Chapter Text
The Hotel was doing great. Sinners are checking in, Alastor was okay, and Vaggi even changed her name! Now only if the founder herself was doing alright……..
Charlie was…Not okay. But eventually, she managed to get herself out of bed and clean up all of the used tissues that were practically covering every inch of her and Vaggi’s shared bedroom. After that she ate the food that Vaggie left for her (Alastor made it). She took a well needed shower and donned on her usual white shirt and red suit.
But despite all of this, she still felt like shit. She really missed him.
She doesn’t really understand what happened, he just decided to move out after everything and it broke her oh so fragile heart.
It was almost like how she felt about Pentious before she found out about his redemption. Only except instead of being dead he’s still alive, and instead of being in heaven he’s with…you know what maybe she should try and take her mind off of this. She has a hotel to run damnit!
She spouts out encouraging words to herself while fixing her hair in the mirror. “You’re okay Charlie, you can do this” “ We will make sure he’s okay and bring him back here where it’s safe” “Hell, we can throw a whole party when that happens ooh and make his favorite dessert……uh if I can find the recipe”.
Once she’s done she feels a lot better than she did several hours ago. So with her newfound courage fueling her, she makes her way downstairs where the others are waiting.

Kris and Susie were very confused. One minute they’re about to head out of Castle Town for the festival and saying goodbye to Ralsei. The next a weird portal opened up and swallowed all three of them. And for some reason they were in their light world attire looking at a red sky with a giant pentagram in it. EVEN WORSE RALSEI IS MISSING! THEY DONT SEE HIM ANYWHERE!
“Okay dude, I’m starting to panic a bit here.” Susie said. “Like, this seems like the perfect to to say, uh, ya know.”
Time froze a bit around Kris and Jabbs (who can only be heard and seen by them) as it naturally does when text box appears. It read :
Say it now. ❤️ No no, save it for later
“What d’ya think about this one chat?” The affromentioned SOUL said.
“First of all : don’t call me that. Second of all : tell her to save it, I have a feeling it’ll be funnier.” The human inquired.
“Whatever you say. K” She chose second option and Kris repeated the words to their friend.
“If you say so Kris.” She said with a smirk on her face (“Why’d they say it so sternly like that. Must be planning something”)
“Anyways, what should we do right now. I mean the people here don’t look too nice.”
“Hmm” Kris thought. They began to look around until they eventually spot a building that looks sort of like a big fancy hotel. “Maybe we can do there for a bit. Looks like a hotel.” They mumble
“Huh?” She turns to where they’re looking as the hotel comes into her view. “ Oh, yeah, that looks like somewhere we can stay for a bit. Maybe someone could even help us find Ralsei! C’mon Kris let’s go!” She says as she quite literally drags them towards the hotel.

The pair make their way in the building hoping to not cause much trouble (well Jabbs is) and to find someone who can help them out with their situation. But as they make their way through eyes start to fall on them. More specifically on Kris.
(“Ugh, I hate the way everyone’s starting at me” ) they thought.
Jabbs (now small, sitting on their shoulder) wanting to ease them says “Try not to think about it that way. These monsters probably havnt seen a human before”.
(“…………….yeah maybe………but it’s really times like these where I wish I didn’t stand out so much”.)
“Hey, don’t say that about yourself. I like you the way you are. Susie likes you the way you are. Ralsei likes you the way you are. You should be proud of that. We wouldn’t want you to change at all”.
The compliment falls on deaf ears, but they take it anyway. (“Thanks”.)
“Anytime K-dog”.
“The hell are these guys problem” Susie whispered to Kris. “I don’t really like how they keep staring at you.”
Kris doesn’t respond to this but is touched by how Susie noticed.
The two keep marching side by side until the reach the front desk where the see two people.
One of them was short and moth-like with long hair, a red bow in the back of it, and an X in front of her left eye. She was standing behind the desk.
