If you told Amity when she was younger that her mother was a terrible parent. She wouldn't believe you. She would say that its normal to be told not to have dinner. That its normal to be punished. But younger Amity also knows that a parent doesn't hit they're child. But it's alright to hit your kids if they need to be punished! Then you have a reason too! Kids have to be punished!

Amity just walked in and her mother was waiting for her at the door. Her mother was angry. Really angry.
"Amity. I heard you lost a witches duel against a human. I also heard. You cheated! How dare you put your family in this kind of shame."
"I'm sorry mother."
"An apology won't cut it! Go to your room. No dinner tonight."
Amity simply just nodded. Her mother scoffed.
"Use your words dear."
"Yes mother."
"Chop chop, go upstairs."
Amity turned herself around and started walking up the stairs.
When she almost reached the door of her room her siblings appeared.
"Mittens!"
"Ed, Em."
"Soooo.....We heard you were a little rebellious today! Finally got out of your 'Perfect student phase'?"
Amity avoided them.
"Ugh, that seems like a no. Anyways bye Mittens! Till dinner!"
Em and Ed laughed. They knew she wasn't getting dinner tonight. It was a totally normal punishment. They were laughing at her because she got punished.
Amity pushed them aside and walked to her room.
Her head hurt from the lack of sleep.
But she couldn't sleep.
She had to study.

Amity and her mother were standing in the living room. Glaring at each other. Anger was written over Odalia's face. While Amity looked scared.
"You had this perfect opportunity! You could've been grom queen! And you gave up your role for this human?" Odalia said the word human with such disgust.
"But i was grom queen too!"
"I don't care that you were grom queen too! You could've done this yourself!" Odalia's screaming made Amity flinch.
"No! No, i couldn't."
"And why is that Amity?"
"I can't show my fear! Its too embarrassing." Amity hugged herself.
"Embarrassing?! Amity! You're a Blight! Your fear can't be that embarrassing that you need a human to defeat grom for you!"
"With me! She defeated grom with me! Not for me."
"Really? With you? Thats how you see it? The only way i see it is that you couldn't do it on your own!"
"I-I'm sorry mother."
"Oh now we apologize. Your not getting away so easily. No dinner for two days. And your stopping your relationship with that human."
"But...I-I can't! She- I can't leave her like that!" Tears were streaming down Amity's face.
"I don't care! Do what i say! I birthed you! Also stop crying! You look pathetic."
"Please. Mom please. I-I can't leave Luz." Why would she leave the person who saved her.
"I'm done with this behavior! Go to your room. No meals for 3 days!"
Amity's crying stopped immediately. It was only going to worsen the more she kept begging.
"Yes mother."
"Go to your room."
"Yes mother."
Amity started walking to the stairs. To her room. To her door. To her bed.
She fell on her bed. Her stomach was already screaming. She hadn't had sleep in days. She hadn't had food in days. A few weeks ago she would've blamed Luz. Screamed about the stupid human. But Luz was now the only thing keeping her going. One of the only things that made her smile. One of the only things that made her laugh. One of the only things that made her blush. She loved her. She loved Luz. She loved someone. She loved a human. And she was happy with it. Although, Luz just thinks they're friends. And thats not gonna change.

