all demons have some amount of fur in the inphinity !!!!
fur depends on where the demons live (depending on faction) ^_^
for example lost temple demons may have short fur and maybe even little parts where they have a few feathers due to them being the most religious faction to the deities (the deities have wings) and due to how hot it is there !! Sword has the little feather thing on the sides of his arms and some of his legs . that's probably a hc from a different fic but I don't remember so if someone knows tell me so I can credit them !!! :3
blackrock demons probably have the longest and thickest fur as it's canonically super duper freezing fucking cold there . sidenote but for this reason I feel like medkit probably has to get his fur trimmed after he escaped into lost temple . wouldn't wanna get heatstroke !
playgrounders probably have like . somewhat long fur . I feel like in Playground it has decently cold winters but during the summer a nice breeze is around the place due to the ocean around them !! some demons from Playground might like trimming slight patterns into their fur (like stripes !! or polka dots !!)
thieves' den most likely has around the same length of fur as playground demons do , but it feels a lot more ...... lighter ? if that makes sense ? it feels a lot lighter cause it's humid there and the sensation of the moist air getting trapped under their fur feels uncomfortable :-( a lot of demons combat this by getting the occasional trim or so , which makes the market for trims around there pretty good in the summer time !!!
demons CAN adapt to new places !!!! but it's harder for some than others :-( for example i feel like katana had a somewhat easy time adapting to the humidness of thieves' den when he moved from lost temple but summers sort of suck for him since his fur is definitely sort of thick . he doesn't like getting trims but he lets vinestaff help him with it sometimes
for medkit moving to Lost Temple he DEFINITELY had a hard time adapting to the heat . he has to spend more money than he'd like to getting his fur cut (not trimmed , that's how thick it is) . eventually he just started letting sword do it for him in return for cleaning it all up , something he probably hates doing cause of how messy it is
