All Draco could think was if Potter didn’t fucking shut up, he would hex him into next week then let Pans take his balls, if she hadn’t already. Knowing how disgusting in love Potter was with his friend, he was sure she already had them. Draco yawned to interrupt the savior of the wizarding world. "As interesting as you have been, it is Christmas Eve. You have a wife and sprog to get home to.”
Potter ran his fingers through hair pulling his unruly brunette hair to standing. “Shit what time is it? I told Pans I would be late. However, I didn’t think you would take so long to get back.”
“Eight. And you were the one who sent me on a curse breaking mission two weeks before Christmas then insist that we had this tete-a-tete as soon as I got back.”
Potter smiled as he pulled off his glasses and cleaned them on his shirt. “What kind of leader would I be if I didn’t work on the holiday with you?”
Draco rolled his eyes. “A bad one which I would have been okay with. Just because I don’t have a wife and sprog doesn’t mean I don’t have places to be.”
Potter waggled his eyebrows. “Hot date uh? Let me guess supermodel already naked with a glass of fire whiskey.”
“Exactly. So if you don’t mind, I am leaving.”
“I was right. Who is she?”
Draco had already stood up from the leather chair and turned his back to his boss/friend. Draco hesitated for just a moment before he walked out, “You are just as bad as Pans. Worry about your own love life Potter.”
-------------------------------
Hermione felt a pair of lips kiss her neck as she finished putting tinsel on the large pine tree. “Theo,” she moaned. “We need to wait until Draco gets home.” Theo responded by pressing his hard cock against her ass. Hermione whimpered when Theo nibbled on her neck.
“Hush witch,” Theo whispered. “I am just enjoying a little snack.”
The living room was decorated with muggle Christmas lights, homemade snowflakes, and a beautiful green, red, and silver tree. The tree was the perfect mix of the lion she was and her two snakes. Hermione turned herself in Theo’s arms and placed her head on his heart. She sighed listening to it beat. She felt a kiss on her temple.
“What is wrong love?”
“Do you think he will like it,” she asked into his soft navy sweater. She felt a smile before another kiss hit her curls.
“Why do you think he wouldn’t?”
Hermione gazed up at Theo. He had a concerned look on his face. “I am just anxious. I want everything to be perfect so he can’t say no. I don’t want to keep this secret anymore. I want him home with us for Christmas. I hate how he is always sent away because Harry thinks he doesn’t have anyone to come home to. He has us.” Her brown eyes filled with tears. “I don’t want to hide Draco anymore. I don’t want him to hide us.”
Theo pulled her closer. “We will tell Draco tonight. No more hiding.” He gingerly wiped her eyes with his thumb. “Everything is perfect, love. He will love it.”
--------------------------------
Draco walked through the floo only to be welcomed by a flying body and deep bark.
“Ooofff” He felt a soft body collide with his wrapping their legs around his waist. He felt soft lips giving him a bruising kiss and small hands tangling in his hair. Draco smile when the kiss ended. “Miss me love.” He felt the body burying their face into his neck.
“You are late.”
“Blame Potter, love.” Draco felt his wizard grab his waist to pull him into a kiss.
“Of course, we missed you Drake,” Theo responded. Hermione still wrapped herself around him. “Hungry Drake,” his wizard asked.
Draco held Hermione crip tighter. “No, all I wanted for Christmas is right here. I wish my witch and wizard naked in bed.”
Hermione smiled at him, “I think we can make that happen. Take me to bed, Draco.”
Draco started carrying Hermione down the hall to their room. “Coming Theo,” he called. Draco’s only response was the sound of laughter and his wizard following.
------------------------
Draco sleepily noticed one body pressed against him. Theo had possessively wrapped his arms around him pressing his back against Theo’s chest. He felt safe. He always felt safe in this man’s arms. Arms he had come to know in those dark times in sixth year when the only light was this man caring about him. He slowly opened his eyes to see the other side of the bed was empty. Draco wiggled out of Theo’s arms to investigate. “No,” a sleepy voice murmured.
“I will be right back. Hermione is gone.” Draco kissed Theo before heading out of the room. He walked into the living room to see Hermione wrapped in a red silky robe with her childhood handprint mug watching the tree.
“Mia, is everything okay?”
She turned to look at him with tears in her eyes. They sparkled under the glow of the tree.
“I can’t do it anymore Draco.”
He sat by her pulling her to lean on him. He brushed her wild bed curls behind her ears. “What can’t you do love?”
“This.” She gestured to them.
