet, even for his own liking. Jude was that type of player who was always over-cautious. I mean he was a trapper after all, he had to be cautious all the time. His instincts were just screaming at him that something might be wrong, that something might endanger him and Sharpness.

As he was about to warn the boy in the other room of something potentially happening he was met with his teammate being all bubbly with himself while sorting his potions in the chests. He forcefully had to shove the bad thoughts away. He grinned to himself. Just watching Sharpness being happy made his heart pound rapidly. Staring down at the guy in front of him, he painfully couldn’t deny that his teammate was pretty. Not only pretty, but mesmerizing. Sharpness’ long hair shined in a way Jude could talk for hours. Another thing he could talk about was his teammate’s eyes. The specific soft emerald colour of them and the way they gleamed when they looked at the trapper. In moments like those Jude’s brain fully shut off never wanting to turn on again. He found so much value in Sharpness that even just gazing at some part of him made his legs weak.

Before Jude could even observe his teammate any more, he noticed blocks breaking above him. In just a matter of seconds the trapper was hit with a sharp pain at the top of his head. Great, now he had to turn his brain on again. As he was getting striked at, he witnessed another two players macing Sharpness in the other room. Okay so people actually were praying on their downfall now. “Shit!” Jude yelled, dodging the third player’s sword with his shield.

Somehow in a span of five minutes Jude had realised two things. His instincts were in fact right and he gained understanding that he and Sharpness were now in a battle against three invis players. However, the trapper understood that other people were to come back for revenge sooner than later. The second awareness he picked up on was that his inventory was fully of building materials for his base so he was basically losing this fight, badly. Since he had no other choice, he decided to check if Sharpness was doing any better in the room next  to him.

“Sharp, you good?” Jude shouted in hopes of hearing that at least the teammate with better fighting skills was winning, or at least trying to survive.

“Kinda? Both of these guys are really good though, so I don’t really know if I can hold for much longer!” Sharpness reported back to Jude in a high pitched voice.

Glancing at the room his teammate was in, he had concluded that both of them were entirely hopeless in this fight. For a genuine second Jude thought about giving up and dying on the spot. That was until he got slammed in the head so hard for the second time today that something in him had finally snapped. It was then when he lost all his patience. Equipping some random sharpness sword he owned, the trapper punched the enemy in front of him so hard the invis player unexpectedly fell through one of his 1x1 open traps.

For the first time in a while the trapper was actually… proud of his overstimulation. Before Jude knew it, he was already stabbing his trapped opponent to death in excitement. When the person in front of him finally perished leaving nothing but loot, he finally let himself exhale in easement.

Dol9hin was slain by JudeLow

Okay, now that only leaves two people left to kill, or trap. Jude liked both options. It was now very clear that Tai and N00B came back for revenge and somehow thought that bringing another player was going to make them win. He couldn’t let them win.

His mind ever so quickly reminded him of Sharpness again. He immediately had to help his teammate if he wanted both of them alive by the end of this conflict. After quickly securing all of Dol9hin’s loot in his ender-chest he made his way up the ladder trusting that his teammate is going to be in a somewhat good state. Before going back to the fight, he quickly crafted a few buttons and pressure plates that could be useful for another one his traps. He had planned to use one of his bigger traps on the duo that was currently battling Sharpness this time.

After finally reaching the part of the base where his teammate was located at, Jude was startled to find Sharpness situated on the floor, all out of breath, bloody. The trapper sucked in a breath trying to figure out if the swordmaster got harmed. Before he could even notice any injuries on his teammate’s body he was already crouching over Sharpness, speaking.

“Sharp, are you okay? Where did Tai and N00B go? I didn’t see any messages in chat, what happened?” Jude spoke out all in one breath whilst looking at every part of Sharpness, still trying to find some type of wound.

“I— I think I’m okay… Although they got me really hard near my ribs. Those fucking bitches had to run off after seeing Dolphin get trapped. I guess they’re that scared of you, huh.” Sharpness responded, slightly laughing and looking at his teammate longingly at the same time.

“Okay, let me see how bad it is.” The trapper declared, not letting it be a question. Strangely, the swordmaster actually let him. As Sharpness straightened his legs to move them away, the trapper had only gotten closer. Jude blinked a few times before reaching to see how bad it really was. He then only realised that his teammate was still wearing his chestplate. Jude only so slightly looked at his teammate for consent. Why did he even need consent for anything, if it was obviously only for Sharpness’ well-being?

When he saw at the corner of his eye his teammate’s hardly noticeable nod he finally let himself remove the chestplate. At that point he knew that Sharpness had to be taken care off, considering the swordmaster’s very certain scar that one of those idiots gave him. Jude himself wasn’t a huge fan of blood, especially when it came to people he cared about. The only person he cared about. His eagerness to kill everybody who hurt Sharpness raised even more with just looking at his teammate’s blood-drenched shirt. When Jude went to pick his teammate up Sharpness only snickered, finding the situation somehow funny. That’s when he realised his teammate was actually out of it.

“Sharp come on, we gotta get to a safer place so I can manage to help you.” Jude declared, trying to elevate Sharpness once again. The other guy complied this time, letting Jude wrap his hands arounds the trapper's neck. When Jude finally wanted to start moving, Sharpness was one step ahead already trying to say something, probably unimportant.

“Juudee… I have to tell you someething...” Sharpness murmured in a voice that could be described as a whisper. The trapper only ignored him, never stopping to look away from the floor while unintentionally glancing at his and Sharpness’ hands with their pinkies somewhat brushing. Jude then rapidly spoke out, finally getting out of his trance.