Luz blushed back at her. She didn't care that her mother was mad. Luz loved her too! Or maybe Luz didn't love her. Maybe Luz was just embarrassed, or angry. Amity blushed when she was embarrassed or angry maybe Luz just did that too.
"Amity!" Her mother called her from her work room.
"Amity! Come here right now!" Odalia was mad. That was the only thing Amity thought as she walked to her mother's room
The second that Amity was in the room Odalia began to scream at her.
Odalia picked up a broken pendant and showed it to Amity.
"Did you know how much money this cost!" Odalia threw the pendant across the room causing it to crack even more. Amity flinched at the sound of the pendant hitting the wall.
Odalia looked at Amity. Amity didn't look back, she just stared at the floor.
"Look at me when i'm talking to you!"
Almost in an instant Amity's head snapped back up.
"First this morning you mess everything up! And now this. Seriously Amity that human is making you lose control."
That was when Amity's expression and body posture changed.
"Don't you dare talk about Luz that way!"
Amity was screamed at Odalia.
"Amity!"
Amity's attention snapped back towards Odalia.
"Are you screaming at me?"
Amity stayed quiet.
"You broke something. And you're screaming at me?! How dare you! Seriously. I don't see why your lacking out. I give you a roof. I give you food-"
"No you don't."
"What?"
"You forbid us from getting dinner as a punishment."
Odalia didn't say anything. Instead her hand raised. In a flash it came down hitting Amity's cheek. Amity's hand raised to her cheek in an instant. Her eyes were full of surprise.
"Don't talk to me like that young lady. I need to raise you and your siblings. And not having dinner is a fitting punishment. That slap was for lacking out. If you do anything rebellious again. It'll get worse."
Amity couldn't say anything because of how surprised she was. Her mother just hit her.
"Now go to your room. I would get you a new necklace, but you're just going to break that again. I'll find something else. Now go to your room."
Amity nodded and turned around. She practically ran to her room.

"Mom? Where's dad? Don't we test projects with him?"
Odalia stood to the side of the stage. A nasty look was on her face.
"Oh, He's still working mittens. I'm sure he doesn't mind us testing together."
Odalia walked up to the stage. She walked towards Amity.
"Mom? Where's the abomination we usually test with?"
Odalia was standing right in front of Amity. Amity was confused. Really confused. What was going too happen?
"I thought you needed a punishment for dyeing your hair that ridiculous color."
Odalia flicked Amity's hair. Her newly dyed purple hair. The purple hair that her siblings warned her for that her mother would hate. Odalia's hand raised upwards. Was she going to hit her again? Please don't- Instead Odalia flicked Amity's hair. Then Odalia walked away from her picking up a weapon from the wall with weapons. Wait? Did she say punishment before? Why would she...Amity connected the dots in her head. Punishment.
"Wait, punishment? Are you...No! Wait!"
It was all a blur. The weapon was fired and Amity flew backwards. Her shoulder hurt. Her shoulder hurt so much. Sobs and screams came out of her mouth. It hurt. Make it stop! Please! Her shoulder burnt. Her mother wasn't even helping her.
Two Abomatons grabbed her by her shoulders. She screamed out when one of the Abomaton's grip tightened around her shoulder.
"Carry her to outside of this factory."
The Abomatons carried her to her room. Slowly she got out of the factory. When she was out the Abomatons threw her to the ground. Tears were still streaming down her face. She looked at the wound, really looked. Her clothes were burned. Her whole shoulder had this giant burn wound on it. And it hurt. Who was a healer that could come here quickly? She got out her scroll, and started calling Em.
"Sis?" Em sounded worried Amity called her.
"Mom wasn't happy with my new hair."
"Oh, why didn't you just come to my room to talk? Did she forbid you from coming out of your room?" Em was confused.
"No."
"Then what did she do? Why are you calling me?"
"She- I- Can you just get to the outside of the factory? Bring a Medkit."
"Factory? Medkit?!"
"I'll explain when you get here."
Amity hung up the phone. She didn't want to explain to Em what had happened. That would hurt to much.
She walked towards a wall of the factory. She leaned on the wall with her head and fell down the wall. Now just to wait.
After a few minutes Em and Ed came running towards the factory. They were frantically looking around for Amity. When their eyes landed on Amity they looked horrified. Em ran to her the second she saw the wound while Ed took a little longer to run to her.
"Mittens! What happened! O my titan!"
"What the hell did she do!"
Emira started healing Amity using the Medkit to bandage her wounds. Edric was acting like her assistant
"You're gonna be okay. Were gonna heal you. You're gonna be fine."
Em and Ed had both started crying. The pain in Amity's shoulder had died down a bit because of the healing magic. But it still hurt.
"I'm carrying you to the manor." Edric looked determined
"It's my shoulder i can stand myself." Amity rolled her eyes.
"Nope. You are not standing yourself. I'm a healer and i'm saying it. Edric's carrying you."
"Fine."
Edric picked her up and carried her to the manor.

