All that I need when I get with him

Summary:

Seven minutes in heaven, a game Yuji gets dragged to play. He doesn't know it, but things are about to heat up in a truly unexpected way once that door shuts. Tight space, barely concealed feelings, and one dangerous game to fulfill. That's if they give in and cave to their urges.

Notes:

Inspired by that art trend going around, though I'm extremely late to it lol. The brain rot I had thinking about this though, I physically couldn't take it anymore and had to write it down!

Next part will be out soon! Just finishing some scenes and editing, not a long wait, hopefully🤞💗

Any errors or mistakes, please let me know and I'll try to fix them as soon as I can! And if I need to change or add to the tags!

Chapter 1: Seven minutes in heaven

Chapter Text

“Yuji! Come on! You can't just hover here talking all night. Dance, party, drink, anything!”

Yuji shifted when Kugisaki gave an exasperated sigh as he lifted his plastic cup, shrugging as if he was proving a point or didn't know exactly what she was on about. She wasn't having any of it.

“But Yuji, you promised to have fun tonight! Why did I bring you if all you're going to do is hide?”

Noticing her pouting lips and silly widened eyes, Yuji realised he wouldn't be able to get out of this. He only agrees to go to get her to stop nagging, his poor head about to burst on the third day of hearing the exact same words leave her mouth—non stop. He didn't want to be here, afraid of running into a certain someone.

Kugisaki didn't really understand, but being the girlfriend to his childhood friend gave her an insight into things Yuji didn't always talk about, it was in the small gestures he made, facial features he pulled or body language. Yuji noticed her paying more attention after getting together with Yuko, gathering she must have said a few things to Kugisaki. It didn't bother him, just made it harder to hide the mess he'd created.

Noticing Kugisaki stepping closer, eyebrows wiggling, he inwardly braced himself, ready for whatever nonsense she was about to spout. He brought the cup to his lips, hoping she would get the hint and wouldn't continue. It failed.

“Maki-san, y'know that tall girl with the glasses in my class, she said Fushiguro should be here, somewhere.” Yuji sputtered, drink spurting out the side of his mouth as he pinched his lips together. Kugisaki didn't pay any mind, babbling on. “I haven't seen him though, maybe he's also hiding? Ha, you two could always hide together, sort out whatever fight you got into the last time you saw each other.”

Yuji raised a brow, looking at her like she grew a second head, or even a third. Kugisaki chuckled, crossing her arms as she spoke, “you seriously don't remember? I find that hard to believe. Y'know it was that party at what's his name's place, the one with the bun? Big muscles, loud voice?”

Yuji knew it far too well. Todo was hosting an enormous party after something great he'd done, nearly everyone invited. It was lively, loud, too many rooms. The exact scenes from that day have been playing on repeat in his head non-stop for the last few weeks now. It was why he didn't want to be here. Why he absolutely couldn't see Megumi today.

Subconsciously he pressed his lips together, the sensations returning, hand going to trace the area before stopping, Kugisaki’s voice the only thing that brought him back to reality.

“Come, I can't take this anymore.” Looping her arm with his, she tugged him along, even with his protesting and squirming. She didn't care. Winding through a throng of people, all dancing and laughing and drinking. The music, something bassy that vibrated through his ribcage. It was a pleasant feeling, if that was the only issue rattling his ribs. Yuji's heartbeat was wildly beating in his chest, eyes darting from face to face, making sure Megumi wasn't among them. He didn't quite believe Kugisaki, her information wasn't always correct, and half the time it was just to mess with him.

A hard tug to his elbow caused him to stumble, shoulder bumping into someone. He couldn't even get an apology out before he was tugged again in a different direction. Everything was blurred and dizzy, faces meshing together so that when things finally slowed, he didn't even recognise the room they were in. It looked like a bedroom, or a spare room of sorts.