The other was taller and more human-like (Kris was a little taken aback by that) and had her in hair in a ponytail and wore a red suit.
They seemed to be in the middle of a conversation until they spot the unusual duo…………and start to stare right at Kris like everyone else.
This unsurprisingly makes them feel even more uncomfortable, and makes Susie more annoyed.
“Hey, uh, Vaggi, am I uh seeing things or something heh?” The tall woman questioned.
“Uh, mmmaybe Alastor did put something in our food” “Vaggi” the two guessed, said, as she squinted at Kris.
This only causes them to feel MORE uncomfortable and start to curl in on themselves, and pisses Susie off even more.
She steps in front of them as a way to try and shield them and spits out “Hey, what the hells your problem. What’s so special about Kris that you gotta stare at them like that?”
Kris doesn’t say anything but appreciates Susie sticking up for them. They’re about as annoyed by this as their friend is, only too shy to say anything. And the eyes on them aren’t helping.
Upon hearing that, the tall woman quickly composes herself and try’s to apologize “Oh-oh OH, I-im sooo soooo sorry a-about that. I didn’t mean to make your friend here uncomfortable, I-it’s just tha-“
“HOW IN THE NAME OF HELL IS A HUMAN HERE!”

Charlie was very confused as to what’s going on.
She just made it downstairs to the lobby to greet the guests and the staff. A loud “Sup, Bitch! I see you’re doing better.” From Cherri, a little “Hi Charlie” from Niffty and “Hello Charlie” Baxter, a “How’s it going Princess” from Husk, and a “Nice to see you in a better mood my dear Charlie” from Alastor.
She had yet to see her dad but didn’t think much of it. He was probably still in his room with all of his rubber duckies. She knew she’d see him soon.
She was making her way to the front desk where Vaggi was working, and went in for a “HIIIII VAGGI!” As she gave her a huge hug, literally pulling her over the desk.
“WHOA, uh, hey there babe. Haha, what’s got you all excited right now?”
“Oh, I won’t lie, I’m still a bit messed up with Angel leaving and stuff, but I can’t just sulk in our room forever you know, and I’m just super glad that Alastor is back safe here, and the fact we have a hole bunch of sinners to redeem here and- uh” her eyes fall on an unsual sight. A human. Or at least she thinks it is. She never really knew what a human looked like but from what she could tell, they sure look like what she imagined them to look like. They had dark hair covering their eyes, tan skin and wore a green sweater with a yellow stripe on it.
Next to them was a sinner no doubt. She had hair that was also a bit dark but longer. She was reptilian like and wore a purple jacket over a white shirt. Charlie also noted her outfit had some tears and rips in it.
As they got closer, the hotel owner says “Hey, uh, Vaggi, am I uh seeing things or something heh?” as she glanced at her partner.
The angel replies with “Uh, mmmaybe Alastor did put something in our food”.
Charlie didn’t believe that but didn’t want to argue about it with her.
But after she says that the purple sinner stands if front of the “human” and says “Hey, what the hells your problem. What’s so special about Kris that you gotta stare at them like that?”
Now realizing that she was staring, Charlie quickly tries to apologize “Oh-oh OH, I-im sooo soooo sorry a-about that. I didn’t mean to make your friend here uncomfortable, I-it’s just tha-“
“HOW IN THE NAME OF HELL IS A HUMAN HERE!”
Oh great, dad’s here.
Charlie turned around to see her dad pointing his cane at the human.
“YOU, are not supposed to be here.” He said
He pointed his cane at Susie “And neither are you”.
The purple girl started speaking again “Well I mean ye-“.
“Wait wait wait”. Vaggie cut her off. “I get the first kid, they’re obviously a human. But what about her, she’s not a sinner?” She asked.
“Sinner? W-what the hell is goi-“ The human was tugging her arm and then whispered something in her ear. “Oh, uh, okay then.” She took a deep breath and then yelled “GOD FUCKING DAMNIT KRIS WHERE THE FUCK ARE WE?”
