Work Text:
Shido has just finished, pulling out and letting his cum spray on the small of Goro’s back and the cheeks of his ass. It will be annoying to clean up of course but Goro likes the idea of being marked like this. Like a brand. Shido’s ownership of him. It’s late and the office is dark and quiet. Just their frantic breaths. Shido’s hands haven’t left Goro’s hips just yet. It’s like they’re frozen together, connected for eternity.
It’s hard not to feel cold and used when Shido pulls away, straightening himself and lighting a cigarette. Goro knows he’s looking over the city skyline, at the buildings illuminated by red lights in the dark. Sex always seems to energize Shido, give him the clarity he needs to continue on with his manipulations. It makes Goro feel like he’s disappearing. It shuts up his overactive brain and makes him unable to focus on anything but the pressure of Shido’s body against his.
He longs to be in sync with his father, to be completely aligned with him. To share something with him.
But they are always at a distance.
Goro presses his forehead against the cool wood of Shido’s desk, one hand bracing himself, the other stroking his cock in frantic swipes. He wants to finish, to not be left aching the way Shido often leaves him. His climax is so close he can almost taste it.
“It’s late,” Shido says with an exhale of smoke. “Shouldn’t you be getting on your way?”
It’s a dismissal. One he knows better than to challenge. Any chance of cumming now has been robbed from him. With precum-wet hands Goro reaches for the tissue box on the edge of the desk and begins cleaning himself. He twists his body as he cleans himself so he doesn’t let any of Shido’s cum drip off of him. Not revealing a trace of what they’ve done. The way Shido likes.
“Do you have somewhere to be, Shido-san? On your way home perhaps?”
“There’s still work to be done,” Shido says, watching the skyline still. “I can finally focus on it.”
“You aren’t expected home? It’s after midnight. Surely your wife would want you home.”
“She’s learned not to wait up for me on Saturday nights. And she’s learned to not ask questions.”
There’s a horrible menace in that sentence that the words themselves fail to hide. Goro can’t help but wonder how much she knows and how much she pretends not to.
“She’ll want to bring you breakfast in bed tomorrow, I assume? Or do you have other plans?”
Shido finally turns back to him, the red tip of the cigarette reflecting in his glasses. It makes his eyes look like they’re burning, a burning gaze focused right on Goro.
“You’re certainly chatty tonight. Are you really so curious about what I do at home?”
Goro smiles a tv smile, the demure one that makes female tv hosts blush. One he’s weaponized. “I didn’t have a father growing up, Shido-san. I’ve always wondered what children do for their fathers on Father’s Day.”
“My daughter will have a new tie for me, I suppose. And I’ll go golfing with my brother and his son. It’s the same every year. Nothing too exciting, Akechi-kun.”
Goro holds onto this information, the same way he does every single scrap Shido offers him. He wants to know it all. He’d spread each piece of it out to try and divine a weakness. Perhaps if he learns everything he can about Shido he can find the worst way to get his revenge. If he knows the man inside out perhaps he can ruin him in the most devastating way. Thinking of his revenge helps distract him from the tightness in his throat and the longing he feels to have a family, to be part of Shido’s own family. To have spent so much time with a family that it becomes rote and predictable.
“It sounds like you’ll have an enjoyable day tomorrow, at least.”
“Yes,” Shido says, distracted. There’s an alert on his phone that he’s paying attention to now. He thumbs through a message as if Goro isn’t there. Invisible. “It will be more enjoyable if I get news of that mental shutdown tomorrow night.”
Back to business, back to cutting down anyone who would stand in the way of the Japan Shido Masayoshi will rule. Goro tries not to think of whether or not this latest victim has a family that Goro will uproot. The end justify any means he takes to get there.
“Of course, Shido-san. Good night.”
Happy Father’s Day you miserable bastard, Goro does not say.
