Summary:

The world spins in a listless haze as the clamor of the evening crowd dies in his ears. People bump against him but Rafayel neither turns nor cares to apologize; they were all faceless pedestrians to him. All around him, neon lights flickered, its bright blaze lighting up the city in an artificial glow that covered up every star in the night sky.

In the N109 zone, there were no stars or days. The city lights were as close to celestial bodies as you were going to get.

What was he doing here?
