Work Text:
It was Eliot's turn to pick out what they were doing for date night. And while normally he would pick something that wasn't likely to end in disaster, that day he was feeling ambitious. Plus he had started pizza dough that needed to be used. Which was how he ended up dragging both Parker and Hardison into the kitchen of his apartment.
"What are we doing?" Hardison asked, seeming suspicious.
A fair point. Eliot often got frustrated with them in the kitchen for something. But that night he was ready for the chaos that was letting them in there.
"We're making pizza," he said. "I got the dough ready, but we are going to have to get the rest of the toppings together before we start."
Parker's face lit up when he said that. Hardison had a smile too. And he knew that he had made the right choice. They were ready for it that night.
The first thing he did was get Hardison started on grating cheese. It was something that he could do (and complain a bit about), while Eliot taught Parker how to chop up some of the different things that they liked to have as toppings. It went better than it had in the past. She was getting better at controlling the knife.
It made him proud. Even when they got to actually putting toppings on the pizza and somehow there was sauce on the ceiling. Eliot didn't even know which of them it had been.
But eventually all the food made it in and out of the oven without anyone getting cut or burned (a first for them).
He was happy to be able to share his favorite thing with his partners. Even if he was going to spend a week cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