“I've found someone else to play a game with! The more the merrier, right?” Kugisaki laughed and Yuji surveyed the new area. It was a fairly decent sized room, though rather bare. A door by the far end suggested it led onto another room, maybe a walk in wardrobe or en suite. A small group of people sat on the floor, drinks in the middle, all in a circle. Yuji recognised Maki, giving a small smile as her eyes caught his.

“Aahh, Itadori-kun has finally graced us with his presence. Too low for you now that you've made a name for yourself in the sports department?” She gave a snort, adjusting her glasses with lithe fingers as she leaned into Yuta, who's neck was flushed pink. He joined in, albeit a bit hesitant and seemingly forced. Kugisaki gave a pout, squeezing in between the two and swiping at an almost empty bottle.

“He's been hiding. So I came to his rescue, for this! I've been wanting to try this for ages, just for the fun of it. Obviously there will be strict rules. I have a girlfriend who I love dearly, and I would never betray her!”

Yuji sheepishly joined them, sitting besides someone he didn't even know, who just happened to have space by them. They gave a simple smile, reserved before looking back at Kugisaki and listening to her proposed plan.

“Spin the bottle, or seven minutes in heaven. Or better yet, both! We can do it like truth or dare as well, like drink if you refuse, something like that?” people nodded, a few agreeing, though it wasn't until Maki agreed that everyone seemed to really get into the idea.

An empty bottle was found—wasn’t every difficult to find one in a party—and the game began. It wasn't very fun, the first few rounds more tense, people feeling it out. Yuji hadn't been unfortunate enough to be chosen for any of the rounds so far, too busy eating a bowl of sweets someone had placed by him. It was a good enough distraction.

Maki sighed, glancing at her watch for the third time for this round. Kugisaki tilted her head, question already leaving her mouth before Maki could stop her. “The space next to you, where your handbag is. You waiting for someone?”

“Saving a space for someone who should be here already. Being late is just their way of showing up, kills a bit of time before they ultimately leave early. An excuse, really.” An unamused chuckle left her throat, however this sparked Kugisaki’s curiosity, her nosiness evident in the way she invaded her classmates' space. Maki didn't pay much attention, opting between checking her phone for messages or her watch for the time.

Yuji tuned it out, not bothered by the fact someone else could be joining. As long as it wasn't who he was avoiding, then everything would be fine.

Noritoshi, the person next to him—who he'd only just met—didn’t seem too into the game. His sideways glances and small talk to Yuji were welcome, a way to relieve the tension building in his shoulders.

Another round went by, this time Kugisaki was chosen, along with someone he'd never even seen before. She agreed, only because she didn't want to get wasted so early into the game, but refused to do anything.

Sipping on some weird concoction the group had poured, Yuji began to feel boredom wrap around his body, his movements sluggish and tired. Noritoshi noticed, striking up more small talk. Yuji engaged, his signature beaming smile present as he responded.

Maki's sudden explosive exclamation made Yuji jump, much to Noritoshi’s amusement.

“Finally, I've been saving this space for ages! You don't know how many people have asked to join, only for me to turn them away for you, you arse. Get over here now!”

He glanced up, nodding along to whatever was being said beside him, until his eyes landed on intense blue. He blinked, eyes moving too fast, up and down, then again and again, just to make sure he saw it correctly. Fair skin, eyeliner, signature black clothing, messy yet somehow put together hair.

Yuji felt his jaw hit the flaw, literally.

He couldn't believe it. The person Maki had been saving that stupid space for, was the one being on earth Yuji didn't want to run into, let alone play a ridiculous game with. He wanted the ground to swallow him whole.

Words of apology were said, Megumi scratching his neck as he spoke before reluctantly following Maki’s order to sit down. As he did, he flicked his eyes over the group, blue meeting brown, eyes not betraying anything as his gaze stopped on Yuji. He felt like a deer in headlights, frozen and completely at the mercy of the oncoming vehicle.

“Dude, you good? Catching flies? Drunk already?” He snapped his head to the side, awkwardly chuckling at Noritoshi's joke, softly denying it. He risked a side eye towards Megumi's spot, quickly averting his gaze when he saw his eyes somewhat staring in his direction. It most likely wasn't at him, just near him, surveying who he was playing with. That's what Yuji hoped, anyway.