“Not now, we have to get moving. You can tell me later.” The trapper responded, still visibly worried that his teammate might pass out on the spot or something.

“Well, I just wanted to tell you look very.. pleasant when you’re worried.” Sharpness cleared his throat, ignoring that Jude even spoke out before him. “Worried after me especially,” Sharpness added, grinning at Jude the whole time. For just a few seconds silence spread around them, just as much as staring into one another did. Sharpness was still all bloody faced, smiling all like he just won some kind of prize, still very much out of it. And Jude was falling for it, he was falling for his teammate’s stupid smile. The trapper had to agree that with the swordmaster’s face all bloody and his eyes all on Jude he was indeed gorgeous, breathtaking even.

It took Jude about an hour of dragging his teammate, all flustered from a few moments before, to finally arrive to one of his hidden bases. And yes, the trapper did have multiple bases no one knew about. Well, that was at least until now. The first thing Jude did was set the guy he had still wrapped hands around down on his bed so he could finally bandage Sharpness up before getting a chance at resting his eyes even just for a little bit. Keeping the swordmaster in his bedroom for tonight seemed like a partly good idea so he went along with it. That was after finally comprehending the fact that he was going to be sleeping on the floor that night. He didn’t mind it though. He’d rather sleep on the floor than let the injured princess sleep somewhere else, anywhere else.

After carefully placing his teammate down on his bed, Jude made his way to the part of the base where he kept his healing pots. The current base he was in was not the biggest. Actually, all of the backup bases he had made were small and made for a single person. Usually Jude wouldn’t like sharing a one-person space, but this time he didn’t mind sharing. He didn’t mind sharing anything with Sharpness anymore. Including the gap between the two of them when they’re together. As he made his way through the cramped base Jude finally found the chest he was looking for. The chest didn’t have many healing potions, so the trapper could only pray it would help the currently injured guy on his bed.

As Jude made his way back inside his room he was in shock to find Sharpness laying on the ground. In that moment Sharpness could only be compared to a little kid whose only mission is to make angel figures in the snow. The swordmaster had his eyes closed as if he were asleep. Sharpness was not asleep, considering the fact he was still giggling to himself. There were no worlds where you could describe that Sharpness was currently injured. The trapper kneeled down to get a better look at his teammate. Studying Sharpness’ angelic face for the hundredth time this week Jude finally took notice to heal him, but before Jude could even ask the blond to get on the bed again he was already hearing Sharpness talk.

“Jude? Is that you?” Sharpness spoke out excitedly, as if this was the first time seeing the trapper today. That kind of frightened Jude. Did the enemies drug his teammate? If so, they were the biggest kill on sight for him yet and he wouldn’t let them get away with no consequences.

“Yes Sharp, it’s me. C’mon let me help you get on the bed so I can finally heal you.” Jude answered with a pleading voice, clearly wanting his teammate to comply.

“Oh uh, yeah I mean I will get on your bed, but can you carry me to it? I don’t think I can feel my legs…” The swordmaster stated, very clearly lying while holding the biggest grin on his face. The trapper stared at Sharpness. Was he serious? The bed was literally not even five feet away from him. And to add, Jude goes all this way to do anything to help the guy currently on the floor and all Sharpness wanted was more princess treatment? Jude put one of his hands over his face in a sign of exhaustion, while secretly smiling to himself. The mere idea of doing anything Sharpness asked made Jude realise he wouldn’t even mind it, at least this time. The trapper knew his teammate wouldn’t even remember half of the things he did the day before.

“Yeah sure, anything for you, princess.” Jude murmured softly as he closed the proximity between the two of them. Lifting Sharpness up he only realised both his hands and face were heating up. For many odd reasons the trapper was enjoying this. Enjoying taking care of the guy he was carrying right now. As Jude flopped Sharpness down on his bed he made sure to give him a look of a sign not to go anywhere this time. Sharpness only smiled. It was like the guy wasn’t even suffering from any pain at all.

“Princess” Sharpness whispered to himself as the contact between him and Jude disappeared, still making sure Jude heard him.

While both of them were still in deep silence Jude finally started to help Sharpness. While pulling up on Sharpness’ shirt the heat on Jude’s face never stopped rising.  After eventually finishing with the process of splashing his teammate’s scar with healing he started bandaging him up. As he put his hands on his teammate’s body the temperature of it only surprised Jude. Sharpness was so cold which worried Jude even more.

“Gosh, are you always this cold?” Jude asked in concern, while still carefully bandaging Sharpness’ scar. The silence still spread around the room with Judes question unanswered. Glancing at his teammate Jude had realised the guy was asleep. Actually this time. With the trapper finally finishing the full bandaging process he could only scoot closer next to Sharpness and examine him whole. Jude was so screwed. So screwed with his teammate being in his bed, and his secret base nobody knew about. He was screwed for what he was about to do and still didn’t regret it at all.

Finding a comfortable spot on his bed Jude gently pulled Sharpness next to him. Cuddling into his teammate he had only now realised how good Sharpness’ hair smelled like. The trapper inhaled his teammate’s scent, wishing to never forget it. With Jude in this position, his body still heated against Sharpness’ cold one, he could only hope that by the morning both of them would be separated.

“Goodnight, princess.” Jude rumbled slowly drifting to sleep while still clinging to his teammate’s body, never wanting to let go.

-

The next morning Jude woke up alone. With Sharpness nowhere to be found in his bed he hurriedly got up. After rethinking, he conceived that getting up right after he woke up was the biggest mistake he could’ve made in that moment. As he got up his vision rapidly went black, where he then went dizzy. After taking one step- actually no, he didn’t even take a step. With his leg hanging in the air trying to make one Jude only lost his balance and face-planted right on the floor. Hard.