This startled everyone in the room and even caught Alastor’s attention, Charlie noted.
The human “Kris” started snickering as the girl than started laughing heavily before composing and asking “N-no but seriously, uh where are we? And uh what’s going on?”

They all moved to the lounge room of the hotel, away from the prying eyes. It had a big U- shaped couch that everyone settled into. Kris and Susie sat next to each other in a corner, further from everyone else.
“Okay” the lady with the suite said. “Let’s start with introductions. “My name is Charlie. I am the owner of this establishment. This here is my Girlfriend, Vaggi.” She gestured to the one with the X over her eye. “Over there is Husk” the cat looking guy with wings “ Those two are Nifty and Baxter” the tiny red one with one eye and the angler fish guy. “That’s Cherri Bomb” the one with the sick ponytail. “That there is Alastor” the tall red one with the freaky (cool freaky) smile. “And that’s my dad” the one with the white hat and cane. “ So,what are your names?” She asked
“Okay then. My name is Susie, and this here is Kris. They don’t talk much.” They nodded as she said this.
“Well, it’s nice to meet you Susie and Kris. As to where you are, um uh, you’re in Hell.”
(“……… you know what, that makes sense actually “) Kris thought.
“Yeah, I can believe it too” Their souls added.
It was now Susie’s turn to speak “ Yeah, I can see that actually. That makes sense.”
“Wow, you guys really do share the same brain cell”
(“Shut up”)
“Uhh, that doesn’t surprise you two?” The cat guy, Husk, said
“Hmm, nah, we’ve already seen some pretty hellish things. Going to actual hell doesn’t really surprise us I guess.” Susie answered “What I am surprised about is the fact that people aren’t…suffering in pools of lava or some shit? And doesn’t the devil like, live here or something?”
“The devil huh?” Charlie’s dad said. “Well congratulations, your talking to him Sally. Although I do prefer Lucifer. Or Lu, that’s faster.”
Kris and Susie bothe stared at him in a bit of confusion. “‘…So you’re the devil, from the Bible…?”
Before he could say anything, the tall red one, Alastor, suddenly appeared behind the pair spooking them a bit “Yes I know” His voice sounded like he was talking from a speaker or something “It is quite hard to believe that he is the King.” Lucifer rolled his eyes at that, “Hey nobody was talking to you, bellhop.”
“Can you like, not do that please?” Kris mumbled
“Yeah, and why does your voice sound like that? It’s like your speaking from a speaker.” Susie asked
“Oh, that’s just because he likes radio so much.” Vaggi said “They don’t call him the Radio Demon for nothing.”
Kris immediately thought about their dad at the topic of radio.
“I can see that” Jabbs told them.
Than Susie piped up “Radio? Isn’t that for old people?”
Alastor’s smile strained a bit at that comment. “See, nobody cares about boaring old radio anymore.” The king spoke
Alastor spat back “I let it slide this once. You two young children probably haven’t any idea of the better medium of radio. But insult it again and I won’t be so forgiving.” As he said that his antlers grew in size and the shadows darkened around him.
Before Charlie and Vaggi could berate him for threatening children, Kris just stared at him blankly while Susie started laughing in his face, making his smile strain even more “HA, was that your attempt at being scary. Kris and I have seen way scarier stuff man.”
Instead of indulging even more, Alastor simply made his way back next to Husk (who shuffled over a bit) on the couch. “Okay, okay then, so like aside from you” she pointed at Lucifer “ and you since he’s your dad” she than pointed at Charlie “ you all died and went to hell?”
“Mmmm, yeah that’s pretty much it.” It was Cherri’s turn to talk now. “We all fucked up in life and now we’re down here as demons with freaky cool powers and shit.” She demonstrated by making a bomb and launching it out of the window causing a massive explosion outside.
