Current Soul families- Kim family-- Seokjin, Taehyung, Jimin, Jeongguk
In the year 4620 Kim Seokjin was born into the facility, by a nameless women who had given her life to providing the next generation of children. Between the ages for 0 and 2 Seokjin was cared for by a nurse in a nursery, and from 2 to 18 in the facility education system with the offerings of traditional subjects as well as dance and music of all types; he was encouraged to make friends amongst the year group and to take as many different subjects as possible. At 18 Kim Seokjin left the facility and headed to the mandatory university stage in which you’re meant to meet at least one of your soul family members and if you’re lucky you’re soul mate. Kim Seokjin was considered to be one of the unlucky ones, meeting some of his soul-family, Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung, in his 1st year after graduating in food science and one of his soulmates Jeon Jeongguk two years after that.
"Did you hear?"
Kim Seokjin placed down the cooking book he was currently reading in favor of looking at one of the 3 members in his soul family. "Jimin, what have I said about slamming the door?"
The smaller boy rolled his eyes, bouncing over to the broad shouldered man as he dumped the black gym bag he was carrying on the floor. "Hyung that's not important right now! There's a new dance teacher."
It wasn’t that Seokjin, Jin to his friends, didn’t love listening to his soul bonds days but it seemed that Jimin got a new teacher every other week. "That's nice dear."
Jimin ignored the dry comment from Jin, "He's from the facility."
"But that's..impossible. Facility teachers don't go to university they are trained and kept." The older man stuttered, his brown eyes bulging.
The smile on Jimins face expanded, "Until now."
Kim Taehyung was clever even if he lacked the common sense gene, so when he walked into the dance studio to find that their old teacher had been replaced with a tall slender man usually he would have accepted that fact and started stretching, but that was before the persistent pulling of in his little finger.
"Tae..." Jimin looked over at the taller boy and examined his star-struck face.
Taehyung all but ignored the other boy in favour of stepping closer to the new teacher. "It's him. It has to be Jimin..."
But before Jimin could say a word the gangly teacher coughed gaining the attention of the whole room. "Hello my name is Hoseok. I am your teacher for this term. I wish you all the best."
The rest of the room bowed towards the teacher,
"Is it true you're from the facility?" The boy standing at the back asked the question that the rest of them wished they had to balls to ask.
The teacher- Hoseok- just smiled. "And to warm up..."
2 hours later the pair found themselves sliding down on the of studio walls in exhaustion:
"Jesus.." Jimin groaned, pushing the bangs away from his forehead before downing a bottle of water.
Taehyung did exactly the same, sliding with a groan."Oh god."
"Hard work?" The pair looked up to see The majestic teacher standing over them in all his sweaty glory.
"Oh, teacher...." The two boys straightened up as best they could against the wall to bow.
The teacher smiled down, offering a hand to the boys which only Jimin accepted. “Please call me Hoseok."
Tae bowed his head slightly before turning towards the door of the near vacant studio. "Uhmmm I have to.."
"Wait.” Hoseok grabbed his elbow, passing him a piece of paper. “here take my number."
Tae traced his fingers lightly over the numbers before he raised his head looking up , "Why?"
Hoseok just laughed, winking. "I think you know."
"Hyunggggggggg"
"Jeon Jeongguk stop complaining or I will stop feeding you." Jin whacked him over the head with the tea towel he was using.
Jeongguk pouted before he wrapped his arms around the elders waist, placing his head on his neck."That's a lie Hyung and you know that you couldn't let me die of starvation."
"Hmmm." Jin rolled his eyes, pulling him closer, letting himself relax against his soul mates body.
He pressed kisses into his neck, "They don't call me the golden makene for nothing."
They stayed this what for a while until the latch of the door clicks and the other two that mkae up thier family come tumbling through the door.
"Kookie!”
The youngest jumped away from Jin in favor of completing thee secret handshake with his hyung. “Taehyung-hyung, what’s up?”
“I found him.” As soon as the words had let his lips the room fell into a deadly silence.
“What?..” It was Jeongguk who spoke first, exchanging glances with Jin.
“I mean I’m sure that I’ve found him.” The orange haired boy started to ramble, his smile wide and gummy and his hands playing with the end of his shirt.
