Work Text:

A tickling sensation on the side of his face draws Lucerys from sleep. He lifts a hand to swat away whatever insect or wayward lock of hair is the source of his discomfort and is met instead with a set of long fingers that are not his own.

In an instant, he opens his eyes wide and makes to sit up. However, a strong force pins him back into his pillows and takes the air from his lungs. He stares down at the unyielding hand on his chest and follows it up along a sleeved arm to an angular chin and smirking mouth. His gaze lands on a more-than-familiar eye, its violet iris appearing dark but fiery in the unlit chambers.

“Why are you here, uncle?” his voice trembles slightly despite his desire to hide his shock at being woken so suddenly.

Aemond’s lips twitch with mirth. “You owe me a debt, little Luke.”

Lucerys suppresses a gasp and replies with a strained voice. “You’ve come for my eye?”

His uncle’s hand eases off his chest to slither upwards along his neck and face, sweeping a thumb under his left eye. Lucerys flinches unintentionally and Aemond hums.

“Don’t panic just yet, nephew,” he purrs. “I’d like for us to have a little chat first. It’s been so long since we last conversed, hasn’t it?”

A little more than a decade. That’s how long it’s been since they last saw each other. When Lucerys was too young to be harshly punished for his rash behavior with the blade he had swung at his uncle’s eye, but old enough to recall how furious Aemond had been in the days afterwards. An anger and disgust for Lucerys that had led him to climb atop Vhagar and leave Dragonstone, never to return.

Until today.

The day before his wedding.

Aemond’s arrival was unexpected, to say the least. Lucerys’ parents assumed the worst, that he had finally returned to seek vengeance and prepared themselves to shield Lucerys if need be. But he only entered the great hall where other guests were united to bid Lucerys and his betrothed good tidings on the eve of their wedding.

Lucerys had frozen upon seeing the older man walk towards him and only realized Aemond had spoken to him when Rhaena thanked him on behalf of them both. Jarring scar and leather patch aside, his uncle seemed well and composed despite his focused gaze on Lucerys during their reunion and for the rest of the evening.

He had thought Aemond put away all resentment concerning his eye, but he sees now that he had been a naive fool. Aemond cleverly had stashed away his violence until the exact moment in which he could brandish it.

Lucerys feels the acidity of fear creep into his veins, causing him to tremble severely.

“Calm yourself, Lucerys. Here,” Aemond swiftly clutches Lucerys’ arms to help him sit up against the headboard and pillows of his four-poster bed. “Are you more comfortable now?”

Lucerys quickly glances behind Aemond to the closed door on the other side of his rooms. “How did you get in?” He knows for certain a guard had been placed in the corridor just outside to deter this exact thing from occurring.

“Through your window, of course.”

Lucerys’ eyes widen. “How ever did you climb up here?” He himself has attempted many times to climb up the steep rocky steps of the castle’s outer walls. He knows how treacherous it is, a single gust of wind could send anyone toppling down to their death.

His uncle's answering chuckle sends shivers through him. “Have you forgotten who taught you how to scale those walls in the first place?”

Of course he hasn’t forgotten, Luke thinks.

As a child, he was eager to receive his uncle’s attention, all but clinging to him during his visits to Dragonstone. Lucerys was the only one to show Aemond any kindness. Even before the jagged scar that now adorns his face, his uncle was always a fearsome man. Quiet and more solitary than his mother’s other siblings, Aemond unnerved those who did not know him as well as Lucerys did.

He taught Lucerys most of the things he knows. The histories of their ancestors, the proper way to hold a sword, how to climb the rocky terrains of this island and appease the formidable unclaimed dragons in the Dragonmont.

He remembers several things about his uncle. The memory most prominent in his mind is the one of his hatred for Lucerys. The man never uttered it aloud, but he must have felt nothing but hatred after what Lucerys did to him. It must be why he left in the first place.