“Fuck- Dude, are you serious?” Jude spitted out, clearly talking to himself (and the floor?) in pain. Clearly this day was going to be even worse than yesterday. Actually- What the hell does he mean better than yesterday? He couldn’t even try to compare any day with yesterday. He couldn’t say it was really that awful. I mean yes, he got jumped in his base but last night topped any nights he has ever lived throughout on the server. And it was because of his teammate. Just thinking about Sharpness and him sleeping and hugging together while Jude was warming up Sharp– God, he had to make these thoughts stop before it got any worse.

As he was about to pull on his ears out of frustration, somebody walked into the room. And of course it wasn’t just a somebody. It was his well-known teammate. His teammate who knew nothing other than holding a wide smile on his face in front of Jude while yawning and rubbing his eyes.

“Oh, good morning, Jude!” Sharpness expressed with a high-pitched voice after apprehending that Jude was— well he was still on the floor unfortunately. Jude only stared at him. He opened his mouth to say something before closing it and then opening it again to finally greet the blond. Unfortunately, the only word he made out was “Hi.”

As the seconds went by Jude’s body only heated more out of embarrassment. He felt his face burning and blushing so much he had to cover himself with his hands in fear of the swordmaster noticing him. When Jude uncovered his face he then only realised that Sharpness was watching him.

With the trapper still very much on the floor, in sitting position now, the best thing they could do at that moment is stare at each other. And they did. For about ten seconds straight they longingly stared into one another’s eyes. Jude stared deeply trying to understand the emotion twirling around in the room as well as trying not to make anything awkward. Sharpness stared at him back in some type of way Jude couldn’t read out. But before he could even try to understand again the boy in front of him suddenly broke the only contact that wasn’t the words between them today. With the tension now gone, the trapper was still staring at his teammate before he started to see and hear Sharpness talk, his voice more raw and stuttering now.

“Uh um, I was maybe kind of wondering if you wanted to go out on a walk with me,” Sharpness got out, his eyes still everywhere but on Jude. The trapper somehow took this as an opportunity to finally stand up from the floor as his teammate was speaking faster now. “I mean I would go alone but I still feel pretty dazed from yesterday.” Finally standing now, taller than the guy still in awkward position Jude decided it was about time they talk to each other face-to-face and make a normal damn conversation. Or maybe he wasn’t that brave yet.

“Yeah, Yeah of course I’ll go with you. Do you have any spot in mind?” Jude asked softly, moving closer to his teammate now. Moving closer was the second mistake he did that day. Jude was absolutely now standing too damn close. The proximity between them was so small he could detect Sharpness’ scent. And that thing alone reminded Jude of last night. The only night to remember. As he tried moving before his teammate could even get those damn eyes of the floor to look at him, his body wouldn’t budge. Okay seriously now, what the fuck.

With Jude all spaced-out daydreaming about him and Sharpness together he didn’t even apprehend that his hand reached for Sharpness’. As he felt only the slightest contact between their fingers he panicked. After pulling away so fast he grasped that the guy across from him didn’t even notice anything. Sharpness was still looking at floor, all sort of disoriented.

“No, I mean I don’t even know where I am so…” Sharpness responded obviously clearing out the fact that he in fact doesn’t remember anything from yesterday. At this point the guy genuinely found something amazing in that damn oak floor. Jude sighed, both from relief and hopelessness. Even though one part of him couldn’t be happier that Sharpness doesn’t remember anything that happened or could’ve happened yesterday he still couldn’t figure out how his teammate feels. He didn’t know if Jude was the only one going through all these types of feelings and it was making him go absolutely crazy.

“Oh well, I have a spot I can take you to then.” The trapper exhaled while still trying to pull himself together. As he glanced to the shorter boy he only saw him nodding which Jude knew was a sign of agreement. When Sharpness finally looked up from the ground Jude saw the swordmaster gazing at him, wordlessly saying that he wanted to get out of the base.

Once both of them reached the top, finally exiting the base, they started making the way to Jude’s spot. Unsurprisingly, most of their walk up until a point had been in silence. And Jude was so over with the constant absence of conversing with the person he trusted the most. When the trapper knew they had only reached half way he went to check on his still clumsy teammate who he accidentally left behind. Glancing back, Jude who was fully in front of Sharpness, saw the boy just.. muttering words to himself. With no other choice he decided to shout out for him.

“Oy, princess.” Jude spitted out, fully in regret after saying the nickname so clearly. When Sharpness connected eyes with Jude he continued speaking loudly “Come up here, were almost there.” Well, now Jude was just purely lying. He didn’t care though, if Sharpness didn’t want to talk for the rest of the walk he’d accept that. His goal was just to have his teammate near him since Sharpness still looked pretty sick, that thing alone only worried Jude more.

After his teammate reached him they started to then finally walk together. “You good there?” Jude asked trying to get at least one sentence out of Sharpness.

“I– Yeah, I’m okay.” Sharpness answered, stuttering out the words. Who was this guy actually fooling? Jude? Who did Sharpness think Jude even was, some idiot who doesn’t notice shit? Jude was a trapper for God’s sake he read people like books. He even knew when others were lying while trying to trap him back for revenge. While looking through his surroundings something suddenly clicked in Jude’s brain. The trapper widely smirked to himself.