“I am not understanding Hermione.”
Tears fell down her cheeks. She tried to hide her face. Draco went to wipe her tears away when she moved quickly off the couch.
“Mia,” Draco said grabbing towards her. She moved like a skittish rabbit out of way.
“Why are we still a secret Draco? Why does Harry send you away when you should be home with Theo and I? Why can’t you take us to your mother’s Christmas dinner as your boyfriend and girlfriend? You just say no and that is it.”
Draco sighed. “You know why Hermione. We have talked about this.”
“It has been two years. You are the head of your family now, Lord Malfoy. Your father can’t cut you off anymore. Harry is not going to give a damn since you are friends now. Ron can just get over it. Your friends are my friends now.”
“My job would put you and Theo in danger.”
Hermione huffed. “Bullshit. It is all bullshit. Pansy married Harry. You don’t think she is any more danger than we would be. He is the head of the DMLE.” She walked away into the kitchen slamming the mug into the sink. Draco followed. Without turning around, she said “I can’t be your girlfriend anymore. Not like this. I can’t be a secret anymore.”
Draco’s heart broke. No no no he thought. “Hermione please.”
She turned to face him. “We are done Draco. I am done.”
“Hermione.” Draco and Hermione turned to see Theo behind them. He wore grey joggers barely looking awake. “We shouldn’t.....it is Christmas.”
She gave Theo a glare. “What happened to supporting me? No more hiding, remember? Draco fucks you into the mattress and all of a sudden you are just fine with what he wants. I am done with Draco. I am no one’s secret anymore.” She moved past both of them. Draco and Theo watch her go into the hallway and slam the guest bedroom door.
“Theo, you understand right?”
Theo looked at Draco’s pained face. “She isn’t wrong, Draco.” He sighed and scrubbed his face with his hand. “I think you need to go home. Happy Christmas. We......we will talk more later. I need to go apologize to her.”
Draco watched Theo head down the hall to the guest room. When the door opened, he heard crying. He looked at the clock over the sink. It was midnight. Happy Christmas.
------------------------------------------------------
When Draco walked out from the floo into the manor, he burst into tears. He doubled over crying holding on to the green wingback chair.
“Who is there,” a scared voice called out. Shit.
Draco took a breath. “Just me mother. Sorry to scare you.” He saw the parlor door open. His mother stood there in her floral housecoat; wand extended with a small elf in a matching housecoat peer behind her.
“Draco, love. What are you doing here?” She paused as she took him in. Black joggers, shirtless, with tears falling down his cheeks. She walked to him and gathered him up. He let everything out with his cries. All Narcissa could do was hold her son watching his grief pour out. She patted his back. “Come let’s get you to bed. We can talk in the morning.” Before Narcissa could call the elf, she felt tiny hands taking them to Draco’s room.
------------------------------------------
“You asshole!”
Draco threw a pillow over his head. “Happy Christmas to you too, Pans.”
“I am snuggling my husband who was late because of you.”
He moved out from his pillow to yell “Hey.”
Pansy put up her hand. “I was not done. Then we get interrupted by a frantic message from Narcissa telling us someone broke through her floo at fucking midnight just to learn it was your inconsiderate ass.”
He just stared.
“Well?”
“What do you want me to say? I had a shit night last night to just be woken up by a harpy.”
Pans grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. “Harry said you had a date with a flavor of the week. What happened did she want breakfast in the morning?”
“Pans…I am tired.”
She walked over and laid down next to him on the bed. “What happened? Narcissa said you were sobbing. You never cry.” Draco didn’t meet her eye. “You know if you needed a place to go on Christmas eve our home is always open.” She was just met with silence. “This wasn’t just a flavor of the week. Was she?”
“Pans,” Draco pleaded.
“Who is she? What did you do to cause her to break up with you on Christmas?”
Draco turned to face her. “Pans, I fucked up so badly.”
Pansy brushed his blond locks away from his eyes. “What happened?”
“I kept them a secret and because of that they broke up with me.”
“How long?”
He looked quizzically at her. “How long what?”
“How long did you keep this mystery person from me, your best friend?”
“You aren’t..”
Pansy interrupted, “Fine best friend who is a girl. We all know Theo is your bestest friend. Fucker.” She huffed. “Wait,” she furled her brow. She got quiet. “Was it Theo?” Her voice got louder. “Were you having an affair with my best friend’s boyfriend?”
“I thought you just said I was your best friend.”
“Keep up. I am your best friend but we all know that Granger needs a better friend than my husband. You would not do that though, right? Have an affair?”