Kugisaki reappeared, their eyes meeting. She playfully put his finger in her mouth, gagging at what she just had to do, making Yuji laugh. He was grateful he hadn't been picked yet.

The bottle was spun, wobbling on the uneven carpet, again and again and again. Yuji had been picked once since, sitting in a cramped wardrobe for less that the intended seven minutes because he didn't want to participate in any sort of making out, making the girl he had to go with visibly upset and resulting in her storming out. It was strange, but he was slightly relieved nothing happened. He just wasn't into her.

Megumi had been chosen a few times, only going into the wardrobe once, coming out completely unfazed, as did the girl, whose name was Miwa. She didn't seem to have any interest in him—vice versa—so they agreed to do it.

Yuji was visibly less tense, leaning back on his hands, happily sipping on his drink. He watched as the bottle spun, landing on Maki. Yuta looked far too happy for that to have been a coincidence, the two leaving promptly with Kugisaki keeping and eye on the timer.

He felt his hand suddenly drop, only by a small weight, yet it was too noticeable to ignore. Some girl had refilled his cup and he could promptly feel the effects from the first few he'd had starting to kick in. Beside him he felt something tickle his ear, airy and light.

“Feeling better? You've been a little tense this whole game. Someone in this circle you like, or just nervous to play?” Yuji felt the laughter bubble up in his throat, warmth spreading through his chest. He'd never drank so much before, his limit was normally two drinks no matter the occasion. Now on his fourth, he had to admit it did help loosen up his muslces—and tongue.

“Yeah, I do. Drinking does help then, never really had enough to do anything, y'know? Oh and no, not really…” he trailed off a little at the end, not entirely lying, since he wouldn't call the issue that plagued his mind a crush or infatuation. It was simply stuck on repeat, an incident he couldn't find the answer to.

Noritoshi leaned in closer, dark hair tickling the exposed skin of Yuji's shoulder, where his oversized crew neck jumper had slipped. Yuji wasn't dumb, he could see the interest in the way Noritoshi was behaving. Just when he thought he was going to do something, Kugisaki scrambled to her feet, shouting that time was up. Noritoshi subtly moved back, to which Yuji lifted his cup, taking a slow swig of drink. It probably wasn't a good idea but he didn't know what else to do to calm himself down.

Maki and Yuta walked back in, both looking a little red behind the collar. Yuji didn't even want to imagine what had happened. Another round went by, another seven minutes with two people he didn't know. His drink was almost empty and he was starting to get dizzy. When the timer went off and someone shouted, he drew his attention back to the game. He'd somehow gotten closer to Noritoshi, not completely leaning into him, but definitely going over the invisible line of acquaintance boundaries.

Nishimiya announced her turn to spin the bottle, letting it wildly turn and turn before the open top landed on Megumi. He didn't even notice until Maki nudged him in the ribs, earning a scowl and a shocked look to grace his features. Yuji couldn't help but let his heart sink when Megumi agreed, Nishimiya’s face lighting up as if she'd been waiting for this moment. Slumping back, he finished off the rest of his drink.

“Fucking finally, he wouldn't take his eyes off you.”

Yuji turned his head, brows furrowed as he stared at Noritoshi. He saw the look, raising a brow as if confused by Yuji's reaction.

“You didn't see? Virtually glued to you the entire night. Such a pain.” A sly grin stretched his lips. “Maybe he's jealous…” Noritoshi moved forward, and Yuji couldn't even process what was just said before he was in his personal space. “If he wanted to watch, he didn't need to stare daggers to get the hint across.”

Yuji was baffled, taken aback and confused. The alcohol buzzing in his system was clouding his judgement and he wasn't quite sure what to do. He laughed, a quiet, awkward chuckle to lighten the mood. He noticed the shift though, Noritoshi’s body much closer than necessary. With the blaring music and overbearing chatter, no one noticed, too busy trying to shout over the music, dance or get drunk. For just a moment, Yuji felt this need, selfishness at Megumi's blatant indifference from before to this so-called obvious staring, he wanted him to see this. To watch.