Amity's injury broke her perfect school record. Em and Ed had insisted Amity didn't go to school today because of her injuries. And her mother had agreed to this because of Palisman adoption day. Her mother hated palisman. Because the emperor didn't accept them.
Em and Ed suddenly burst into her room.
"Mittens! We got you a palisman!"
"What? A palisman? How'd you?"
Edric grabbed Amity by her good arm.
"We'll tell you later! Come on!"
Amity let out a little yelp as Edric dragged her along.
"We didn't want you to be tired because of school, but getting a palisman can't make you tired."
Eventually Ed and Em had dragged Amity to Hexside.
The Grudgby field had a palisman nest in the middle. Principal Bump was standing next to the nest. The bat queen landed on top of the palisman nest.
"All you have to do is state your deepest wish."
The bat queen handed Amity a staff. On top of the staff was a cat palisman.
"I- Okay."
"I-I wanna be head of the abomination coven!"
The palisman didn't react.
"I Wanna be a great author like mildred featherwhyle!"
Still the palisman didn't react.
"Blight. I sense you do not mean these things. What do you want."
"I-I don't know what i wanna be when i grow up. But i wanna chose the path myself."
That was all the palisman needed before turning out of its staff form. The Palisman moved and rubbed their head against Amity's leg.
"My name is Ghost!"
The cat Palisman so happily said.
"Ghost? That sounds so beautiful."
Amity rubbed her soft hand through Ghost's fur.
"Thank you bat queen."
"No need to thank me young one. Take care of little one for me."
"Of course Bat queen!"
That probably meant: Keep Ghost away from Odalia, because Odalia will probably kill Ghost because Odalia loves the emperor.

Amity was doing her homework.
"Amity!"
Her siblings burst through the door for the second time this week.
"Will you ever learn how to knock?"
"No but...We thought you needed something to replace that old necklace of yours!"
Ed held up a crescent moon necklace.
"Oh! Thank you guys!"
"No problem! We also got you a concealment stone!"
Edric held up a concealment stone in his other hand.
Why would they get her a concealment stone?
"Oh...That- Thanks?"
"We got you a concealment stone because that shoulder injury will probably leave a scar."
Oh.
"Yeah! You should be free to wear sleeveless dresses!"
Emira shot an angry glare at Edric.
"Or shirts!"
Emira snatched both the concealment stone and necklace from Edric's hands. Then she gave them too Amity.
"Here try them on!"
Amity tried on the crescent moon necklace. Nothing happened. That actually made Amity calm. There won't be her mother talking to her via necklace anymore. That felt good.
Amity then tried on the concealment stone. A little illusion smoke came up on her shoulder.
"Thanks you guys!"
Amity jumped up from her chair and gave Emira and Edric a big hug. They both hugged back. A little less tight though. They needed to watch out for her arm.
"Awww. Do you love us?"
"Yes."
"Edric did you get that on record! She said she loved us!"
"No. Sadly i didn't."
Edric wiped away a fake tear.
"Of course i love you guys. What makes you think i don't?"
"She said it again!"
"This time i did get it on record!"
Both Edric and Emira pulled themselves out of the hug. They did a little cheer before running out of the room.