Without any warning Jude put a hand in front of Sharpness’ body in a sign for him to stop walking. “Hold on. Wait here, don’t go anywhere.” The trapper said rapidly, fully gone out of Sharpness’ sight in just seconds. When Sharpness reached to see where his teammate was going he only saw Jude place down his ender-chest. With being able to see absolutely nothing, Sharp just gave up and patiently waited for the trapper to come back.

When Jude appeared again, he was standing in front of his teammate smiling, with his hands behind his back. Sharpness only looked at him like he had a million questions in mind.

“I have a surprise for you…” Jude got out with his face reddening only a little bit. Okay, maybe more than a little bit. With absolutely nothing to lose Jude reached closer to his teammate, trying to pull himself down to Sharpness’ level of height. Throughout all this Sharpness never moved, didn’t look like he even breathed at all. He just started at Jude, his cheeks flashing a hint of pink. Pulling one of his hands from his back Jude revealed a flower. Not just any flower, it was a white lily he collected at the start of the server. A flower really special to Jude.

Back when he was all alone at the start of the server, just purely trapping people left and right he had found that lily sitting next to a specific bench. When he found it he promised to himself that he would give it to somebody who truly made him happy, somebody who he would find happiness in, if he even found them. Not finding content in killing the person but more in a trusting relationship them. Which was exactly the symbol of a lily. Happiness.

After he packed it in one of the slots in his ender-chest, he completely forgot and gave up on it, until now. With Jude finally exposing the lily, he had nothing more to do then give it to his teammate, a person who he trusted more than anybody at this point. His only goal was at least trying to make Sharpness a tiny bit elated. He just wanted a somewhat smile to admire today.

When he saw Sharpness just glancing from the lily to Jude for a full minute he finally decided to say something. “It’s for you. Come on, take it.” The trapper declared with the biggest grin on his face. He wanted nothing more than to see his teammate be happy just for a few seconds. In that moment where his heart started beating quickly he could only pray that Sharpness would accept his gift.

Jude’s face warmed even more than before when Sharpness finally accepted his gift. The swordmaster then turned his head only so slightly from the purple head, trying to hide the soft smile he wore from Jude.

“The flower itself kind of perfectly describes your eyes,” Jude spoke out, crossing his arms while staring at Sharpness, grinning. He now apprehended that Sharpness was weak when it came to compliments. Especially the ones that came from the trapper himself. “It’s stem matches the soft colour of your eyes, while the colour of the flower itself represents the spark in them that shows only when you’re excited…” Jude continued, obviously trying to get a bigger reaction out of the blond.

“Oh, and lets not forget–“ Before Jude could finish his sentence the boy in front of him finally turned, speaking this time.

“Okay, okay you can stop now, Jude.” Sharpness expressed all flushed in a happy tone which completely satisfied the trapper. What made him even happier is when he saw Sharpness kind of trying to place the flower in-between his sparkly golden hair and his ear. When the swordmaster sighed out of frustration he was also unnoticeably trying to hint at Jude to help him out. Without even volunteering Jude came in front of his teammate, with one hand he softly reached for the guy’s chin to tilt Sharpness’ head up. While with the other one he took the lily from the shorter boy’s hand, their fingers brushing accidentally.

With Jude finally displaying the lily in Sharpness’ hair he couldn’t stop looking at him. Damn, he was beautiful. Even more than just beautiful, Jude would describe. That thought alone gave the trapper notice that he actually felt something for Sharpness. Something that he couldn’t fully reach yet.

“All done. Ready to go now, princess?” The trapper asked while holding the biggest smirk on his face. Sharpness started at him for a few seconds before it was so visible that he couldn’t hold eye contact anymore. He only nodded, which again was a gesture that they should get to the spot Jude was taking them to.

For the rest of the walk Jude wouldn’t stop glimpsing at the boy next to him. He wanted to make sure Sharpness wouldn’t be left behind this time. Truly, Jude knew that he was now the reason for Sharpness’ mood improvement. What made it even more obvious is that every once in a while they would bump their lengthy uneven shoulders and the shorter boy would just kind of softly giggle. He admired that he was a few inches taller than the swordmaster.

After a walk with definitely more conversation Jude finally presented his perfect spot he took Sharp to. And to nobody’s surprise it was actually the only spot Jude had in mind from the entire server. And it included a bench.

Jude was the first one to come up to it, fully in joy after seeing his special spot where his lily came from. He explored the surroundings, in question if anything had changed since the last time he came here. As well as peeking at the spot the specific familiar white flower was taken from. After him came his teammate. He peacefully sat on the edge of the bench, looking mesmerised from the view. Closely to him sat the trapper. In opposition, Sharpness was the one who was being mesmerised by the one and only, Jude.

“You really do like it here, huh.” Jude read the look on the blond’s face, breaking the silence. Still hanging from Sharpness’ hair stood the flower which Jude couldn’t stop looking at. He couldn’t even believe that the origin from it was the exact place they were seated at.

“I– I guess I do.” Sharpness exhaled, before replying to the purple headed guy. When Sharpness briefly looked at Jude was when the sudden mood of the trapper changed. He looked so genuine, like he was prepared to give a pep talk to Sharpness.

“Sharp. Cut the bullshit. Something obviously changed your mood today at the base and you’ve been moping ever since. I went with you and took you here so you can talk to me because I see based on your appearance that something is clearly bothering you. I want you to know that you can be honest with me because I trust you and you should trust me too. We’re teammates and that clearly means something, at least to me.” Jude spoke out in a serious tone. For a second he almost regretted that he even said something. Because at this point he definitely ruined both of their moods, for which then apparently the lily didn’t need to be even exposed. And it was all now suddenly placed out of Sharpness’ hair. He stared at Sharpness’ hands who was just anxiously fidgeting with it now.