For him to have returned after all this time means nothing good, Lucerys is sure. His uncle must have planned to strike before his most important day. To leave him injured and helpless before his family and guests. Rhaena will never accept a husband as weak as he.

In his reverie, Lucerys had stopped paying attention to Aemond and almost fails to notice when the man clutches at the thin bed sheets and throws them aside.

His jaw visibly tenses as Lucerys’ nude body is revealed to him. Composing himself, his thin mouth slips into an indecent smirk. “My my, nephew. The years have treated you very well, I see.” His violet eye rakes over Lucerys’ body, focusing particularly on his hips and below his waist.

Momentarily stunned that his uncle would remove the blanket in the first place, his hands quickly move down to cover himself. “It’s–it was very warm tonight,” he stutters through some explanation as to why he wasn’t wearing at least a sleeping shift, feeling his face heat up with his humiliation.

Aemond clicks his tongue. “Oh, I don’t mind. This way, I can see how you’ve matured. You shouldn’t be embarrassed, Lucerys,” he adds when he sees Lucerys attempting to scuttle away from him. He locks his hands on each of his ankles to deter him. “You have such a beautiful figure. Like those statues in the garden.”

Lucerys blushes again. But this time because he is flattered that Aemond would compare him to the statues of Valyrian gods in Dragonstone’s garden. To the perfectly chiseled bodies and ethereally attractive features. Though Lucerys has noticed how his own body is shaped nicely by his daily rides on Arrax and courtyard trainings with Daemon, he feels that his uncle is exaggerating for his sake.

But the pleasant feeling from Aemond’s compliment doesn’t last long. Cold dread takes its place as he warily eyes the strong hold on his ankles. Clearly, his uncle means to discompose him so it is easier to maim him.

“Please, uncle,” he all but whimpers. “Please don’t take my eye.”

“But you have taken mine,” Aemond sneers. “Isn’t it only fair that I repay the favor?”

A warm wetness fogs up his eyesight. Lucerys wants to reason with his uncle, to tell him that he was a foolish child when the accident occurred, that taking his eye now will do nothing to get his own back. He wants to beg for mercy, to appeal to Aemond’s humanity. But strangest of all, he wishes to reach forward and weep into his uncle’s arms as he used to when he was a child. As he never got the chance to after Lucerys hurt him.

But words and actions fail him when he opens his mouth. The only thing he can do is try to settle his breathing.

“There, there, little princeling,” Aemond coos, thumbs brushing the skin over his inner ankles. His ardent gaze drifts up to Lucerys’ panicked one. “I am a reasonable man. If you insist that I cannot have your eye, then I must take something else. What do you suggest?”

When Lucerys gives no indication of answering, Aemond perches himself on the bed. His hold on his ankles loosens and turns rather playful instead as he brushes a teasing finger up Lucerys’ sole and caresses the skin of his calf. Lucerys flinches and is instantly reminded of the similar games he would play with him when he was a young boy. Capturing and tickling him when no one else was around, always having a hand on his leg or his back or his arms as he read Lucerys stories before sleep.

“I don’t know,” Lucerys says weakly. “I’m to be wed tomorrow. But if you hurt me, I may not be able to go on with it.”

“Is that so?” Aemond cocks his head and gives him a knowing look. “Do you believe you'll be a good husband? That you'll love your lady wife as you should?”

“Of course I will,” Lucerys immediately responds. “I love Rhaena and will do right by her.”

His uncle is amused in a way that has Lucerys feeling mocked. “But can you love her as a man should love his wife? To carry out your husbandly duties?” When Lucerys merely blinks at him, he clarifies, “Will you be able to consummate your marriage, Lucerys? Do you even know what that requires of you?”

By now, Lucerys understands and turns his eyes down, grateful that Aemond has let him place the sheet back over his lap. He already feels exposed enough as it is.

“Of course I know what to do,” he says, but his voice wavers.

“Ah, so you have experience in the matter?”

