Summary
"You're..." Mike shifts again, closer, his breath fans across Will's neck. "You're my only best friend."
Even though the words squeeze his throat to a painful extent, he mutters, "For— for now."
"I don't want another one," He glares. "I want you."
Just a few months before graduation, when the rest of the party has been moved from Hawkins after the-almost-end-of-the-world, Mike and Will are left to complete their senior year together. Mike, who's been giving off mixed, vague signals for far too long, and Will, who can't seem to shake the remnants of his nightmares and the last six years of misery. As the New Year grows closer, Mike and Will must reckon with each other and the distance thrust between them before it's too wide to cross.