Jude, for the first time today, felt too awkward to hold eye contact after finishing what needed to be said. He felt awful now, wanting to fully go back in time and start the conversation differently.

“I–“ Sharpness stuttered, very startled with what the guy next to him said. Abruptly, in just a matter of seconds Jude saw Sharpness going from fully awkward with nothing to say to confident, now looking at him.

“Did we sleep together last night?” The blond spoke out in one breath, his face reddening with each second that passed.

“I– What?” The trapper answered back trying to fully process what was going on. And truly, he was in deep shit.

“Did we sleep–“ Sharpness went to repeat himself.

“No, I got that, I just uh,” It was then and there where Jude was truly left without words. At that point he could only drift his eyes between Sharpness who was still looking at him and the foot he was shoving the dirt beneath.

“Jude.” The swordmaster spoke up, trying to get Jude’s attention. “I just wanted to say I didn’t— and don’t mind it,” Sharpness answered the known question Jude didn’t even ask. “I sometimes kind of wake up in the middle of the night.” He started to explain. “And usually, I wouldn’t fall asleep for hours because of how cold I can be but that didn’t seem to be the issue tonight..”

The trapper exhaled in relief, slowly lifting his gaze to look at the boy who’s clearly… grateful for last night? I mean don’t get him wrong, the moment the blond said he didn’t mind it his inner thoughts were cheering. And if he could repeat his actions every night for the rest of his life he definitely would.

“Oh. Yeah, I mean you kind of did look really sick so I just wanted to make sure you wouldn’t fall off the bed… or something.” Jude tried making excuses, murmuring the last part at himself.

“Uh huh.” Sharpness laughably sighed out, fully figuring the purple head out. This time the guy quiet literally looked like he was going to start laughing. And Jude quickly had to inhale the smile he held, just in case he wouldn’t get another happy expression today. He briefly turned around, trying to hide the redness of his face for the millionth time today.

“Hey, what’s that at the back of your left ear?” Sharpness asked. The unexpected question struck Jude. Did he mean his birthmark? How did he even notice such a small dot that was visibly impossible to see? The questions assembled in the trapper’s brain. Jude then turned back, both prepared to answer his teammate while wanting to get a glimpse of the boy again.

“Oh, that’s just my-“ Before he could even finish answering the question he detected Sharpness getting closer. And then the physical contact in the back of his ears. Aaaaand he was fucked. The caressing Sharpness did made Jude fully shut down. The trapper was as close to pulling the boy off as literally whine due to the graze. It was safe to say that Sharpness fully hit Jude’s sensitive spot.

Jude then gripped onto the blond’s waist. “Sharp-“ The trapper somehow got out half whining, fully flushed from what was going on. After Sharpness realised that Jude was clinging to him for dear life he suddenly stopped all the touching and the only thing he had to say was “Your ears are so soft.” While holding a goddamn smile.

The trapper hit his back on the bench so hard while trying to escape Sharpness where he then actually whined in pain. “Motherfucker.” Jude panted. There was just so many emotions going on in his head in that moment and it was all in front of Sharpness. He finally sat in a normal position after he saw the blond just taking long glances at him.

“Dear god, Sharp. What the hell was that for?” Jude questioned the blond, after starting to rub his ears. He kind of realised midway through his question that he actually both missed and enjoyed the sudden contact of Sharpness’ hands on hi— Okay that was way too far. Missed? Enjoyed? What the fuck does that even mean.

Okay sure we all know that bunnies do indeed like having their ears touched, caressed, rubbed—Whatever. But we also all know that Jude was not like others. He never lived with others, literally never did anything his species was supposed to do. And when we kind of sum all these things up it all comes to one resolution. That Sharpness was an exception.

He liked doing all these things with Sharpness and Sharpness only. That can only mean that the trapper felt different towards his teammate. And not in a friends different—he meant as in more than just friends.

In a blink of an eye Jude’s face expression changed.

“What? I can’t touch your ears too anym—“ The boy still smiling at him went to respond, but before Sharpness could finish the purple head stood up and interrupted him.

“Hey uh I kind of forgot to cover one of my big traps near like spawn.” Jude never forgets to cover his traps. “I need to like go right now to um— cover it up. I’ll see you back at the base.”

Without even waiting for Sharpness’ response, he turned his heel away from the bench and started sprint-walking away from him. He was again, in deep shit.

-

What the hell was that? What is he supposed to do now? Jude was instantly questioning himself with questions that he had no answers to. He kept rethinking about his feelings the whole time while anxiously pacing around the spawn’s side terrain where he wouldn’t be found by anybody. And to top all of this he just fucking lied to Sharpness. When did they even start lying to each other like this? I mean it truly was for a good cause if Jude questioned—this. This all so clearly being the relationship—friendship—or just the allyship between the both of them. At this point the world could call him a goner because he was completely and utterly hopeless with him and his thoughts alone. Like—what does one even do once they realise they’re in love with someone? Was he even in love-

All in thought the Jude who usually had great reflexes hadn’t realised the person in front of him in enough time so now he was all so suddenly and hardly bumping into somebody. This caught him off guard though—not only him being so clumsy. It was by the reason of actually finding somebody here, since nobody usually walks around the paths he was on right now. That thought quickly disappeared once he realised who he was actually bumping into. When he finally decided to look up from his boots he wouldn’t stop shoving the dirt with he saw nobody other than—Spongs? Really? He tries to go somewhere alone and what does world give him? Motherfucking Spongs? The trapper exhaled in annoyance after he saw him.