Lucerys shakes his head. “No, but I know ,” he insists.

He has been betrothed since he was barely old enough to know what occurs in the marriage bed, the sorts of things that happen when men and women lie together. Now that he’s of age and expected to perform these things with his stepsister-soon-to-become wife, the dinner in his stomach churns uncomfortably as he thinks of it.

It’s strange, but in a different world in which he never took his uncle’s eye, he imagines he would be having this same discussion with him anyway. Years ago, he always saw his uncle as another father. Perhaps more so than Laenor, Harwin, or Daemon ever were. He loved Aemond. Possibly still does, although cold apprehension is the most prominent thing he feels at the moment.

“Then, do you think you would enjoy it?” Aemond continues prodding. “Have you ever touched yourself while thinking about her or any other woman?”

Lucerys turns away his face, leaning his back on the headboard. Glancing out the open window, he sees it is still pitch dark. Something about the still night has him feeling like he can admit to anything. He shakes his head again.

“You don’t touch yourself?”

“No, I–I mean, yes. I do, but I…I don't ever think of women.” Certainly his uncle aims to shame him. To feel some sort of pleasure at Lucerys’ expense, goading him to admit what he is. Is his distaste for women so very obvious to others?

Still looking elsewhere, he senses Aemond shift forward until he’s close enough to place a warm palm over Lucerys’ chest, more gently than when he had pushed him into the mattress. Perhaps he intends to feel his rapid heartbeat. “Are you ashamed of this?”

Lucerys blinks twice and is startled when a warm drop skirts down his face. “I do love her, I swear I do, but not like that. But I don't know what I can do. This–what I feel–it’s unnatural.”

“No, Lucerys, it’s not.” Aemond’s hand slides up to his cheek, brushing away the tear. Strangely enough, Lucerys leans into the calloused hand, wanting to feel comfort from the very man who has frightened him. In response, his uncle’s voice turns more gentle. “May I tell you a secret? Just something between you and I?”

Lucerys finally glances up at him and nods enthusiastically. He always felt a sense of illicit excitement whenever his uncle told him secrets.

“I know what you’re feeling at this exact moment because I went through all of this as well.”

“You? You mean that…that you prefer men?”

Aemond nods once. “My mother never understood it. She thought that by praying and parading every high lord’s daughter in front of me, that I would suddenly change. But it’s not an ailment, Luke.”

He feels his stomach dip at hearing his uncle call him ‘Luke’ again. “And have you ever...?”

“Oh, yes.” Aemond leans down to speak into Lucerys’ ear. “It’s really quite enjoyable. I think you’d like it, too.”

Lucerys catches his breath as his uncle’s low voice sends warm shivers down into his lower stomach. “But I don’t have anyone that I–that I could–”

“No?” His uncle’s eye glints mischievously. “Well, would you like to find out?”

It would be naive of Lucerys to not realize what his uncle is asking. Putting all betrothals and debts aside, he makes his decision rather quickly.

He answers by surging upwards and pressing his mouth to his uncle’s curled lips. It’s just a small peck but when he draws back to assess Aemond’s reaction, he’s instantly pulled into a proper kiss.

It’s close-lipped at first. The type of kiss he’s secretly read mere descriptions of in Rhaena’s novellas and fantasized about during nights in which he has craved to feel one on his own lips. It’s gentle and attentive but turns hungrier when he feels a touch at his unclothed thigh and gasps. This allows Aemond entry into his mouth, and like a man starved, he drinks from Lucerys’ small moans.

“Does this pay my debt?” he whispers against Aemond’s lips when he’s finally allowed to breathe.

The other man gives a surprised laugh. “No, you silly boy. Though infinitely sweet, I’m afraid your mouth is not enough to fully satisfy me. I won’t take your eye, but I will take you. Is this a better proposition for you?”

Giving absolutely no thought to it, Lucerys agrees eagerly.