Jin stepped closer to the three of them, his eyes full of concern. “Who Tae?”
“Who’d you think.” Jimin scoffed with the roll of his eyes. “His soulmate.”
“Well fuck.”
“I want to meet him.” Jin broke the silence as passed over the vegetables later at dinner; after Tae had told them all about his soulmate the four of them broke apart, not speaking to each other.
Taehyung accepted the bowl, “Hyung…”
Jin shook his head, “Tae, if he is your soulmate..”
“He is I felt it.”
“What if we lose you.” The rest of the table went silent; they were all thinking it. If the soulmates bond to his or her soul family was stronger than Taehyungs bond to his soul-family then Taehyung would have to leave with his soulmate.
Tae tried again, this time standing up and away from the table, “Hyung…”
Seokjin slammed down the chopsticks on the table, causing the other three to lean away, “I will not lose you to a bad person Taehyung and that’s final. I meet him before you get attached.”
And before anyone could say anything else Taehyung ran out of the room, tears gathering in the corner of his eyes.
Twenty minutes later Jimin finds himself in his room holding a sobbing Taehyung, “Tae Tae he only means well.”
“I know jiminie but I just want to be happy. I love you and the others you’re like everything to me but still my heart has a light hole and I know my soulmate is to fill it.” Tae sobbed even more, burring his face into Jimin’s chest.
“Tae…”
“And when he found Jeongguk we accepted him so why does he have to..”
“Kim Taehyung you stop that right now. You know Jin-Hyung loves you and all he wants is the best for you because he cares.” Jimin put an end to Tae’s sobbing, Jeongguk story was different to what happened here, Jin had found him straight out of the facility, there was no chance of him finding another family.
“Sorry Jiminie.”
Jimin shook his head, pressing a light kiss to the top of his head. “I’m not the one you should say sorry too. I’ll miss you if you leave. You’re my soul bond. My best friend, who else is going to drag me home in the early hours if not you.”
Taehyung sat up, wiping away the stray tears. “Yah I’m not leaving. He could be apart of our family.”
They both sit in silence for a moment, Jimin finally looked Tae in the eyes, “I never thought about it like that.”
Taehyung shook his head, his fingers clutching the necklace around his neck. “You were all too busy worrying about if you’d lose me and never even considered that he’d lose whoever he had.”
“Guys..” Jeongguk pushed open the closed door, and offered a small smile to the pair.
“Hey Kookie” Jimin smiled back, patting the space on the bed in which he promptly sat and snuggled up to the older boys.
“Jinine-Hyungie wanted to see you all.”
Tae nuzzled his face into the youngest, basking in his warmth. “Thank you Kookie.”
“And for the record I don’t think we’ll lose you.” The words make Tae smile and the trio fall asleep holding onto eacher and onto the hope of the future.
“Aish, I send him to get the others and they all fall asleep.”
The cafe that Jin had asked to meet Hoseok in was something out of a fairy tale, with pale pink painted walls and white tables and chairs looked glistening from the amount of natural light that was let in.
“Kim Seokjin-ssi?”
Jin lifted his head from the candy crush game that he was playing to see the younger boy stand there and he couldn't help but notice the soft feeling in his heart. “Ah, Jung Hoseok-ssi. Please call me hyung.”
“I’ll be frank Hoseok.” After the drinks were ordered and the pair were sat down at one of the tables near the window on looking the steady traffic and the quiet park. “Are you Taehyung’s soulmate?”
The slim boy nodded slightly, daring to look in his the elders eyes. “I..I think so...when he walked into the studio my whole body froze. It was my life heart stopped and nothing else matters. All I can think about is seeing him again but he’s avoiding my lessons and..”
“Come to dinner.”
“Huh?” Hoseok eyes widened, he didn’t expect the elder to invite him; in fact in all honesty he expected him to tell him to stay away from Taehyung.
“Dinner. Our house, you may bring your soul family..”
“Oh I don’t have one yet.” The words left his mouth quickly and quietly, it was unusual for a man his age not to have found his family.
“You don’t?!” Jin couldn't help but smile and pulled the man into an embrace from across the table. “Well then Jung Hoseok we should get on just fine.”