Yuji leant forward, a smirk on his lips. It was definitely the alcohol giving him this cocky courage to risk this.

“I wasn't looking. I was focused on someone else.” Noritoshi didn't waste time, his hand coming to Yuji's thigh, gliding across the denim material of his jorts, resting close to his inner thigh. His lips found his neck, lightly sucking before it grew more rushed. Yuji let it happen, caught up in the moment, enjoying the feel of someone's lips on him.

He thought of Megumi, his soft lips, the gentleness of his kiss, his deep blue eyes, long eyelashes. It was wrong but he couldn't help it. Yuji gripped Noritoshi's wrist, keeping him in place as he opened his mouth, rough hands tugging his hair, pulling his head back for more access.

It wasn't Megumi this time.

It wasn't kind like Megumi's, the fleeting time they spent together glaringly different.

Noritoshi’s hunger was strong, lustful and forceful. Megumi's was quiet, soft, and reserved, as if Yuji was going to shatter with the simple touch of his hand. It was different, and Yuji's awful mind could only conjure up what it would be like if Megumi was in Noritoshi's place.

“Isn't that against the rules? If you want to snog, do it where you don't have an audience.”

The cold blunt tone cut into Yuji and he pulled away from Noritoshi, shifting his body to signify it was over. Heat rose up his neck onto his face, embarrassment crashing over him. Noritoshi hung his head, lowly swearing before he lifted his gaze.

Megumi was back, standing by his designated spot, a sneer evident on his face, eyes blazing with something akin to hatred.

Kugisaki sprung forward, her face full of shock as she spoke. “Yuji! What the–what are you doing? I didn't take you to be the type.” She presented a childish smirk, face full of naughty intent from her comment. Yuji went to say something, anything, when he felt his wrist get tugged, pulling his attention away.

“Shit, let's go. I know where we can go, away from prying eyes.” Noritoshi sent a bored look at Fushiguro, who instantly deepened his scowl, arms crossed as the two silently challenged each other. Maki began to say something about a penalty shot, for both of them. Noritoshi wasn't listening, whispering into Yuji's ear, trying to pull him up. Yuji couldn't focus, trying to listen to both conversations through the distant music. His head was fuzzy with too many words, becoming overwhelming far too quickly.

“I propose a punishment, maybe taking a bomb shot or sitting in time out, like a humiliation thing–”

“–no need, it's sorted.”

Everyone turned their gaze. Megumi let his eyes fall to the floor and Yuji followed the movement, eyes landing on the centre of the circle, where the bottle’s neck pointed directly towards him.

“Still playing? Or does Noritoshi want to run off?”

The disrespect dripping off his tongue was enough to rattle Noritoshi, his grip shaking as he stared at Yuji. Ultimately Yuji was the one calling the final shot, even if it felt like a massive spotlight was on him, pressure infiltrating his body as he thought of what to do. He didn't want to let this opportunity slip by, even if it meant Noritoshi would hate him after this. They'd only just met, after all. It didn't bother him as much as he thought it would. The decision was rather easy.

He nodded, looking up and catching Noritoshi's eye, hinting at his wrist. He let go, sitting back down as Yuji rose to his feet, following as Megumi led the way. Taking one last glance back, he saw Kugisaki smiling, proud as a peach, producing a thumbs up and a wink.

Shit, this isn't going to end well. I can't do this, I can't. I can't. I won't. I'll turn around, pretend I'm feeling sick or–

“Second thoughts?”

Yuji lifted his gaze. Megumi was holding the wardrobe door, eyes boring into him, accusing him of something he hadn't even done yet. Squeezing his hands, he shook his head, flipping his usual happy persona on, a bright smile at the ready.

“No way! I never back out. Plus, it's too late for that, right? Right…?”

Megumi gave a snort, turning his back as he disappeared inside. Yuji followed suit, nerves eating at his limbs as he tried to calm himself down. I'm screwed.