Aemond claims his mouth again, plunging in a hot tongue to further explore each crevice. He breaks away from him to place wet, ravenous kisses on Lucerys’ jaw and neck, slithering down his clavicle to reach a pert nipple and take it into his mouth. His tongue swirls over the sensitive bud, teeth graze over it delicately. Meanwhile, his hand comes up to give attention to the other one.

Lucerys can feel himself growing hard at this turn of events.

Aemond sinks even lower, his lips meeting the heated skin of Lucerys’ stomach and edges of his waist. Lucerys’ erection twitches, lightly tapping his uncle’s cheek as if requesting to be attended to as well. Aemond chuckles in a low voice, turning his head to kiss the underside of the tip, an action that has Lucerys bucking up at the unexpected pleasure. His uncle restrains further movements with a commanding palm on Lucerys’ stomach while his other hand grips at the base of his cock. He strokes up and down languidly, hungrily watching Lucerys hold his breath.

Then, he takes him into his mouth effortlessly, moaning obscenely and reaching down to fondle his bollocks as he swallows him down entirely. His uncle’s mouth is so warm and inviting, his throat hugging him lovingly in a way he has never felt, never expects to feel from anyone else. Like the green boy he is, it only takes a skilled swirl of a tongue to make Lucerys come into his mouth, crying out for mercy when Aemond stays there long after his orgasm is over.

Where once he was frightened to discover his uncle’s intentions, now he finds that he would gladly give up his purity to appease him.

Gaining his sense of boldness back, Lucerys reaches out to unfasten Aemond’s coat. He wants to make his uncle feel as good as he does, his fingers too eager and clumsy. When the only garment left to untie is his uncle’s trousers, he’s shoved back onto his bed again, but this time he is flipped around. Aemond grasps his waist and lifts it, his mouth puffing hot breaths onto Lucerys’ lower back and rear. When he separates his thighs, Lucerys gasps as he feels that hot breath reach the pucker of his hole.

The last thing he had expected was for Aemond to kiss him there , but sure enough, his mouth and tongue delve in, as ravenous as they were with the other areas of Lucerys’ body. He whimpers into his pillow when his uncle’s tongue enters him, licking at his inner walls and trickling drool down his taint. He tries to reach between his legs to tug on the cock that quickly begins to fill again, but his hand is swatted away. Lucerys brings it back under his pillow, deciding not to test his uncle’s patience.

When a long finger makes its way inside of him, Lucerys moans at the intrusion. He can tell how tight he is and takes a few calming breaths to let Aemond reach further. The rough pad of his finger strokes around inside, clearly searching for the pleasure spot Lucerys has heard about but never found himself.

But then his uncle reaches it and Lucerys cries out at the blinding pleasurable heat it produces within him. Vaguely, he registers Aemond chuckle as he presses on it again. If he continues like this, Lucerys doesn’t believe he’ll last long enough for his uncle to fuck him properly. Aemond seems to understand this as well since he mercifully goes back to pushing at his inner walls.

It’s not until Aemond has two, three fingers inside him that Lucerys notes they feel more slippery than what saliva would naturally allow. He lifts his head to look behind himself and finds his uncle holding a vial of what appears to be oil–one of Lucerys’ bath oils. Aemond must have found it on his dressing table when he first entered his chambers. He hasn’t departed from Lucerys since he awoke, which means he must have been planning to defile him from the very beginning. Was the bit about the eye just meant to frighten him into offering himself instead?

These are the sort of things he would need to think about with a more sober head. Now, the only things he can manage are wanton cries, admiration of his uncle’s confidence in the way he pleasures Lucerys, and perhaps even offering to help.

“May I?” he asks when it’s clear Aemond means to slather the oil onto himself.

Aemond nods, his darkened eye watching him closely as he shifts around onto his knees in front of the man. He’s finished unclothing himself and his length is full and at attention. Lucerys extends his palm to the oil Aemond pours, the lilac and chamomile scents wafting up to greet his senses. He reaches down to take Aemond in hand when the man suddenly hisses at his touch and swiftly reaches out to grip his neck threateningly. Lucerys pauses and looks up.