Amity was walking through the halls of Blight manor when her mother appeared behind her.
"Kikimora came to me today."
Amity's heart felt like it had stopped beating for a second.
"She told me you were a little fire starter. That you attacked a coven member!"
"I-I didn't attack him! I was only defending myself!"
"Him?"
Oh no. Her mother didn't know of her fight with the golden guard yet. She would kill her if she found out.
"You attacked two coven members?"
"I- Yes."
Odalia threw both her hand in the air.
"Yes! Of course you did! You're coming with me young lady."
Odalia grabbed Amity by her ear. Odalia's nails pressed into Amity's ear. Blood dripped down her ear.
Odalia dragged Amity down the hall.
"Mom! Please stop! That hurts!"
In response Odalia's nails dug deeper in Amity's skin.
"Oh, don't beg Amity. It makes you seem weak."
Eventually Odalia had dragged Amity out of the manor. An Abomaton stood there.
"Bring her to Blight factory."
The Abomaton grabbed Amity by her waist and lifted her up from the ground.
Amity tried getting out of the Abomaton's grip, but it was too strong.
"Wait no! Please don't hurt me again!"
Odalia scoffed.
"You should've thought of that before attacking a coven member."
The Abomaton turned around and walked towards Blight factory. Odalia probably following behind.
Eventually they reached the Blight factory. Odalia commanded that the Abomaton set Amity down. Amity's instinct told her too run. But that would only make things worse.
Odalia walked towards the wall of weapons.
"Wait please! I'm sorry!"
"Are you Mittens?"
"Yes! I- Of course I am!"
"Do you really think I believe that lie?"
Odalia picked a weapon from the wall of weapons. The weapon looked like an axe. It was an axe.
"Now I really need you to stop with this rebellious act. Can you do that for me?"
Odalia walked closer to Amity the axe still wielded in her hands.
"Yes! Yes of course mother! I- I'll stop!"
"So you'll cut your relationship off with those pesky poor people?"
Amity stayed quiet. She couldn't cut out Luz from her life.
"I see that as a no."
Odalia brought the axe in the air. Amity's hands raised to her head in an instant. But instead of going for her head the axe went for her chest. The pain went from her right shoulder to her left hip. Her clothes were also torn. Amity screamed out in pain. She fell to her knees and hands. Tears streamed down her face landing on the ground.
"And what about now Amity?"
Amity couldn't talk. The only thing she thought about was her pain. Sobs and screams were the only thing she could get out of her mouth.
"Answer me."
Amity didn't even hear half of the things Odalia was saying.
"I hope you learned your lesson."
Odalia walked out of the Blight factory leaving Amity all alone.
A pool of crimson red blood pooled on the ground. Her blood was pooling on the ground. She called Em. But the blood loss was getting to her and Em hadn't picked up yet. Her vision went blurry. Her eyelids were heavy. Everything went dark.

"Amity? Wake up!"
Someone was shaking her shoulders. Amity opened her eyes. It was Em. Em was shaking her shoulders. She looked around the room to see she. was in her own room. A bandage covered her chest. Her chest still burned.
"Em? What happened?"
"Well...I was on a date with Viney."
Emira pointed to the back of Amity's room. Viney stood there.
"And then you called. I told Viney I had to go to the bathroom but when I picked up my scroll I only saw the roof of the Blight factory. And your bloody camera."
Amity gulped.
"I guessed what happened and told Viney to bring me there as soon as possible. And then we healed you and brought you here."
"Thanks guys."
"So, anybody gonna tell me what happened?"
Both the sisters turned to Viney who had a strict expression on her face.
"Uh...Okay, Mom hurts Amity."
"What!"
"And she has been doing it since Willow, Gus and Luz got expelled."
"Oh my titan."
"She only does it to me though!" Amity adds.
"That isn't any better!"
"But I actually deserve it. Other parents do it to their children for no reason."
"I'm going to get your sister therapy Em."
"Yeah, I agree."

They were standing in the Blight factory. Again.
"I really thought your behavior changed Amity. But i guess not. Because you attacked Kikimora again!"
"I'm sorry mother."
"I don't believe you. If you were really sorry you wouldn't have attacked someone from the coven again."
"Kikimora attacked me mother. I only acted out of self defense."
"i don't care! Titan, why was I cursed with such terrible children?"
Odalia walked to the wall with weapons. Choosing one that looked rather round. It a pin on the top.
"This is a Abonade. If I pull the pin it will explode in different directions."
Odalia pulled the pin and threw it right in front of Amity. Amity practically ran backwards while keeping her eyes on the Abonade. Then the Abonade exploded and in multiple directions fire flew out. One of the fire bolts hit Amity's face. She screamed. It hurt. Tears streamed down her face. Odalia had already walked away the second she threw the Abonade.
Time to call Em again.