“Well, well, well, isn’t it the Spongs-replacee.” The yellow guy in front of him spoke out with attitude, clearly annoyed that he got replaced from being Sharpness’ teammate.

“Not now Spongs, I’ve already had a bad day today. And right now you actually have a choice to not ruin it even more than it already is.”

“Okay well how would you feel-“ He closed his mouth shut, before making a grimace at Jude, and then opening it to start conversing with Jude again. “Hold on are you deadass actually both moping and yearning around spawn? Wow—didn’t know that Sharpness was actually going to reject your uncontrollable love that you have for him.” Spongs got out, almost laughing—which clearly meant he was making fun of the trapper.

“What—What the hell are you talking about? I never confessed— I mean I don’t even like him like that.” Jude rumbled his words out. He was all so surprised that Spongs knew something that was only going inside his head. Do more people know? How would they even know? He had to somehow get at least a few facts about his situation out of the guy.

“Yeah, sure, keep telling that to yourself.” The sponge disclosed, very clearly done with the conversation. He then passed Jude, ready to go onto his way. Was this the first time this dude actually stopped a conversation before all the rage baiting? Who even gives a shit—it’s Spongs.

Before he could get away Jude stopped him. “Does anybody else know.?” The trapper murmured with his only objective being trying to find out if it was already clear to other people that he liked his teammate—and to Sharpness too.

Spongs turned to look at the purple head with a smirk. “I didn’t hear you. Do you mind repeating yourself?”

Fucking Spongs bro. He obviously did hear it. This guy just genuinely had to ruin everything—like absolutely everything. And Jude was not going to be one of his stupid baited victims. There was no way in hell he was giving Spongs the upper hand.

Jude all so quickly turned around, grabbed out his pressure plates and pulled the unexpected trap that he even forgot was here until the moment Spongs even tried to enrage him. He smiled to himself, all while watching the guy fall in, screaming.

When he reached Spongs all trapped and unable to move, he then finally repeated himself. “I said, does anyone else know?”

Unfortunately for the trapper, the guy didn’t even look like being trapped bothered him. He just sat in-between the carts, stuck. He already looked prepared to be murdered by the trap and respawned for probably the tenth time this week.

“Look you robot.” Spongs started. “I ain’t telling nobody about your stupid undying love for the guy who can’t even speak out words properly—“

“You insult him one more time and you’re fucking dead.” Jude declared. He was clearly not fucking around when it came to Sharpness anymore. And there was no way in hell he was going to keep watching people always talk crap about the guy he cared about right in front of him with no consequences happen. He’d be there even if somebody touched a single hair on his teammate’s head— Okay, maybe Sharpness was a little bit more than just a teammate now, but he wouldn’t dare admit that to himself.

Spongs sighed loudly. Now openly looking like he gave no fucks about Jude’s threats. “You probably didn’t even confess yet, did you?” He kept going for some reason, still talking about Jude’s love life.

Jude stayed silent. What the hell was he even supposed to answer?

“Holy fuck bro, you need to get your head in the game.” Spongs laughed.

“What is that even supposed to mean?” The trapper asked, clearly very annoyed that somebody figured his shit out.

“Hey, I’m just saying. Theres only one expert in the room for this type of stuff and it’s not you.”

Jude was so close to losing it. He absolutely did not need to learn how to confess to Sharpness through somebody named Spongs. And even though Jude didn’t know Spongs that well, what he did know is that he was a liar. He knew that the guy went on to play on the server only to troll people and had no good intentions with anybody. He even knew that the guy was stupid as hell—at least that’s how he was described by Sharpness. But at this moment, Jude didn’t have any other choice but play Spongs’ stupid little game. He had to admit that Spongs was his only hope now—since he literally doesn’t have anybody else to go to.

“What do you have in mind?” Jude murmured, definitely embarrassed. Never in all his bunny years would he think that Spongs was going to be the person he was taking advice from.

“Well Mr. Low if you would maybe first let me out this stupid mechanism I could tell you face-to-face.” Spongs said in a mocking tone.

Jude let Spongs out of the trap.

“There. Now, can you help me?” Jude asked, trying to not sound so desperate. I mean nobody could seriously go on and blame him. Closing all these feelings in his head was driving him absolutely crazy to the point where he can’t even speak with his teammate without ogling him for at least a minute straight.

“Okay you lowkey have to sit down, this might be kind of long.” Spongs spoke out, all smiley—which was one of the reasons Jude started to regret asking Spongs for help.

Jude awfully regretted it not even five minutes in. They were now on the eighth Spongs’ ‘date recommendation’ that Jude kept saying no to by the cause of them being genuinely stupid.

“Okay so, you have to make sure you take him to a very special place,” Okay, the bench—check. ‘and during your time when you’re walking towards there hit him with a pickup line. Personally the one that would fit you the most is “Are you TNT, because you make my heart go BOOM!”’ Spongs said laughingly in a cheesy tone.

“You have five seconds to apologise for that or I’ll make sure that Tai bans you myself.” Jude threatened him. This was undoubtedly going bad. Jude, not even five minutes ago, thought that this was going to be some type of good therapist session and that Spongs actually knew about this kind of stuff. Well, clearly not—and if Spongs didn’t stop blabbering in the next ten seconds he was for sure killing him.

“Man, you’re no fun! I’m here helping you with good instructions and you’re just threatening me!” Spongs pointed at him. “I actually thought that by the end of this you would ask me to be your best man at your wedding—actually I don’t even want to be in that position anymore since you’re being so difficult!”