“You said you had no experience with women. Is the same true for men?”

Lucerys’ eyes widen at the jealous tone he detects in his uncle’s words. “Yes,” he murmurs. “I’ve never…this is my first time ever being with anyone, uncle, I swear.”

“No one else has ever touched you? I find that hard to believe.” His hand tightens around Lucerys’ throat for only a moment before easing and sliding down to a nipple. “But not to worry, nephew, I do believe you. Continue.”

Lucerys releases the breath he was unaware he was holding and lifts his hand to grip Aemond again, stroking slowly from base to tip and back, swooping down to massage and appreciate his heavy bollocks every so often like Aemond had done for him earlier. Aemond pinches at him before leaning down to lick and bite at his skin again. Lucerys takes the opportunity to comb his other hand through the sleek white-blonde hair.

Aemond stares up at him with that same ardent gaze, but Lucerys doesn’t let this deter him from studying the man’s features, searching for evidence of the years that have passed.

His uncle is not so old as to expect to see obvious creases in his skin, although the two decades he has above Lucerys have always made him a figure of authority. Someone he’s always looked up to and marveled at. This hasn’t changed even though, at six and ten, Lucerys is no longer a boy. He wishes to show his uncle how much of a man he has become.

While Aemond’s eye flicks down to where Lucerys continues to stroke him, Lucerys takes initiative and presses with enough force on his uncle’s chest to send him back, lying sideways on his mattress. Climbing atop him, he doesn’t wait for Aemond to react before reaching back to line up his uncle’s thick cock to his impatient hole. The plushy head breaches him easily enough, but as he carefully lowers himself to take more, he begins to feel a stretch painful enough for him to pause.

He looks down at Aemond when he feels hands slither up his legs to grip his waist. “So eager to ruin yourself on your uncle’s cock, I see. And on the eve of your own wedding. Will your betrothed want you once she learns how you’ve turned into quite the little whore?”

Hysterical, Lucerys laughs, shivering with desire to have Aemond fully inside him but afraid of how much it currently hurts. “If I’m a whore, uncle, it’s only because you’ve made me one.”

He gives Lucerys a cruel smile right before he pulls him down, sheathing himself entirely inside without any warning. Lucerys shouts loudly enough for Aemond to slam a hand over his mouth, stifling him before anyone else can hear.

“Shh,” he coaxes, “It’s alright, Lucerys. You can take it. Allow me to assist.” Ever so gently, he releases Lucerys’ mouth and lifts him only to slide him back down on his length. He builds up a slow rhythm, one Lucerys begins to feel brave enough to take control of when his insides have adapted to the girth that had made him wail only moments before. “That’s it,” Aemond praises. “Now, pick up the pace unless you wish me to make you scream again.”

Lucerys heeds his words, finding stability on Aemond’s shoulders to help him roll his hips a bit faster. At some point, he runs across an angle that brushes deliciously against that pleasurable spot inside him. He feels it again and again until his arms tremble and he has no choice but to fall onto his uncle’s chest, his skin hot and smelling of ash. A proper dragonrider. He slips his arms behind Aemond’s neck as he begins to thrust inside him when Lucerys can no longer go on.

He offers kisses to the man’s jaw and upwards on his face until his lips reach something that isn’t skin. With a jolt, he realizes he’s been kissing Aemond’s scar and the rough leather patch he wears to cover the hollow Lucerys left on his face.

“What’s the matter, my dear?” Aemond pants up at him. “Are you so afraid to see your own handiwork?” He suddenly lets go of one side of him to take the leather strap into his fingers, as if to lift the patch entirely off. Lucerys stops him. “It’s unlike you to be so craven, nephew. What are you so afraid of?”

Lucerys feels his eyes water again, but not because his uncle is so deep inside him. “I hurt you,” he whispers.