The door closed with a soft thud, filtered light through the panels and patterned wood the only source of illumination. Legs tangled. Facing each other. It was enough to make Yuji cry internally. He kept his eyes everywhere but on Megumi, jumping at the slightest of movement or sound he made. It was going to be a long seven minutes.

Some time must have passed, for the silence was just too suffocating to deal with. Megumi decided to break it.

“Are you and Noritoshi a thing?”

Yuji snapped his head around, a look of absolute shock painted on his face. His mouth was even open.

“N-no way! He, well, we only just met today! Truly! It's nothing like that!”

Yuji couldn't help but wave his arms around, stumbling over words as he hurried to get the sentence out. His sudden movement caused him to brashly bump against Megumi's legs, and he quickly shut his mouth. Megumi clicked his tongue. That was his response. A flicker of disappointment wavered in his chest. He didn't seem to care.

“So, do you just kiss random people at every party you go to?”

He couldn't believe his ears. He wanted to run. To burst out of this wardrobe and never look back. It actually hurt a little, to hear him say such stuff, or even think that's what was going through his head.

With a sense of defeat and shame rolling off him, he hung his head. “No, never. I…I've been drinking, and I got carried away. I shouldn't have.”

He could die from the shame he was experiencing, Megumi's eyes on his the entire time, not afraid to stare. It made him squirm in his skin.

“What about before…?”

“What do you mean…? Oh, before.”

Yuji bit his lip, eyes darting up and down, anxiety churning in his stomach. Seeing the hesitation on Megumi's face made him think maybe this wasn't just a stab in the dark. Maybe he was trying to find something out. Something specific.

“I…was drawn to you, since the start of university. You…well, you're way too handsome, like a model or something. I couldn't take my eyes off you. So when I saw you at that party, by yourself in that room, I couldn't help but approach you. It was a pure accident running into you, really, but when I saw it was you, I didn't hesitate to say hi,” He paused, waiting for something to be said, so when nothing was, he carried on.

“That kiss…was incredible. I can still feel it, imagine it. I can't get it out of my head. I can't…get you out of my head.”

Yuji decided to stop, to bite his tongue and ask for forgiveness mentally. He was ridiculous for just spouting all that, after everything he'd pulled outside. He wasn't ready for the humiliation that would follow after this.

“I can't either.”

The quiet admission made Yuji's heart stop. Looking up, he saw an expression he'd never seen Megumi express before. The emotion was raw, unguarded.

“I thought I was the only one, seeing as I couldn't find any trace of you, anywhere. I know it was just once, but I felt this…connection. I wanted more ...still do…”

The tension increased tenfold, the tight space the two were cramped in was suddenly too enclosed. Yet Yuji wanted to be closer, he wanted to feel that warmth again, those hands on his skin, in his hair. Tentatively, he struggled and changed position, trying to find a better angle to sit.

Megumi was perplexed, his question only furthering Yuji's determination to fix this. “What are you doing? It's way too cramped for you to be moving like that. We can sort this out later, let's just deal with this for now–”

He swallowed his own words when Yuji slid down Megumi's thighs and onto his knees. The audible sound of him swallowing brought Yuji's attention to the situation, realising how provocative it was. He did indeed intend to get closer, just not quite like this.

“Oh shit, I didn't mean–I wanted to get closer to you–no I mean, well yes, but not like this–”

“Shut up and kiss me.”

Megumi's body shifted underneath him, hands coming to cradle Yuji's face, soft lips crashing into him with intent. All Yuji could do was follow, opening his mouth with surprise at the sudden change in mood, weakly moaning as it deepened.

The intense feeling that arose within him was frightening, the desperate need to hold onto what was happening overwhelming. He could feel it in the way Megumi kissed him, that hungry yet carefully controlled rush. It sent a tantalising shiver up Yuji's spine.

