Work Text:
In the world of one’s imagination, it is easy to think of which you fear. Yet in this palace of dreams, there is one who has not yet come to fathom this wretched nightmare. This one is a girl named Minori Hansato. She was dancing in this higher plane with her boyfriend Aoyagi Toya.
His hand was grasping hers in a soft delicate way akin to that of a swan. They held eachother like porcelain statues, fragile yet valuable. Their footwork was light and quick like a feather. They swayed in the moonlight shining on the mind palace’s ballroom. The stars shone bright as ever and Minori looked toward it. Little did she know that her loss of focus would be her downfall.
A banana peel appeared on the glassy floors of the palace. It materialized right as Minori stepped down where it was. Her grace was quickly trumped, and her lover’s complete and utter trust in the stability of the mind’s infinite dance was punished. The two began to fall, the slimy texture of the peel’s inner coating making it an ideal catalyst to their catastrophe.
The walls of the palace cracked as the illusion of a perfect moonlit dance began to fall. Statues hand carved and leafed in gold crumbled under mental pressure. The stars began to flicker out and die, like supernovas chaining in the vast abyss. You could hear expensive cutlery and silverware crashing in the distance, and wine bottles crashing onto the stained tiles that broke apart swifty. It was soon clear that the explosions of stars were not exclusive as you could hear explosive destruction litter the ground of the imagined earth.
In their palace of the mind, Toya and Minori clung onto eachother as the explosions fell and the stars decayed. Knowing it was their last moments, they let their lips meet, and their stars align as the ground falls beneath them. In their final moments, clarity plays and their bodies explode due to pure sillyness.
Minorirty then wakes up from eepy and crirs.