“WOAH, THATS AWESOME!”
“Heh, I know.”
“Yeah we did baaaaaad things to end up here. Veeerrrryy bad things hehe.” Nifty said with a smile.
“Hey now” Vaggi started “I don’t think you should swear in front of children.”
Kris decided to speak up on that “Pffft, don’t worry about it, we like swearing.” They high-fived Susie for that one. “Yeah, I mean did you not hear me say “fuck” eairler?”
“I think I’m gonna like having you two bitches around than.” Cherri said
“Haha hell yeah, right back at ya bitch!” Susie laughed. Cherri went over and gave her high-five.
“I- uh, okay then” Charlie stuttered. “Oh and also Vaggi isn’t a sinner, she’s actually an angel from Heaven.”
“Woah, really?”
“Yeah, it’s a long story. Don’t wanna get into it though. I like it here better anyways.”
“I can see why, this place is nice, and you even got a girlfriend too. I just hope we can find a way home.”
An option came up it said:
Talk about home ❤️ Bring up Ralsei
“Shit, I forgot about Ralsei.” Jabbs said
“Pick the second option, maybe the’ll help us out with finding him.”
She smiled and nodded, than picked the option. Kris said “We also got separated from our friend when we got here. Do you think you can help us find him?”
“Oh yea, almost forgot about him. Must be scared and confused out there. He looks like a goat with fluffy fur and green glasses.”
Charlie spoke up “ Of course we’ll help you find your friend, and a way back home, Right dad.”
“Of course sweetie. The library has tons of spell books, maybe we can find one that can send you guys home.”
“Sweet, thanks, a lot really.”
“It’s no problem, and until then you two can stay here, in the hotel where it’s safe.” Charlie summons a pair of hotel keys and hands them out to the duo. “Here are you room keys, your rooms should be on the next floor and the keys will have the room number on them.”
The human and monster stared at each other for a minute, than smiled. Susie took only one key. “That’s okay, we can share a room. C’mon Kris let’s go to bed, we’ll find Ralsei tomorrow.”
Charlie was about to protest and give Kris the other key, but then Susie got up from the couch and hauled Kris over her shoulder like a sack of rice, and made her way to the elevator. “ Night guys” Kris simply responded with a thumbs up, reassuring them that this is normal.
After that display, the room was quiet for a bit until Lucifer decided to break the silence. “Well, those two seem fun, anyways time to look for some books.”

Meanwhile, in a different part of the pentagram, lies a fluffy, confused goat boy.
“Why hello there.” He heard someone. He looked around until he was face to face with some sort of moth person. He had a purple head with red eyes a big hat and heart shaped glasses (Ralsei liked them) and a long black and white antenna, he wore a dark blue v-neack suit with a golden heart shaped belt and white pants. He also has a pair of big wings around his back and some fluff on his neck with heart designs on it. He was very tall, practically towering over him.
“Oh, uh, hello there mister. M-my name is Ralsei, and I think I’m a bit lost.” He squeaked
“Lost huh?” He lends one (of four Ralsei notes) of his arms to help him up.
“Y-yes, and thank you.” He said as he stood. I was with my friends and than this portal swallowed us up, and than I ended up here.”
“Hmmm I’ll believe it, there’s no way someone as adorable and innocent as you could ever end up here.”
“Aww, thank you.” He blushed a bit at the compliment. “But um, where exactly is here?”
“Perhaps it would be better if I brought you home with me to explain a few things and get you cleaned up. How about it pequeña cabra?”
Ralsei thought about his options. It was either go with this random man who found him on the street, who’s offering him a safe place to go to and possibly help him find Susie and Kris, or wonder aimlessly for who know how long in a probably unsafe environment.
“Uh, okay, I’ll go with you. Thank you for helping me out uh-“
“Valentino, and please, the pleasure is all mine.”
Val lifted him up, and carried him on his shoulder, on his way back to V-Tower.