Hands in Megumi's hair, Yuji pressed himself further into the kiss, breathing becoming laboured, lips messily fumbling against each other's, the frantic desire coursing through their veins becoming too much. A needy groan left Megumi's mouth and Yuji's brain short circuited.

He pulled away, to get some air, to reevaluate what the hell they would do after this, but was ultimately stopped when Megumi followed, hungrily devouring his lips even as they shifted. Heat coiled in his lower stomach and he decided thinking wasn't needed right now, choosing to meet the kiss with equal intensity and want.

The fumbling got heated, breathing in each other's scents, exchanging air, eager mouths. “Yuji…” in that whisper, the way he looked at Yuji, as if he would crumble without his touch, was enough to shock him. He couldn't help but squirm, hips twitching against the stiff material of the many belts Megumi wore. It wasn't until he felt Megumi jolt a few too many times, his brows pinched, whiney groans leaving his throat did Yuji pull back.

Flushed face, hooded eyes, panting, the harsh rise and fall of his chest. Pure sin was present before him. “Megumi…”, Yuji couldn't help but stare, his own desire reflected in blown out pupils. “You have such pretty eyes, and long eyelashes, why cover them up with eyeliner?” His question wasn't answered, jaw clenched tight as Megumi fought the onslaught of desire swimming in his veins.

Yuji shifted subtly, hands on Megumi's stomach, hearing another pathetic moan struggling to leave through gritted teeth. He could definitely feel something other than the studded belts underneath him.

He did it again, watching as his body shuddered underneath him, hips involuntarily bucking. An idea popped into his head. It would be torture for Megumi, though Yuji had an inkling he would enjoy it.

He rolled his hips, deliberately slow, hands settling on Megumi's stomach, feeling the muscles beneath tighten, his groan husky as he looked up at Yuji. The intoxicating rush that followed at that reaction was enough to make him addicted. He did it again, grinning when he decided to put his hands under Megumi's top. Seeing the physical reaction, the shuddering, the fluttering eye lids, heavy breathing. It viscerally bloomed within his body, head filled with overwhelming senses.

Megumi groaned again, hands coming to Yuji's hips, subtly moving his body for the friction he was desperately craving. Yuji obliged, wanting his own form of release, increasing his rocking just enough for things to get intense. Megumi let his head fall back, hitting the back against the wooden interior of the wardrobe, fingers curling into the denim as if his life depended on it.

Biting his lip was becoming too frequent, holding back his own sounds of pleasure, worried they were being louder than intended. Megumi didn't seem to care, his head in the clouds, those eyes staring up at Yuji, reverence in every hooded glance. Yuji leant forward, capturing his lips, rewarded with another filthy moan. This time it was messy, uncoordinated and almost painful. Neither stopped. It was something they were willing to drown in as long as they were together.

When Megumi bit his lip, Yuji let out a gasp, moving his head back a little. It was sore, but it had sent a bolt of electricity through his veins and he had to stop before he asked for it to happen a second time. He blinked, shaking the urge away, eyes landing on Megumi's once again.

Megumi was a total mess, hair sticking to his face, wet with sweat, red cheeks, swollen lips. When Yuji moved to recapture his lips, he paused, eyes intently searching his. They were glassy. Yuji shifted, moving his body away from being flush against Megumi's thighs, concern overtaking his features. He looked like he was about to cry.

“Megumi, what's wrong? Are you okay?” All he was met with was sharp intakes of breath. “...should we stop?? You look like you're crying?...do you regret it…?”

As soon as he heard those words leave Yuji's mouth, his hands moved to his lower back, pulling him closer, eliciting a surprised yelp from Yuji. He slumped forward with the motion, noses brushing as Megumi gave him a small smile.

“Don't say such things. Keep going, it feels good…too good.” A content sigh rumbled in Megumi's throat as Yuji kissed him, hands firm on his chest, back arched as he tried to position himself better. When they pulled apart, briefly locking eyes, Megumi brushed his nose against Yuji's. “It feels so good, that's why. I'm not crying for any of those reasons, don't think that. I'm crying because it's that good. Don't stop.”