The fiery look in Aemond’s eye softens just a fraction. “You hurt me more by refusing to see what you’ve done.”

Lucerys feels the air in his lungs whoosh out of him. At his next breath, he steels himself and nods. Although remaining inside him, Aemond has paused the movement of his hips and finally pulls off the patch. Instead of the empty crater Lucerys expects, he sees a deep blue round gem in place of the eye he took so long ago. Sliding his hand up to cradle that side of his uncle’s face, the tear he was holding in drips onto Aemond’s skin. Lucerys leans down to press his lips there, on the slashed brow and the scar below the eyelid.

He feels himself being turned over onto his back, and Aemond claims the breath that is brought out of him when he lands. His uncle slides back inside him and proceeds with their earlier pace.

“Do I feel good, uncle?” he slurs deliriously, clinging to the back of Aemond’s neck.

“You feel divine , little Luke,” the man groans into the side of his head.

It only takes a few drags of Aemond’s cock inside him to send him over the edge yet again, his cries of pleasure swallowed up by his uncle’s ravenous mouth. Soon, Aemond follows him over, warming him so nicely inside as he spills, giving a final series of short deep thrusts to ensure he empties completely.

For a while, their mouths continue to slot clumsily against each other until Aemond finally lets him breathe to kiss the side of his face. He slips out of him and falls to the side, quickly pulling Lucerys to him. Lucerys burrows his head under his uncle’s chin as he’s held so perfectly tight. They stay like that for a while, each listening to the other’s quick breaths and pounding heartbeats.

“Is my debt paid now?”

Aemond stirs and slides a hand down to squeeze his rear, chuckling when Lucerys flinches. “ No. This is hardly enough. I expect you to pay every night, every morning from now on. Is this something you think you can do?”

Lucerys answers with a satisfied chuckle of his own. He nuzzles his cheek into his uncle’s chest and nods. He would promise Aemond anything he could ever ask of him. A sweet kiss is placed on the top of his head, and Aemond’s arms wrap closer around him.

“Good boy. Sleep now, for tomorrow you have a long day ahead of you.”

A set of letters are delivered to the Prince Lucerys’ awaiting betrothed and the crown princess and her husband before the sun fully rises the next morning. In Lucerys’ neat and swoopy handwriting, he gives a heartfelt apology to each of them explaining that he will no longer be able to fulfill his duty, if he ever even could.

To Rhaena, he wishes her a man who will love her as loyally as a husband should. She has always been kind and wonderful to him in every way and deserves the absolute best the gods are willing to bestow her in this life.

To Prince Daemon, he apologizes again for not being the man his daughter needs and for any disappointment he causes their house. He asks with paramount urgency that his uncle, Prince Aemond, not be faulted for his departure. If anyone is to be held accountable for what has occurred, it is Lucerys himself for he has chosen this.

To the Princess Rhaenyra, his beloved mother, Lucerys asks her not to worry nor to search for him. No, he is not being held captive or against his will, nor is he being treated cruelly or made to do things he does not want. It is the complete opposite, actually. He assures her that he will be most happy renouncing his future lordship to Driftmark as he never believed to be the appropriate one to sit the Driftwood Throne. His lawful and faithful sister, Baela, shall do a better job than he ever could. Finally, he tells her that he will not be gone forever, but to please respect the path he has chosen. He loves her and his siblings with his entire being, and he hopes they will at the very least understand what he has decided.

When Rhaenyra has a chance to compose herself after reading her letter thrice, she inquires with the dragonkeepers about her son’s dragon. According to them, the characteristic beautiful white dragon Arrax was spotted by a villager before dawn, mounted and flying away from the Dragonmont. He seemed to have been following alongside the beast Vhagar, also mounted and departing the island.

Atop his best friend who has seen his rider through every facet of his life so far, Lucerys sincerely hopes his mother can sense in her blood that he has been united with the one to make him smile every day.