Jude watched Spongs in a weird expression. Okay, either this guy was trolling or he genuinely sucked at giving relationship tips. The rabbit covered his face with his hands in sign of giving up. He was truly desperate to just let these feelings out—and there was no doubt that Spongs was anyhow helping.

“Okay seriously, you need to chill.” Spongs sighed out, one of his hands hardly patting Jude on the back. Maybe Spongs wasn’t great at tips or relationship advice but he was good at comforting when somebody needed it. “Look, you just take him somewhere special, hold his hand or do some kind of gesture and if he gives you some type of sign of liking it just kiss him.” The guy still patting him on the back suggested. Okay, this truly could work. And all Jude had to do from the first place was act like a soggy cat and Spongs’ suggestions would all go twice as fast.

At that moment all Jude got out was “Oh.” It was this easy. He just had to follow three single steps that Spongs gave and it’ll all go smoothly, that’s if Sharpness does like him back.

“Wait. What if he doesn’t even like me back? What if this was all just in my head? What if—” The trapper started panicking.

“Jude! Come on, man. Do you seriously think that the whole server just—”

“THE WHOLE SERVER?”

“—imagined it.”

Both of them spoke at the same time.

“Well, when you say it like that it just sounds dramatic.” Spongs said, rolling his eyes.

“Phew. Okay. I think that I just need a break to breathe and then um— then I’ll just confess the love I have to my fucking teammate—dear God. Yeah, this all sounds really good and normal, yeah.” Jude said all in one breath, panicking. He needed to breathe and calm down because at this rate he just might die from a heart attack already.

“Exactly! And make sure to give me the position of the best man at your wedding or you’ll seriously never going to be forgiven.” Spongs declared excitedly. It was like he was more excited about the whole thing than Jude was.

“I’ll just go back to my base then.” The trapper uttered, ready to head back to the base like he said he would to Sharpness earlier. “Uh—thank you Spongs. You maybe are or aren’t on my hit list anymore.”

“Oh—okay. No problem.” Spongs answered back, partly confused.

As Jude made his way out of the trap hallway both of the idiots still stayed at the whole time, all he could think about was Sharpness. Sharpness who had all power over Jude for the past few weeks of their allyship. He smiled to himself as every single couple-like situation between the both of them was going through his head. The staring, sleeping together, the lily—it all meant so much to Jude and now all he could pray was that his teammate was not fully blind, and that he felt the same way.

It has been exactly 6 hours since Jude has last seen Sharpness. Painful 6 hours he might say. His thoughts were still echoing all over, making him almost collapsing on the spot. He wished that he didn’t have to go through all this procedure. It felt agonizing to have such feelings for someone—and he was only going through them for six hours. Okay six hours only realising he had the passion of liking somebody. Gosh, this really was driving him nuts.

He now made half the way to his base— and his teammate’s. Jesus, he really loved that guy. He has been loving him since forever. Jude, for the third time today has found himself falling freely through the air. This time, again while in deep thought, he didn’t bump into somebody but more miscalculated his steps and tumbled over his own legs. Once he found himself on the ground he promised to himself to stay laying only for five minutes. Even though he was exhausted he earlier did tell Sharpness he would be home later, and he wouldn’t go against that. Maybe his mindset wouldn’t, but his body definitely did. Jude was now on some dirty pathway deep asleep—probably dreaming about Sharpness. No, definitely dreaming about Sharpness.

-

When the sunlight hit Jude’s eyes was when he realised he had completely fucked up. Okay, he couldn’t completely blame himself for falling asleep. His body betrayed him, fully. I mean, that fact wasn’t so bad either. Jude wouldn’t dare just blurt out his feelings half dreaming, so it was definitely better than going back home. When he sat up, he then only realised he slept on literal dirt. Everything on him was in a good state except his back which was hurting like hell—and the fact that he smelled like shit. All of that armour he usually took off before going to sleep made his body ache everywhere. That wasn’t the worst issue though. Going back home right now was the biggest problem out of them all. Shit, Sharpness was going to murder him.

He rapidly stood up and started sprinting to the base. Throughout the whole way, still half asleep, Jude only thought about what to say, how to apologise, how to not be weird. Still, once he reached the base, the trapper had no idea what to say or how to start the conversation. At this point he was just going to be rumbling out random thoughts that came to mind.

When he entered the base it was already swallowed by pure silence. Usually, the base would be filled with Sharpness’ hums, but at this moment—nothing. The base was fully noiseless. Upon entering the potion room where Sharpness would usually be at Jude— actually saw him there. Even though that was no surprise, Jude still let himself feeling stunned. Sharpness was quietly brewing speed potions. The only thing that was left out was the blond’s voice. No humming, no singing, absolutely nothing but quietness coming from the swordmaster. Jude found himself staring, once again, admiring his teammate for the last time before they communed.

“Sharp.” Jude spoke out for the first time today.

When Sharpness turned around, all Jude saw before looking away was those bright green eyes and the blond’s mixed emotions. He stood a few feet away from his teammate—still not knowing either if Sharpness was worried or mad at him.

“Oh.” Sharpness said dully. What the heck? Jude was covered with dirt like he came from an intense fight and his teammate doesn’t even show one hint of worry? Does this guy even care about him? Of course he doesn’t, he should’ve known that his mind was only messing with him. His brain did make a full rotation though, after he heard the words that came from Sharpness.

“I— Where were you? You know that I waited, right? You could’ve said that you were not going to come at all.” The blond started to get emotional, even hurt. After getting a quick glace at his teammate’s shiny eyes he caught that they were weepy. Sharpness was tearing up—right in front of him.