Yuji's smile stretched across his face, a little laugh echoing in the small space. He gave a quick kiss to his cheek, Megumi's hum reverberating from his chest and along his hands. The soft moment between the two, it made his heart race, the calmness unexpected. It didn't last long, the gentle kisses growing, their desire heightening again.

Leaning back on Megumi's thighs, Yuji resumed his earlier movements, bruising grip on his hips, indecent vocals bouncing off the walls. Megumi was shaking, his chin tilted up, eyes rolling back with every delicious piece of friction given to him. Glassy eyes no more, tears were falling freely, pathetic pleas tumbling from his quivering lips.

Yuji placed his hands on Megumi's stomach again, muscles twitching, tense like a bow. Yuji gave a measured roll of his hips, feeling the tension increase, sharp haggard intake of breath.

“Yuji…fuck–please, ha…ha…Yuji…” his begging was music to Yuji's ears, spurring him on to increase the speed, before slowing down again, a torturous rhythm set. An angry groan resounded out and Megumi huffed, lungs deflating as Yuji explored the pale expanse of his chest, pushing the flimsy top to sit on his collarbones. The sight was enough to make Yuji shiver, his own need for release starting to dominate his want to stretch this out. Another groan, and Yuji could feel his own stomach pulling taut, his thighs quivering as he stopped, gathering his breath. Megumi was quick to pull Yuji forward into a bruising kiss, all tongue and teeth. “Ahh, Megumi, hmmm.”

He was ready to snap.

The sounds Yuji made were almost enough for Megumi, his heartbeat wildly thrashing against Yuji's palms, sweat sticking uncomfortably to both of them. Yuji tasted salt on his lips, metallic hints on his tongue. He let out another breathy moan, hips shaking as he desperately searched for that release that they both needed.

The distant sound of voices broke through their private bubble, loud and angry. He didn't pay any mind, thinking it was just someone passing or from another room. It wasn't until a surprising knock on the wardrobe door startled them.

The immediate panic was equal, both trying to spring apart as fast as they could, knocking against one another as they separated, limbs clashing as they sought to rectify their current state. The door flung open, a very angry Kugisaki berating him. Yuji tumbled, falling out of the confined space with as much grace as a seal thumping on the beach.

“Yuji! For the love of–it's been way over seven minutes! More like ten! What on Earth is going on? Did you guys fight or something?” She paused, crouching down to be almost on the same level as Yuji. His face was flushed red, as was his ears and neck. He was shaking, looking like he was on the verge of crying out of embarrassment.

“...Are you okay? You don't look so good…” tone softer, her gaze solemn. Yuji gave a simple nod, not wanting his voice to betray his position. He stayed on the ground. He couldn't risk Kugisaki seeing him like this.

When she got up, her steps didn't falter, strides brisk as she approached the closed side of the wardrobe. Without much care she flipped the other door open, revealing Megumi's slumped over form, an evident glare on his face.

“Holy shit, did you guys actually fight? You look awful, Fushiguro-kun.” With that, Megumi's displeasure deepened, lip beginning to curl, as if ready to spill out any type of unkind retort he could think of. Yuji interrupted instead, not wanting Kugisaki’s curiosity about this whole ordeal to uncover what was actually going on behind those doors.

“I'm going to head home, I'm tired and not in the mood for games anymore.” Hearing that, Kugisaki stepped back, hand on his shoulder as she tried to ease him into a standing position. Thankfully his arousal had diminished—the surprise visit was to thank for that.

Yuji turned his head, eyes searching Megumi's form, seeing his face relax as the space grew between them. The uncertain look on his face, the shaking legs, glistening skin. Yuji couldn't help but think it was a shame they were only supposed to have seven minutes together.

He gave his signature smile, making sure Kugisaki didn't catch it, and was given a soft smile in return. Progress was progress, even if it was because of some silly little game. He hoped they'd be able to talk about this soon, away from everyone, in their own private space.

The sight of what occurred tonight would forever be burned into Yuji's mind. He smiled to himself.