“No”
“Who Draco?”
Silence.
“You said them. It was both. Granger and Theo. How fucking long?”
“Two years.”
Next , Draco’s shoulder hurt. “Ouch you hit me.”
“Two fucking years. Two fucking years you were dating them and didn’t tell a soul. You were lucky to it last that long. Why?”
“It started as a one-night stand that stuck. At the time, my father would have disowned me. It was new. I needed time.”
“And now?”
“Now…..I am scared Pans. They deserve more. I still get death threats. They would too. Hermione doesn’t deserve that. Theo doesn’t deserve that.”
Pansy readjusted to look at the ceiling. “Harry still gets messages about me. One day, I feel like he would realize I wasn’t worth staying around.” She turned her head to face Draco again. “He tells me every day that I am worth it. If Harry can say can that, show me that, what do you think Hermione would do? She would vanquish your enemies for you. She did it for Harry, and they are only friends. Theo has always been with you through your darkest time. He would not leave you over some threating messages.”
“How do I fix it? I can’t lose them.”
“Draco, you win them back.”
Theo kissed Hermione’s temple as she wrung her cocktail napkin. “Would you like to leave love?”
He watched her place the napkin on the high-top table. “No,” she said curtly.
“Hermione, it is okay. It has been less than one day since…… he is no longer with us.”
She didn’t answer. She went back to wringing her napkin and avoiding most people. Theo hated to see her like this. She was hurting. He slid his hand down her arms. “We don’t have to stay. We can make our excuses to Narcissa.”
Hermione turned to look at Theo. There was no courage left in her. “Let’s go home Theo. I......I can’t be here anymore. I keep waiting for him to pop up.” All Theo could do was nod. He was feeling the exact same.
As they head over to say goodbye to Narcissa, a frantic Pansy headed over to them. “You are not leaving yet are you,” she asked. Theo looked at Hermione before nodding. “Five minutes. Please give it five minutes then you can go. Something is happening you can’t miss.” Then she ran back off again.
“Theo, what was that? I have never seen Pansy like that.”
Before he could answer, the lights went low. Single light was a place around the small band that was playing. Then a single voice sang out.
“You’re just too good to be true. Can’t take my eyes off of you...”
Hermione grabbed Theo’s arm. “It is our song,” she breathed.
Theo watched as Draco sang and danced towards them. He looked magnificent in his grey dress robes. This man was publicly claiming them. This is all Theo wanted for Christmas. He would not want anything else. This had been his dream since sixth year when Draco sneaked him into the perfects bathroom and they shared their first kiss. This was his dream on the hot summer night when Hermione dared Draco to kiss him before he shared his wonderful sexy girlfriend with this man. This was everything. He looked at the smile on Pansy face and nod of approval. Narcissa just smiled and looked on. Theo felt a tear roll down his cheek. Hermione already started towards Draco pulling Theo along with her.
“Let me love you baby. Let me love you,” Draco finished in front of them. “Forgive me,” he whispered. “Please forgive me.”
Hermione with all the Gryffindor courage pulled Draco into a bruising kiss. Draco rubbed his hands down her open back then up the silky silver material of her dress. “I forgive you Draco,” she whispered. “I love you.”
Draco turned to Theo. “Theo, please tell me that you forgive me. I could not bare it if I lost you. You are everything to me. You and Hermione.”
“Drake,” Theo managed before Draco pulled him into a hungry kiss. Only one arm wrapped around Theo since he was holding Hermione’s hand. When Draco pulled away, he didn’t say a word. Theo put his forehead on Draco’s not wanting to break this moment. The next moment Draco apparited his lovers away from the room.
--------------------------------------------------
Draco needed someplace private to do this. The one place he thought of was his childhood bedroom. Merlin, he was nervous. He wanted to throw up while singing. However, he knew that he needed to publicly declare them as his before he could this.
When they landed, Hermione immediately broke away. “Draco, you know better then appariate us when we were not expecting it.” She started pacing the room. Draco didn’t hear a word that was said. Theo moved to Hermione to calm her down. Theo the mediator the perfect man to balance him and Hermione. He could not love them both more.
Draco bent on one knee while his lovers’ back were turned. He just waited.
“Mia, look.” Theo pointed to the kneeling Draco. Hermione stopped just looking wide eyed at him. Theo gave him a small smile.
“Marry me. Both of you, please marry me.” Before Draco knew, his wizard and witch pulled him into their embrace and kisses saying yes.
