Luz and Amity were cuddling on the couch with Ghost at the end by their feet,
Gus was next to Hunter on the floor and
Willow was on his other side, Vee was next to her and they were all in their sleeping bags. The rest of the talisman were all cuddling together on a pillow under a table.
The movie was still going so he was just sitting there watching it, he was also just scared to sleep, he often got nightmares about the Emperors coven or Belos and sometimes both.
Usually he notices everything that’s going on around him but this time he was so focused on the movie he didn’t see Willow waking up and sitting up next to him.
“Why are you still up Hunter?”
He was startled by this a bit and jumps back, almost hitting Gus.
“Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you”
“It’s fine I just didn’t expect it”
“But why are you still up?”
He doesn’t answer for a few seconds debating on wether he should tell her
“I-I just wasn’t s-sleepy I guess?”
He lies, he hates lying, especially to Willow
Probably has something to with his massive crush on her but just probably .
Unfortunately she sees right through him.
“You couldn’t sleep, could you?”
“N-No” He pauses “It’s just some nightmares, I’ll be fine you should go back to sleep Willow.”
“No” She says firmly “I’m not going to sleep until you do.”
“Willow I’ll be fine-“
“Do you have any ideas on how to make it stop? Like does cuddling or being completely left alone help?” She jumps in.
“It usually stops when I cuddle with Flapjack or my Sprig plush but Flaps is asleep and the plush is in my room back
in the demon realm”
He sort of stutters out very
clearly embarrassed and face
almost completely red.
“Hmm” She looks at him “Would help if you cuddled me?” She holds out both her arms like she’s offering him a hug. “You don’t have to if you don’t want to tho”
Now his face is completely red and covered in blush, but before he can think he blurts out.
“P-Probably, you look very comfortable to cuddle and hug”
He swears to Titan he’s going to die right then and there.
Suddenly he hears a snicker and looks up.
“I-I am so so sorry I don’t know why I said that, I’m so sorry Captain.” He quickly ads.
“No no it’s fine, you’re fine don’t worry about it” She looks at him and smile’s.
“But if you really think so you are welcome to join me” She lays down to her side facing him and puts her arms out.
“A-Are you sure? if it bothers you I can just suck it up and try to sleep again.”
“It’s perfectly fine Hunter I promise”
He lays down into her sleeping bag and before he knows it he has his face nuzzled into her neck and she has her chin resting on his head and their feet are tangled under the covers.
They both fall asleep instantly and cuddle like that rest of the night, forgetting all their problems.