This time Jude felt surprised. Surprised that he had somebody waiting at home for him. Somebody who understood him and wouldn’t judge him for his feelings. He realised that he can’t keep all these thoughts only to himself anymore. He shouldn’t, it doesn’t feel right. Maybe he only fully apprehended these feelings a couple hours ago, but they were here—in his heart, from the first time he looked at his teammate—the first time somebody was actually nice to him. Sharpness was the first person on the server who actually saw him as somebody who’s teammate-worthy. He never felt like this with anybody. Keeping all this only to himself meant that he would only hurt both of them. Sharpness had a right to know. He had a right to know that Jude doesn’t only want to be teammates. He wants to be everything more than just a teammate. He just didn’t know how to fully express that with words yet.

“I—” Jude went on to say something— anything, but his body gave up on him. He shyly looked away, trying to hide the redness of his face. He was so close to pulling his ears out. And Sharpness only got more emotional—maybe even slightly mad.

“Can you even look at me properly in the eyes while talking to me?” Sharpness explained angrily, still both tearing up and stumbling over his own words. That sentence alone sparked something in Jude. He couldn’t take silence as his own answers anymore. He fully turned to look at Sharpness, and this time he didn’t care if he was staring.

“No, I can’t for God’s sake! I can do anything but that— it’s so fucking painful.”

“W-What?” Sharpness stuttered out the question.

“It hurts looking at your eyes. They are so beautiful it fucking hurts.” Jude explained.

“What are you even saying..?” The swordmaster was whispering words out now, face hinting with a light colour of pink.

“I— I’m saying that I like you Sharp— Love you even. Ever since you fell into one of my stupid traps I’ve admired you, I’ve admired everything about you. I can’t even breathe properly when you are not near me and staring at your stupid dazzling emerald green eyes makes it all even worse. Fucking Spongs even gave me advice for this shit because I was so completely hopeless. I can’t keep doing this— keeping all these feelings to myself. It doesn’t feel right— And I know you probably don’t even feel the same but I just thought–”

At the time Jude wanted to keep going, finally saying the right things for once in his life. But it seemed like Sharpness had other plans. Before Jude could finish expressing his words out, he felt a slight contact on his lips. Sharpness was— kissing him?  Whatthefuck. Whatthefuck. Whatthefuck. Jude couldn’t think straight for at least five seconds before the blond pulled himself away. Shit.

“I– Jude I– ” Sharpness went on to say some excuse, but the trapper didn’t care anymore. With absolutely no thoughts in mind he pulled the swordmaster by the waist and closed the distance between them. Their first kiss was abrupt, short, awkward. The second one wasn’t. Their second kiss was everything Jude dreamt of for weeks on end. He lowered himself to get into better position, not wanting to lose even one second because of his teammate’s height.

They were now stumbling over their own feet, almost forcing a few potions out of their brewers. “Careful, princess.” Jude said while Sharpness was heavily breathing underneath him, all flushed from the kiss. Finally getting to some wall, Jude was now towering over Sharpness, breaking their kiss only to catch a look at the blond and a few breaths, before going at it again. With Sharpness letting out a few noises every once in a while when Jude would go all through his hair it looked like the trapper would never get enough of this— enough of Sharpness.

When Jude realised they were now kissing for ten minutes straight he broke their contact, wanting to make sure if Sharpness was okay.

“You okay, Sharp?” Jude asked. Sharpness was still breathing heavily, his lips all swollen from the kiss. Gosh, Jude did that, he did that.

“Yeah— I think I’m okay..” Sharpness got out while still being accompanied by Jude’s hands. And truly, Jude had no problem holding his blond the whole day if he had to. At this point he would do anything Sharpness told him. He was that far gone, that far in love

“You know you can be honest with me, right?” The trapper asked, only to make sure if Sharpness was a hundred precent sure if he liked him back. Because this really was feeling like a fever dream to Jude. A dream he definitely didn’t want to even stop dreaming.

“Yeah, I’m positive. I um– I really enjoyed the kiss..” Sharpness murmured shyly, blushing.

“Oh yeah?” Jude smirked. Sharpness only turned his view away from Jude, embarrassed.

“Oh come on. I’m kidding with you, princess.” Jude spoke out, clutching onto Sharpness’ jaw, making the swordmaster look at him. “You know that I really actually like you, huh?” The trapper expected no response, only wanting to make known that Jude liked his teammate for real, that he wasn’t joking.

“I like you too, Jude.” Sharpness delivered, all smiley and still all red. The swordmaster could be described as the biggest extrovert to ever exist on Strength, but all that suddenly disappears after he gets kissed by no one other then the most popular trapper on the server. In front of Jude, Sharpness can only blush, get embarrassed and start stuttering his sentences out, all at the same time. It looks like Jude wasn’t going through all these feelings alone.

Jude grinned while gently holding the swordmaster’s face. He no longer felt ashamed for liking his teammate, but more felt grateful. Grateful that he pushed himself—or more his feelings pushed him to get to where he is now.

“So,” The trapper disclosed.

“So…” Sharpness answered back energetically, with the biggest smile Jude had recognised yet.

“So, can I perhaps, princess, maybe be your boyfriend?” Jude asked in confidence still watching his soon to be partner carefully. He couldn’t believe that this was it, that this day was going to be the one where he finally found somebody who he can love, laugh with and to fall asleep with.

“Hey! No fair, I have no cute nicknames I can call you.” Sharpness purposefully dodged the question, now laughing. He was very obviously saying yes to Jude’s question even though it wasn’t said.

“You can call me anything,” The trapper started, closing more of their proximity. “You can call me yours.” Jude smiled, before he went to kiss Sharpness again.