Amity looked at herself in the mirror. She hadn't put on her concealment stone yet. But her face had this giant scar on it. It reached from her left eye to her right cheek. Her ears were fully scarred from all the times Odalia had dragged her by her ear. Her shoulder had this huge scar on it. And her chest had this huge cut on it.
Odalia came bursting into her room.
"Amity!"
When will my family learn how to knock?
"Give me your penstagram right now!"
Did i do something?
"Now."
Amity reached in her pocket pulling out her scroll. Odalia snatched it out of her hand.
"Thank you princess."
Odalia walked out of the room. What a weird experience.
Amity got out her message thingy to message Luz.
"Mom took pensta. But were safe. Will contact. <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3"
Hopefully Luz is safe.

Em, Ed and Amity were sitting in Amity's room.
"Seriously Ed. Why'd you try to burn down the factory!"
"I wanted to protect Amity!"
"But now your in trouble!"
"I was already in trouble!"
"Can you guys just stop! I'm trying to get a message to Luz!"
"Yeah yeah we'll stop. Go message your Luz."
The way Ed and Em said your made Amity blush a bit.
"Awh! Mittens is in love!"
"Don't shout! Mom will hear you!"
The door burst open, revealing a very angry Odalia Blight.
"Mom! Speak of the devil."
"Well...Whats this about messaging people?"
"Yeah...That? Oh! Its nothing!"
Amity threw her message thingy behind her. But Odalia picked it up with her magic.
"Whats this? It looks like trash."
"Oh thats nothing! Give it back. Please?"
"No."
Odalia smashed the object into the ground making it shatter into multiple pieces.
"No!"
"Now Mittens. Go put your concealment stone on. You don't look good with your scars."
Amity didn't listen instead she threw herself on the ground, tears pricking in the corners of her eyes.
Odalia sighed.
"Em, Ed. Help her with the concealment stone won't you?"
"Yes mother."

'No but...We thought you needed something to replace that old necklace of yours!'
'Awh! Mittens is in love!'
That was all she could replay in her head as she walked towards Luz's house. Her siblings who had loved her were now gone. They were probably dead.
Hopefully Odalia was dead.
Amity would care if her father died. But...Would she really?
"Hey mom, i'm back."
Luz and her mom hugged each other. Amity would've so wanted that her mom hugged her when she was a kid. Even if only once. When Luz and Camila pulled out of their hug Camila gestured for all of them to come in. But both Hunter and Amity wouldn't budge. What if the signal meant something else in the human realm?
"Kids, come in. Please."
Amity shared a glance with Hunter before both of them walked in.

Amity had just dropped a plate. It had shattered. There was no way she could pick it all up in time. She was dead.
"Mija? What happened here?"
Camila walked into the room.
"I'm so sorry Miss Noceda! I can clean it if you want me too! I'm really sorry! Oh, I'm shouting sorry. I- Now i'm ranting."
"Doesn't matter mija. All that matters is if you're okay.
"I- What?"
Amity was genuinely confused.
"I broke a plate."
"Yes."
"And you're asking me if I'm okay?"
"Yes."
"What in titans name...Is that a human thing?"
"I hope not."
Willow walked in the room. Behind her was Hunter.
"Oh! Hi guys whatcha doing?" Willow sounded happy.
Willow stepped into the room but Camila quickly stopped her.
"Amity broke a plate. So best not step in her with your naked feet."
Amity looked down to see Willow was wearing no socks.
"Amity broke a plate?!" Hunter practically screamed.
"Yes but its okay."
"No its not!" Amity screamed back.
Amity was still very confused with whats happening. IT WAS NOT OKAY. SHE BROKE A PLATE.
"Hunter can you get me a broom?"
"She doesn't have to pick it up with her hands?"
"What?!" Willow and Camila both screamed, surprised at the same time.
"Hunter's right. Don't i need a punishment for dropping a plate. And a fitting punishment would be picking it up with my hands."
"No!" Willow and Camila were both screaming the same thing at the same time. Again.
"But-"
"No!"
Camila grabbed the bridge of her nose.
"Hunter grab a broom."
"Yes ma'am!"
Hunter did a little soldier pose before running of to get a broom.
