Chapter 1: Pity

Chapter Text

Fight.

Porchay has never been much of a fighter. That had been Porsche. When his parents died, Porsche had been 5, Porchay an 18 months baby. He had two choices in front of him that day, fight, or flight. Fight for his and his brother’s life, and their place in this world, or flee behind his uncle’s shadow and crumble under the pressure of the word.

Porsche chose to fight. Because Fight had Chay in it. If he fought, he would be able to make sure that Chay would have his rightful place in this deranged world. Porchay chose to flee. He chose to hide behind his brother’s shadow, sheltered but never oblivious.

They both made their choices. And stuck to it. Which even now, formed into his habit. Porchay never fought. He fled. Just like he did when unfamiliar hands reached out to drag him out of the house compound.

Porchay didn’t like fights. But a fight didn’t always occur between two people. Yes, Porsche was a fighter. But so was Chay. The only difference is, Porsche fought on sight, and Porchay fought inside. Porsche fought with people, and Chay fought with his demons.

What was seen as him fleeing from danger, was him fighting his demons. That scream at him to hurt the same way he does. But Porchay won’t hurt someone, he couldn’t hurt others. Because his hia never taught him to be bad. Porchay was the perfect, respectful, sweet brother of Porsche. He would be disappointed if Porchay turned out anything more than that.

So he runs. Away from everything that haunts him.

Kim is an unassailable force. He is a storming center of gravity that leaves no one intact. Porchay couldn’t see much, the chloroform making his vision fade. But he fights through it. Afraid, he will drag Kim into a puddle with himself.

Kim isn’t one to go down easily tho. He manages to take down three of the four people who came for Chay, all on his own. That’s all Porchay sees before darkness consumes him. He is scared to shut his eyes and be lost to darkness, but that flicker of hope in his core of seeing Kim when he wakes up slips a displaced comfort in him.

Two tasers. It took him two fucking electrocuted tasers to faint . The knowledge drowns Kim in so much fury. This indicates that he was behind in practice. Kim was someone who stayed awake even after being electrocuted by Chan five times. His father made sure he could withstand any torture that came to win him unconscious.

People are weak when unconscious, and vulnerable to everything around them. So Korn made sure, none of his children would ever lose consciousness in a fight. And today, Kim lost his senses at just two tasers.

But what splurged his rage, was the fact that his weakness caused Chay to slip through his fingers. Kim let Chay slip through his fingers. Kim let people take that ball of light away. The ball of warmth that he had been too scared to touch, afraid of gobbling it up in mindless hunger.

But now, Kim was angry. He was furious, his field of gravity pulsing with the need to pull every single object in his path into himself and shred it apart. And he is unable to hold in the urge, so he does what he thought he would never do again. He picks up his phone and calls Kinn, his brother, and his boss.

“What happened at the main house?”

He knows for a fact that something in his house went wrong for it to go wrong in Kim’s life too. If something is wrong with the universe, his cosmos is sure to be disturbed too. And his cosmos was in shambles.

Only a single word is spoken before the call goes silent, “Tawan.”

Kim is bloodthirsty and no one is going to stop him on this warpath.

Porchay isn’t a stranger to darkness.

He has lived in it his entire life. But what is unnerving about this particular one, is the fact that he has no center. He is aimlessly floating in a universe that houses no stars, no planets, and no sun. In this darkness, Porchay doesn’t have Wik.

He doesn’t have Kim.

And it scares him.

Kim was the solid center that grounded Chay and kept him from floating away into the vast universe, Wik was the light that led him to Kim. Ans a space void of the two felt like death.

Porchay felt like he was going to burn out at any moment.

Porsche had once told him, that when god pities the living for their hardships, he grants them a space where they can mindlessly drift away without feeling a single ounce of pain. Porchay isn’t sure he likes it though.

Pain has always helped Porchay live on.

The pain of burning himself brought planets to his orbit. The pain of burning himself brought him, Kim. So he doesn’t like this space at all.

As he floats along the void, a quiet whisper resounds through the space.

“I want to go back to Kim.”
