One bright morning Jane was over at her best friend's house like always. Jane was standing in Maura's kitchen leaning on the counter while talking. She and Maura were bickering over how to cheer Jane up. See about a week ago Jane got dumped and has yet to get over it. Maura was giving yet another solution when Angela walked in. It had been about a year Angela had been in the guest house and she has still not learned to knock. Of course as soon as Angela heard them she agreed with Maura. Then Jane spoke with a dramatic sigh "seriously? You got Ma against me now?" Maura smiled lightly "Angela and I are just concerned for you, Jane" Jane was about to speak when her phone rang. Then Maura's did too. Jane picked hers up first "Rizzoli" "Isles" they spoke one after the other. It was such a normal thing Angela could mouth it right when they said it. After a second Jane put her phone in her pocket and said with a smile "oh look, dead guy." And with that her and Maura started heading out but not before Angela spoke again. "You should really find someone else Jane..maybe even a girl this time since guys aren't working out to well." Jane and Maura laughed at that but by Angela's expression they could tell she was serious. So they quickly say bye and leave.
Meanwhile Sky was sat with her team. Agents John Winter, Scarlett Jones, Isabella Miller, and Scott David. They were all really good friends and also one of the best teams there were. They had helped and solved many cases in the very few years they've been together. They just sort of worked and it mostly was because of Sky. It was hard to hate people she liked with how highly she talked of them. Sky was sat by Isabella talking lightly with her. Then suddenly Isabella asks something "Sky, who was the last person you dated?" Sky smiled lightly push a strand of her long curly brown hair from her face before answering. "It's been awhile..I think it was a girl from high school..I don't remember her name though" Isabella nods before tilting her head slightly "and why is this the first time you've mentioned you like girls?" Sky smiles "because no one ever asked" Isabella smiles "okay fine but I'm telling everyone else." Sky nods "fine by me..who was the last person you dated?" And instantly Isabella starts rambling about a guy. Before she could get to deep into it though Sky got a call. She was basically the leader to the team so she got the call then called the others over. She informed them of the case then they got going to the crime scene.
After about a twenty minute drive Sky and her team got there. Instantly Sky noticed the Boston police and gives the others a small gesture making them stay back. Sky walks over giving them a polite nod speaking respectfully "Hello..your medical examiner not here yet?" A older man named Vince Korsak answers "she's on her way and you are?" Sky gives a small smile "Agent Rose..the others behind me are my team we were informed of the victim..we have been offered to help with her death." Korsak nods slightly "we'll let you know if we need anything." Sky gives a small nod and a soft smile "we'll be reachable when needed but until then I'll make sure we stay out of the way" and she hands him a card before returning to the others. They, as promised, stay out of the way watching from a car as Maura and Jane finally get there.
After Maura realizes she'll need to do an autopsy before she can determine cause of death Korsak remembers Sky. He turns to Jane "oh yeah and we got company..surprisingly nice company." Jane looks at him her face slightly scrunched in confusion "what?" Korsak points out Sky and her team "FBI" Jane at first groans at the thought before pausing. "What why didn't I notice them then?" Korsak smiles a bit "I told you nice company..the one with curly brown hair is Agent Rose she promised they'd stay out of the way until needed." Jane instantly looks surprised "and they have?" Korsak nods obviously just as surprised about it as Jane. Jane looks back at them her expression almost concentrated like if she stared long enough she'd be able to figure them out. But soon Sky looks up her light brown eyes locking on Jane's. Sky almost seems to freeze in place for a moment her normal soft gaze on Jane which made her freeze to. And for a long moment they stared Sky's soft eyes keeping Jane in place and Jane in general keeping Sky staring. For a moment it seemed like everything went quiet until Isabella noticed and lightly bumped Sky's arm. Instantly Sky's face turned a light pink making her light freckles appear darker and that was enough to keep Jane staring. Isabella was lightly teasing Sky when Jane finally managed to look away her own face lightly flushed. Jane tried getting focused back on the case but her mind kept drifting and it was the same for Sky.
Once Jane, Maura, Korsak, and Frankie got back to the precinct Maura went to start the autopsy. While Jane was still thinking about Sky. They didn't have a name for the victim yet so everyone was waiting for Maura. Except Nina who was searching security cameras around where she was found. But the free time let Jane think of Sky, she wondered what Sky was doing. But quickly her thinking time is interrupted as Frankie walks over. "Maura got a name, the victim is Layla Brown and Maura is pretty sure she was poisoned." Jane looks up at Frankie "pretty sure? You got Maura to guess?" Frankie laughs slightly "no there was a lot of science and forensics words I just forgot most of them." Jane smiles a bit "Alright then that's homicide now we finally have something to do." And with that Frankie went to Nina to get a background check while Jane a Korsak set up the evidence board. Jane left to go check with Maura like usual but while down there Jane's mind wandered again.
After listening to Maura ramblings about cause of death and abnormalities Jane spoke. "Hey Maura?" Instantly she looks up at her "yes Jane?" Jane speaks lightly "about what Ma said..should I try dating a girl?" Instantly a small smile appears on Maura's face "I believe you should try everything once..and if you like a girl in particular yes." Jane smiles a bit a jokes lightly "wow Maura calm down I don't have a crush on you." That makes Maura laugh before she says "no but you were staring at Agent Rose." Jane shakes her head a bit "I'm thinking about it don't mess with my judgment." Maura laughs again "she seems nice Jane that's all I'm saying." And with that Maura went back to work and Jane went back to the others with a small smile.
Meanwhile Sky was walking around town with her team. After a few minutes they found a place to eat call the Dirty Robber..weird name but they went in anyway. The place was honestly cool and unbeknownst to them Jane's mom worked there. Angela didn't know them but when Sky ordered in her sweet tone Angela instantly loved her. They talked for a long while after ordering to the point Angela was basically sat with them. Sky honestly had a lot in common with Jane it made Angela get an idea. So Angela texted Jane telling her to come to the Dirty Robber after work. Which she agreed to since everyone was already coming anyway. And with that Angela convinced Sky to come back later when she was off duty. Which Sky agreed to because she honestly liked talking to Angela. And with Angela's plan in motion all she had to do now it wait.
